Man I've gotta say that after seeing these pics I have no interest at all in buying these. I hate it when they just make up new transformations like this. I wanted to compare this thing to my original Gosei Great but it's clear that the BOJ version is superior.

If I'm going to spend $150-175 on a mecha, I'm glad I spent it on the Tategami li-oh, instead. I was considering buying the Goseiger toys in August, but a fraction of the price and they're close enough, since I'm not going to lose sleep over them not looking exactly like Gosei Great.

$150-175? What prices are you looking at? I paid $110 shipped for a pair of Gosei Great and Ground. Goseiger toy prices have been on a downward trend for months. And even my brand new Tategami Li-Oh was only about $124 delivered.

120 shipped for LT-06 is likely at a place like Amiami, which isn't the easiest place to get a shipment from. Even HLJ has it for $120 before shipping with a quick search. And where are you finding the Goseiger things for 50-60 a piece?

Actually I got Li-Oh on Mandarake, it's currently still listed at several of their shop locations for 8000 yen before shipping. Got the Great and Ground from a member here at that price. Found all of the header sets in one big lot for 1500 yen on Mandarake as well. Like I said Goseiger toy prices have been on steady decline, most likely because of Megaforce coming up soon.

Please tell me these are the same as the Asian release?

The stuff released looks rather good. That said, I'm not sure what, if anything, I'll get. Not because any of this stuff looks bad, but there's other stuff that I'm collecting that'll take priority over getting back into Power Rangers (Transformers, TMNT, Halo, Star Trek...). Though once I see this stuff in-person, I might not be able to help myself, lol...

Honestly, I could very well be in the minority on this, but honestly, all of this looks better than the BoJ equivalents...to me anyways. If I wasn't collecting so much as it was, and/or had a fair amount of extra cash, I would be pretty much all-in for this line.

I'm not sure what to make of the Zords yet. On the one hand, the sword is a big improvement over the Goesiger one, and I think they all look pretty decent individually. On the other hand, the new combinations may take some getting used to, and seems to be unnecessary additions on Bandai's part.

At least from what I can see, a few of these Zords seem to have lacking paint details. In fact, they almost look as if there were supposed to have stickers to make up the detail. Were there any stickers, raz?

And no, that Megazord is not worth $40. $33 was already pushing it and you are not charging $40 for a smaller Megazord, Toys R Us. Why that was the price of the full-sized electronic BoJ DX replicas a few years back! At the rate these prices rise, they will be no different than Japanese pricing.

No stickers, and don't forget we paid $50 for megazords back during MMPR. I loved $30 megazords, but $40 makes my wallet cry. I hope these are just prelim prices.

So can we confirm if the Gosei morpher (not sure if I got the name right) really does read cards?

I stopped into TRU this morning and there was a large double-sided center isle display with the Megazord, Brothers, large figures, roleplay toys etc...

All we know is that the Gosei Morpher has 180 sounds and uses 160 cards, just like the Tensouder.

also that mean like you said in your video the USA cards are biger that means the gosei morpher is slightly taller and slightly wider so they can use the cards.

Nice job, Raz. And they should be. I just picked up the Clawzord for 25 and the Beetle for 10 at Wal*Mart. They'll come down, always do.

Wow, so they really cut out Datas Hyper altogether huh?

I saw the same earlier.

Makes me wonder if they're altering the show transformation itself. Cutting out the bits where Datas combines with Gosei Great.

Also, forgive me if this was mentioned before, but did they keep those wing joints that could allow the wings to fold backward (as seen in Comic-con)?

remember the areation made in the samurai megazord toys with tiger and beetle i feels its just that and the show will see it combined with a datas and the get a crappy verstion of the toy like we did with light zord

It really is bewildering why they'd do this. :confused: One would think it would be easier to straight-up copy an existing design that is already very simple to begin with.

My guess is that Datas just doesn't have a place in the style of toy releases that BoA is currently following. The only place he could have gone is the auxiliary line or maybe something like the Tiger Tank from Super Samurai, but those already seem to be full of other things which are relevant to other combos. In pure speculation, my guess they'll try to switch over to Gokaiger stuff halfway through the line like Samurai went to Super Samurai, so the deluxe megazords for the next two waves will be Gokai Oh and GoZyuJin, the auxiliary zords being replaced by the Patstriker, Magidragon and that Hurricanger thing, and the "Tiger Tank/Groundion" spot being taken up by Gao Lion. It's completely baseless, but I think it works.

That sounds reasonable. Maybe the "third Megazord" slot (like the Bullzord) could be taken up by Gosei Ultimate and Machalcon respectively.
