I think it's not really the final battle, it's more like "Post Final Boss" level of the series; the final battle were Gamedeus Cronus and Super Gamedeus previously.

Also reviving Parado and Poppy is already seen on like, W ending for Phillip. And that is already kinda spoiled by the True Ending trailer (Parado being one of the Riders, Poppy being infected) that is shown when the series was airing.

Yeah, the sacrifice part is why it's definitely love-or-hate; but for me it worked quite well. I'm kind of a sucker for break-through-impossible-odds-with-the-power-of-love-and-or-your-spirit, and like... the odds here is death, but it's still great!
