I am a huge Gokaiger fan , but it is what it is. I am not mad about this. In fact I think it makes Gokaiger even more special for me. I would rather Marvelous and co. Remain untouched then have Americans I don't like ruin them in some way. I still find it hard to believe that we won't see them in some capacity. As evil rangers or just Gokai Silver joining the team. Who the hell knows what they have planned.

I remember one fan's theory that the Gokaiger suits would be used as Evil Rangers hunting down past teams.

Its pretty random but I wouldn't mind seeing that happen.

Also, let's remember that Saban stated that this season will be really expensive and over the top, I'll bet that claim is going towards the truckload of new footage they'll need in Season 2.

I'm a huge Gokaiger fan, but i'm actually really happy about this news. The Goseiger suits make a much better anniversary thing than Gokai (due to the inclusion of a black ranger rather than green), and without a changeover hopefully the transition between the seasons will be much smoother. It's a bit sad that we may not get BoA ranger keys, but the prospect of a really good Gosei morpher which uses ranger cards (yes, I'm holding onto that one until it happens) really excites me. All this series needs to do now is bring back a resurrected Zedd as the head of the Zangyack :D

Hopefully this will raise chances for some Goseiger figuarts too.

Please God Make That Happen. That would be just freaking awesome. The Gigant Horse flying over head, the zoom into the cockpit.. And Zedd slowly turns around in his Z Throne from season 02 and gives that epic cackle.

Rumors have it that they are going to be casting for USA Gokai Silver so it MMPR season 2 all over again folks

The Weirdness That is Saban's Power Rangers Has Returned.

Well this is disappointing. I wanted to see the Gokaiger suits, and with them reusing the Goseiger ones there's pretty much no reason for Gokaiger Figuarts to come over here.

My anger is really towards the potential lack of merchandise rather than how content. Show-wise it probably won't be so bad since it's an anniversary. I'll give the show a chance to see what they really end up doing. With the Gosei Great Megazord toy actually being pretty good, I have high hopes for the rest of the line.

Yeah, the Figuarts part is the thing that bums me out the most. I'd have loved a second chance at GokaiRed for a reasonable price.

Well, it's a bit disappointing, but not the end of the world.

Or just, y'know, neither 'good' or 'evil'. If something other than black & white exists in the PR universe...

But Gokais Red, Blue, Green, and Silver are all still incredibly reasonable on the secondary market. You can regularly find them for 1500-2500 yen before shipping. SAL on one would probably only run about 1000.

I'm still betting we'll see the Gokai suits in some fashion. Like others have suggested, maybe they are another team (good or evil) that will fight with (or against) the Megaforce team.

My own theory: The US Gokaigers will be a team of veteran rangers, rather than a new cast. Thus, it wouldbe unlikely for them to appear in every episode.

The whole premise of the show is daft in th efirst place, why not explain it.

I think it's a shame but it just means we won't see the Gokaigers badly dubbed and edited over.

As for merch, i always found the mecha more interesting as toys than the rangers anyway. The only time i have gone out of my way to get ranger figures was with the figuart Gokaigers, and now they're all the more special since it's unlikely we'll see them get reissued outside of japan.

For those who like Goseiger though, it might become easier to get a hold of SHF Gosei Knight and they may even make a red.

Here is another question... how do you explain the Gokaiger symbol all over Gokai-Oh?

I was expecting this. Megaforce is only 20 episodes in season one, which will be all Goseiger footage. Goseiger had 50 episodes in Japan. I heard Nickelodeon only allows 20 episodes per season, a reason why Saban created the Vortex block to get back to the norm of 40-50 episode seasons. This has nothing to do with the costumes, it's all about telling a decent story within the span of only 20 episodes. The transition from Dino to Ninja in MMPR was over the span of 2 years and 100 episodes. Kids have no problem with suit changes seeing we have been doing it for the past 17 years since Zeo. And going off the popularity of One Piece and Pirates of the Caribbean is hardly a reason to adapt Gokaiger seeing Space Pirates is a different breed than normal Pirates. Not to mention that we are 2 series behind and Gokaiger alone isn't enough to sale on it's own. Gokaiger is based on a 35 anniversary of Super Sentai, Power Rangers is only HALF that, and as you can see, they are only using half of the show.


If you look at the Gokaiger toy line, it's not very big at all, it's all macha based and that's all we are using. I always doubt we were getting the Ranger Keys, if you look at BOA record of collectibles within any given season: Dinothunder's Dino Plates, NinjaStorm's Power Disks, RPM's Engine Cells, Samurai's Power Disk. We dot even have a full set of any of those in America. We have a little over 100 Power Rangers, I honestly doubt we would get a full set of Ranger Keys if Japan had a hard enough time, taking 2 years to put out about 200 keys. Bandai is pushing this card game hard, if Megaforce will be incorporating a "Gokai Change", putting them out in card form is much easier, not to mention we have 2 years of Megaforce to do it in.


Think of the average place in a story line in about episode 20 while watching Super Sentai or a regular series of Power Rangers. We are usually getting the 6th Ranger by then or around episode 13 or so. If everything is always drastically changing every 5-10 episodes; new villains, new Ranger, New Zords etc... So it's not even about having an explanation it's about having enough time to tell a good story and sale toys. I mean what's the point of introducing something new only to see it for 2 episodes and have something new again tossed in your face 5 episodes later? Then there is no room for character development because they're spending all the time explaining where all these new powers are coming from. Saban is finally aiming this show at us as well as kids, I want the best show possible regardless of what costume is being worn.


There was no real reason for skipping Dairanger other than the Zyuranger suits are what's bringing in the money, so if it's not broken don't fix it. The only reason they used Alien Rangers the way they did was to test the waters to see if kids would be ok with a different style of Ranger on TV. We could still see the Gokaiger in the fashion of how the Alien Rangers appeared in MMPR.

They could have done like they did in power rangers in space, were the introduce a new red ranger, and use four of the rangers from mega force, and the other ranger could be reintroduced as the silver ranger during that part of the show.

Well I'm still holding my ground for two reasons.One,the Gokaiger suits are too iconic for them to skip and two,not once does it say they're going to skip the Gokaiger suits,it just says they're going to "use" the Goseiger suits.It doesn't say to what extent or for how long.Everyone is jumping the gun on a quote that really has no full explanation,just a quote that leads to more questions.

The reason some of us are upset is Saban mislead. First they told people pirates were to scary for children. Then they back tracked. Then they tell people Gokaiger fans will be happy. How is it making Gokaiger fans happy taking out some of the best parts of the show and cramming Goseiger suits on it?

Saban just realized how epic Goseiger is.
