Just watched the first episode of Red Ranger Becomes and Adventurer in Another World, it rules so far. I love all the Sentai tropes it plays with and how they fit into a medieval fantasy type of setting. This show is gonna be fun.

Red Ranger isekai anime is finally here. I'll admit that I I found the manga far funnier, but I'm willing to give the anime a chance.

I looked. Well, it was interesting and funny, although some of the jokes seemed too forced to me. And one-sided, because it’s not like fantasy doesn’t have plenty of its own absurdity, which is also worth noting. Perhaps the main minus for me: missing the first six months spent by the hero in the new world. After all, this is the most interesting thing. And the comments from a peasant/simple swordsman sounded more natural than from a sorceress. That is, a complaint from a sorceress about strange gestures and screams, when literally a couple of minutes later she uses a spell in a similar way - this is the same attraction. But the joke that the Rangers' weapons look like toys seems quite natural. 3D looked very constrained. Plus, to my personal misfortune, I watched it in dubbing, where the studio, in order to be the first, left at least half of the episode without translation. The pieces are also mixed together, especially so that they are unnoticeable when rewinding. I will never choose this voiceover again.
But these are all just nitpicks, and the overall impression is positive. I'll keep looking. https://static.hdrezka.ac/i/2025/1/1...3vl94i78t.jpeg |

I tried the manga, dropped it as soon as I realized its generic isekai trash.
Toku hero in a real fantasy world would’ve been cool, not the same old videogame-world nonsense. Power levels for characters, EXP-points are a thing and monsters drop items – wow, so original, we haven’t had that a billion times already. Sad times when even Toku-inspired anime sinks that low. |
