Another interesting comic which makes me unnerved that I don't live near a legitimate comic book store! I have to drive two hours north or 90 minutes south to reach something that would have this (when it releases).

There's always digital! It's an Image book, so you should be able to purchase it on sites like Comixology on the day of release.

I'm not familiar with his other work (though what I'm hearing here makes me optimistic) so I don't know what to expect from the story, but dang, that suit design is fantastic! It's simple but striking and really makes that stark black-and-white color scheme work, especially with the bluish energy effects. I lowkey already want it as an action figure.

Kyle was the architect in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic book when it launched that gave the world the Shattered Grid and the new villain character Lord Drakkon. He also made that live-action Shattered Grid trailer with Jason David Frank that blew up huge. He was even, at one point, in discussion to write an actual live-action "Coinless" series that got canned with the Saban/Hasbro swtichover.

As for his writing style - Kyle loves to tell over-arcing stories that are also self-contained if that makes sense. You will get a full story from front to back of each issue but also expand out a larger story in the process. And he loves page-turners, where you turn the page to a big scene or a shocking surprise. Really makes each comic you read an experience front to back.

TOMORROW (Wednesday) - our in-depth and (mostly) spoiler-free look at Issue 01 of Radiant Black.

Not bad. Didn't overly spoil too much and I want it a little more... which is unique cause I don't pay much attention to Image!

Having my own "get-my-foot-out-the-door" issues in life, so something that echoes the like might be fun and even a little helpful.

The hook is the last page of Issue 01 that I refuse to spoil. When I read/saw I literally said "NO FU--ING WAY" out loud (which you don't do when you have a 4 year old). And I think it'll get everyone else on board.

That animated trailer was pretty cool! Still excited to see how the comic turns out.
