Not sure I don't use Hulu. I bought the Animeigo Macross slim-pack sub set years back when Robotech.com had it on sale for like $40, which was a steal considering that the initial version(broke down into sets) was a couple hundred IIRC.

I found the dub to be appalling. Roy Focker sounding like a surfer guy? Helllllnoooo

I bought the DX VF-171 last month and am enjoying it. Looks awesome.

Well...I can't find the Japanese version anywhere, so it's either this or Robotech.

Dude it's subtitled....rare for a Japanese Macross release! Especially Frontier! Man I wish the tv series frontier blu ray set was subbed. Damn licensing issues!

I only seen a few episodes of Macross 7 and Frontier. Both are very good, I still need to see them fully. I did watch Robotech when it was on Toonami back in 1998 for a while. It seems like HG does not want any of the Macross shows to come out in the US.

I love both Robotech and Macross.

I forgot that I saw the original series, Do You Remember Love and Macross Plus. Macross Plus was my first introduction to the Macross as a kid in the 90s with Manga Entertainment releasing it on VHS.

Also do Macross vs. Robotech debates exist similar how Toku sites have Power Rangers vs. Super Sentai debates? Both Robotech and Power Rangers are similar how they edited a show from Japan and edited it to appeal to an western audience. They also mixed in other shows later on that didn't have any connection with each other.

I like both Macross and Robotech. Robotech is pretty good until the show jumps the shark after the later half of the series IMO.

How many comics, series, video games, exist between Macross and Robotech?

Great news! Macross/Robotech was my first anime love ever. These days I'm a bigger fan of other mecha shows, but not for lack of trying. With the licenses tied up, it was always difficult to be a fan. I probably have over 100 Gundam models and not a single Macross model.

I have all the time in the world for Macross. Even though I was somewhat disappointed by Delta and felt it to be a less realised AKB0048, I still think one poor entry over the course of almost 40 years is a lot better as a track record than some other shows. :p

I didn't think this would happen. HG would always put Macross in the dust similar to how Saban & Disney used to did with Sentai for ages. I hope we will get these shows on Blu-Ray.
