It's an overpriced reissue with new bells and whistles. They didn't even bother to remold the fists to open and close. And it's just as fat and bulky as the original toy. The Legacy version is far more show accurate to Dairanger's DaiRen'Oh than anything Japan has made.

It's a high-end version of the original toy with all the bells and whistles they either couldn't or didn't do back then. The fact it's still big and bulky is part of the appeal.

Not appealing with that price tag.

I am sure the legacy version is better but at the same time I can see the potential appeal it could have towards fans who might prefer this particular mold of Dairenoh for it having more nostalgic value as the toy they played with in 1993 plus fancier paint job.

I think there are enough differences from the legacy version to make me want to pick this up: the extra helmet with the eyes and sword for the finisher, the 5 jewels, and more chrome. I also noticed the back of the lion shoulder pads are completely painted; the legacy version only painted those designs in the front. I never had the original DX, so the opening cockpit with the rangers is another plus too. I love the more modernized, slender look to the legacy version, but this old-school bulky look definitely appeals to me too.
