Look like sentai suits to me.

Look, I love sentai. LOVE IT. But I don't really understand why some folks (not necessarily the folks here, but certainly elsewhere) get so damn keyed up about the suit designs or, my biggest pet peeve, the colors. If the only thing wrong with a show is that you don't like the colors of the cast, or the wacky trim on the costumes, count yourself very lucky indeed.

Dino Trains, hell yes! Den-o like, yesssss! Oh, and loving the suit designs!

I think that's because the aesthetics of Super Sentai do play a big part in its appeal. We like the characters to look good so we can proudly display them on our shelves as Figuarts. We enjoy them looking cool as they fight baddies on screen. It simply is the nature of such a show that the look of the characters play as big a part as the story or characterization.

I'll say though, I don't think there is a single modern Super Sentai suit design that I actually dislike. If there's a wonder about Super Sentai, is that there has not been a single dud (at least for me) in the modern (Heisei) age.

so they're going to have an armor upgrade from the word go eh? how Abaranger, I like it.

For what little we have to go on, I like the suit designs. Reserving full judgment for when we have high quality full body shots of the suits.

Loving those suit designs. They feel very retro.

Honestly not sure if I like them. The only thing I don't dig is the yellow zigzag. I think I'd buy into it representing dino teeth and train tracks... and even though yellow IS my favorite color... It just sticks out too much and doesn't look good. The color should've varied with each suit.

I'll wait until we get high-quality pics before I make judgment. But an interesting choice of colors for the five-Ranger team nonetheless.

I really do love these designs. I love sentai suits with armored bits and asymmetry. And if the trains turn out to be true, well, Ill lose mind :lol

I don't like the yellow stripes/sashes on the torsos but otherwise these suits are awesome. Interesting how they're going with both Black and Green but no Yellow.

From what I can tell from the second pic (provided by DecaEnd of HJU) the right side of the yellow stripe near the left shoulder has their dino emblems on them. You can almost clearly see the T-Rex on red roaring. On Black it looks like a Saurolophus. Judging by the helmet design and rumors pink is the Tricera. My bet is on green to be brachio and blue to be stego or vice versa.

Well we can look at it this way. If the show is a big success and sells a bunch of toys. Then our chances of mostly regular release figuarts goes up. Thus making Pink the only exclusive. Chances seem slim, but what the hell!

Red – Gabutyra (T-Rex)
Black – Parasagan (Parasaurolophus)
Blue – Stegotchi (Stegosaurus)
Green – Zactor (Velociraptor)
Pink – Tricera (Triceratops)

With Rex, Stego and Tricera forming the Megazord.

Oooh, nice choices for main team members. Especially the raptor.

I admit Raptor is a nice choice and different,but what's it gonna turn into? I can't see it being a shield and it'll be too small to be a weapon(unless they make it a sweet claw weapon or a blaster for the megazord).Makes me think this'll be a two weapon megazord,like Gokaiger.Maybe a sword and claw combo.

Oh! Black and Green are pulling a Liveman on us! Sweet! That probably means their dinos will become a separate mecha and combine with the red/blue/pink mecha later.

If the train thing is still accurate, then dinosaur size shouldn't matter.

I kinda love them. Something different is always fun and welcome. My first thoughts were:

Red looked like Vul Eagle
Blue looked like Blue Swallow
Yello...oops
Black looked like Gosei Black
Green looked like Ginga Green
Pink looked like Gokai Pink


Of course this was just first thing in the morning, and from a distance, but this should at the very least be a fun show. Oh, and let's hope our writer can pull out another big hit after W. Besides, this is an even number year so if the trend continues, we should be in for a nice treat. ;)

Gonna have to wait for better pics to decide myself, although I'm more excited to see the mechs personally =]

HOLY CRAP WHAT THE HELL

That's the first thought I had when I saw these things. Which is definitely not bad. These are pretty crazy suits. It's the first time they did the animal-mouth-visor look when the mouth was THE ENTIRE FACE. It's pretty neat, but it's also pretty distracting to have the mouth plate in the middle of the animal mouth. The yellow looks out of place, and I really don't think that's a green senshi. Maybe they'll have both a normal and light blue? :D

Also, for a series that people thought was going back to basics, this is hitting a lot of Showa chords(no yellow, the armor reminds me of JAKQ, etc.).

But if the train thing is accurate,and size doesnt matter,wouldnt the final product be kinda bland?

I'll be giving this a shot for sure, and the minipla mecha sets will be mine.

Oh never have and never will,just hope it turns out ok.I have faith in it,seeing as how all previous train "zords" were spot on awesome.I'm just wondering what the two leftover mecha/trains will become or do.

The suit designs does look a bit like Gingaman with the sash.

And I like the fact that they're starting with 5 rather than 3. I've always thought 3 is a small number for sentai.

I just remembered that Go-busters came up with the whole "leather suit" idea, which I think I'll miss with Kyoryuger. I hope Toei picks up the leather suits sometime in the future.
