Personally I like mecha that are strong in their own right. That's why I loved In Space/Megaranger's so much, for example. Cluster combinations are hideous. Auxillary are... okay, so long as they truly add something. FalconZord is a prime example of it working beautifully. ;)

Ryujin is Silver Gokai's mecha. The Drill/Rex/person thing. And Eletric, it's what I consider them. I don't care what they really are.

But it does matter, because it completely changes your argument when everybody else is reading it differently than how you mean it.

Nothing changes my arguement. The official listing, I guess, is their Auxillary Mecha or Machines. My opinion is they're weapons not actual Mecha. That's not changing how you see them, that's not changing Toei's mind, that's just my opinion on what they are. Failing to see why this is becoming such an issue. It's like when I said Gosei Knight is an Other, not a sixth. My opinion. That's all.

Actually, it does change your argument. You're under the mindset that the Headers are just weapons, while other are treating them as full fledged additional mech. How the two different groups perceive them change how they treat them when it comes to the "Ultimate" combinations.

i loved g12 but i like gobusters mecha that were focused individuality rather than on every episode you have to combine the mecha and individual modes are trashed and useless, i loved that idea, on the toys however i heard they had really bad connections and breaks easily that's disappointing with gobusters but i like the boukenger designs and gekiranger's it was simple transformations and designs. g12 was a pain in the rear for a design.

Yep, the mecha fights in Gobuster were a highlight. Shinkenger's my favorite Sentai, but even I got tired of them immediately forming the Ika buster and one-shotting the enemy. Sometimes they wouldn't even fight in combined form. Just stock combining animation to stock firing animation to victory pose with explosion. Gobuster's mecha fights are a breath of fresh air.

One thing I'll give Shinken is how they brought together the most random assortment of animals, and shapes, and brought them together into something cohesive. I liked that Ika Buster/Samurai Battle Cannon though. They over-spammed it but the design I liked.

toy wise clusters are fun to put to gether, but in the show when it becomes the only mech they use after they get it takes away from the power of "all the zords in one".

Exactly this. Once they reach an ultimate form they power-spam it every episode afterward. I don't think Boukenger/Operation Overdrive did though. And Mystic Force/Magiranger did use Magiking/Titan Megazord after recieving Manticore Megazord (What was the Magi name again?). Samurai/Shinken powerspammed the hell out of it's ultimate form. And I still want to know how you get the damn thing airborne, let alone make it flip and then land without it destroying itself under it's own weight.

Well, it brings it back to the classic argument of "Why don't they start the battle with their strongest move?"
And when they finally do decide to do that (Kiva going Emperor at the start of a fight, Megazords beginning battles with their ultimate combination, Rangers going straight from unmorphed to super mode, etc) everyone suddenly has a problem with it?

I much prefer how Magiranger/Mystic Force did it which skipped the whole arguement all together. There was no real Ultimate Combination. Just a selection of seperate Mecha where nothing combined. That and Boukenger. They used a plentiful amount of other combinations aside from the 'ultimate'.

That's one of the suckiest parts about how much toy sales dictate these shows. Even if the power has a catch, like PuToTyra and whatnot, the writers are pretty much forced to have the rider or ranger overcome that immediately so it can keep appearing for toy sales. Rubbish, I tell you.

Like how Ichigo used his Bankai and the power of it cracked his bones, but the next time he used it it was fine and never explained why.

Well, in the case of PuToTyra Eiji never really had control. Granted, he calmed down hella quick, but he was still raging, at the very least.

But when it comes to Rangers and Sentai, yeah, it's annoying.

That's because whatever damage his Bankai did was nothing compared to the train wreck that was Bleach's story.

I used to think that too,till I realized the first few seasons were "Someone got kidnapped,lets go rescue them!"

I do like how Boukenger handled the power struggle thing alot better then other shows.They at least explain how they overcome the obstacle.

Which I never understood Siren Builder when I watched OO,but now I do.It makes sense since they said Eiji is a hunter of Ashu.In OO,they just said he had a vendetta against The...ugh....Fearcats.(Worst villain name ever for most badass looking badguys)

Worst part is they coulda been the next Pyscho Rangers,if they werent on Operation Overdrive.lol.I could've seen them being an amazing villain on Jungle Fury as Minions of Jarrod/Dai Shi.

I gave it up because the filler was so disjointed that I lost interest. I'm already ready for Bleach and Naruto to have "Kai" verisons that cut out all the crap.

One of the many awesome things about Blade was how they handled that aspect of King Form. Yes, it became usable, but it still needed to be managed or else... well, spoilers.

Bleach Kai probably wouldn't make a difference, since apparently it was canceled.
Naruto Kai would still run about 300 episodes, even when cutting out the multiple solid 100 episode blocks of filler.

I love how King Form was handled. It was great.

Bleach pulled an Inuyasha and will more likily come back after the manga is done and have no filler at all.

Now what, exactly was wrong with the Fearcats? I loved those guys. Them and Miri, that female Ninja girl, were about the only things I did enjoy about that damn show.

They were ok,but the names are what got me.Fearcats? They really couldnt think of anything better? Like I said though,they would've made perfect minions for Dai Shi in Jungle Fury.

Thats what Im hoping for, becuase the story in the manga is really good and they dont want RANDOM fillers messing it up.

the fearcats were awesome and still a better name than moogers or loogies. actually all the villains were pretty solid.

But on to more Boukenger. The Siren Builder I see working IRL. The Ambulance and Patrol Car can drive up to the side, be pulled into place using clamps and hydrolics. And then the whole thing can just left up like on the show.

But onward. Cyclopsis. Best thing ever or best thing ever?

I didn't mind the Fearcats' name. What killed them for me were the voices (and, you know, being on Operation Overdrive).

Didn't they pilot a Zord of some sort?
