I think it would be become boring in story if Ace is never lose in every DGP tournaments.

If Ace is losing in this season, I prefer Ace is losing because the other players are powerful.

I really dislike if Ace losing because GM's sinister plan just like in the previous DGP tournament.

Damn it, I just cannot get into this show. I dunno why even. Just doesn’t feel like a Rider show to me. I’m burnt on this stuff I guess. Very frustrating

I was stewing over "why is Michinaga even still in this show," and then it hit me that, actually, he may quickly become less of a one-note character. His whole "I hate all Kamen Riders" deal is about the death of his friend at the hands of awful players earlier in the DGP... well, now he has the opportunity to come face-to-face with his friend again.

One thing I find myself really appreciating about this show is how it's not always just straight up fights. Definitely gives it a varied flavor. I also find it very funny how the reality show angle explains a lot of weird stuff that happens. Whatever gets their show the best ratings flies... Or maybe the DGP makes more of its money from merch sales.


I do often find it is a show I don't have much to say about weekly though, even when I like it.

A green Secondary Rider named Sakurai? Never heard of him!

Even Neon, Daichi and Sae shouldn't have comparable popularity to the most famous Star of the Stars of the Stars, other than Sara for Neon. For Ace to be only ranked third, it supports my hypothesis that the viewers and sponsors are unaffected by resets and thus don't celebrate them like everybody else, so the results would be based on performance in the game and likability, much like any reality show. People like to see tall buildings get knocked down, so I imagine there'll be a lot of viewers bored with Ace's constant wins and they'll vote tactically to make him more likely to lose.

That's a good analysis of the reasons for and against each player being the Desire Star. I'd like to add that since the DGP want Ace to lose, they probably wouldn't give him an easy way to win. Keiwa's the only one who's not a popular celebrity, so they might give it to him, even though he'd be against betraying others for personal gain and might deny that option. Alternatively, I think this could be very likely: Nobody is the Desire Star and the DGP only told everybody that to break their trust.

It's welcome free publicity for Neon, which increases her chance of getting noticed by her true love. The communal living is a bonus, as she can easily get out of her house for a few weeks, while Irumi probably goes mad with worry. Sucks to be 1% Man Keiwa though.

I totally think there's something screwy about Ace's recollection to make Niram consider that he's lying about it. Like maybe the DGP didn't veto Ace's original desire, but rather the desire is impossible. Even Daichi's desire for all of human memories got accepted, so whatever's the deal with Mitsume, I guess it's not something included in "human memories". Ace has memories of Mitsume, therefore he's either not human, or delusional. Mitsume must be the key to unlocking this mystery and that's why the DGP are so tight-lipped about her existence.

- Really liking the new Riders. Both Sae and Daichi seem like really interesting characters, and I'm eager to see more of them as this iteration of the DGP goes on.

- I'm throwing my prediction into the ring that the Desire Star is either one of our two newly-introduced Riders, or entirely made up just to mess with the Riders. I can't see Neon or especially Keiwa being the type to act as an impostor, and even if Girori isn't the GM anymore, I have my doubts that the new management would be too keen to give another opportunity for victory to the Rider with an unprecedented winning streak.

I'm leaning slightly towards Daichi as the Desire Star, but we don't know that much about Sae either, so I don't think I can rule her out just yet.

- So apparently Mitsume isn't actually Ace's mother... possibly. Jiin seems to imply that there's some secret to Ace's very existence that he's yet to find out, but even Niram and Samas (who one would imagine know more than Jiin) seem to consider it technically possible that Mitsume is Ace's mother, even if it's highly unlikely and it would "shatter our understanding of the world."

Those two things together scream "artificial being" to me. So she's not his mother, she's his creator.
