I actually don't collect any of this kinda stuff, but I LOVE Lego's Monster Fighter line, I'd just never buy any for myself because as if I need to get into another line of something where I'm dropping 15 - 50 quid a time.

That is a really bad design for a ship. One good wave or a strong gust of wind and that puppy is capsizing.

None of the "The Lego Movie" sets are designed to be realistic. Just the batshit crazy awesome stuff you can make out of Lego.

That's right, it's supposed to be wacky. The pirate captain himself is sone sort of cyborg. I love the exaggerated effect, and love how it still looks fantastic and coherent even with the exaggeration.

Actually each one of the movie sets can be built as their inspiration.That Ice cream jet can actually be built as an Ice Cream truck.

I finally got the Metalbeard set from the Lego Movie and its freaking rocks.

The building process was really fun and I never expected the finished figure to be that poseable. The giant Sword is also so damn awesome.

The LEGO Movie has to be the best LEGO line in a while. So much variety, and all with a strong emphasis on "fun".

Mixels look like something I'd love to collect. They're cute and provide lots of parts if you ever get bored of them.

Tried checking both Toys R Us and Target yesterday to see if they had the Cloud Cuckoo Palace set from the Lego Movie.

They do not. :( What's worse is that there's BARELY any Lego Movie sets at the Toys R Us I was at. I knew the movie was awesome, but damn, Lego can't keep these sets on the shelves! :lol

Went and snagged me three blind bags and got the Where are my Pants Guy,Marsha Queen of the Mermaids and a spare Wiley Fusebot.

Then I went again two hours later to get one more because of the spare figure. So 20 minutes worth of touching bags at the toy store and I finally got Larry the Barista :lol

Now I have 10 of the 16 figures :D

Very nice. Metalbeard is the one set I want from the movie (well, and the Sea Cow...), but I don't really have any interest in the Micro Manager at all, so that's been holding me back from getting it since I'm not sure it's worth it for what amounts to half the set.

The Micro Manager is definately not the highpoint of the set :lol

We had the set on sale here so I got it for 30 bucks instead of 35 and I think its pretty worth it even if you are not interested in the MM. The Minifigs it comes with are nce and Metalbeard is a really fun build and a really cool action figure on its own.

I'm really tempted by Metalbeard too, and (probably not needed but just to be safe...) Bennys spaceship spaceship spaceship! Possibly Emmets mech I'm still undecided on that though.

I also picked up all of series 1 of the Mixels sets the other week. Wasn't going to get all of the electric tribe as I didn't like the design of the Max, or any of their individual ones. After building everything they actually ended up as my favourites all round. If you could only get one though I'd suggest Vulk... He has so much character!

I wanna get them too they look really awesome. Really high on my list though is the Police Dropship with the only movie accurate Batman minifig

I also saw the new Ultra Agents theme and I must have some of those. Especially the giant Helicopter-Plane-Thingy looks badass.

I'd forgotten about that, it looks awesome too! The fact that it comes with a Ninjago guy seems a bit random to me, then again I don't know what other master builder I'd rather have in so, eh.

My only issue is I'm not a massive Lego fan. Had some sets as a kid and have recently got into it for the Marvel and DC kits. Now with mixels appealing to my love for pokemon esque things and cool combinations, and the awesomeness of the lego movie and it's sets I'm worried it's another rabbit hole to fall down =p

The Movie really made me wanna buy Legos again so I got two blind bags two weeks ago and since then I bought alot more of them, the Getaway Glider and Metalbeards Duel :lol

Had a fun time building the Melting room. Being more into Gunpla, I found Lego a nice departure.

It's too bad there's no James Bond mini fig because that'll be perfect for this set.

For Easter I got the Mega Bloks Megaforce Gosei Great Megazord. It's a really good set. I don't like the translucent Megaforce Red figure though, but that's a personal preference. Translucent plastc to me always feels and looks cheap for some reason. But I love the set itself. It was easy to put together, the joint system works better and fits more solid than LEGOs ball and joint system. And it's a really good size.

Hmm a joint system that is better than LEGO? That might be mighty interesting. One weak spot in LEGO is always the articulation joints of mecha and the like.

The Gosei Great Mega has this really nice clip-together ratchet joint that makes it all really solid.

Images of LEGO Minecraft sets have been leaked/revealed and I can't be more excited! The coolest thing is that they're really emphasising the creative aspect of Minecraft, giving alternate builds for each set, with one even sporting 8 in 1 builds!

Yeah, these look really cool. I especially like the crafting box set. I'm impressed with the mobs too, the Creeper and Endermen in particular.
