Domon Kasshu. I originally got him for autograph material since Tomokazu Seki was coming to Animazement 09(sadly, it didn't happen because of Swine Flu scare :cry). But then I cracked him open and experienced the awesomeness that is Figuarts for the first time. Been hooked ever since :lol.

He is easily one of my favorites, sure he's one of the older ones, the age shows, but man that toy is fun

Kamen Rider Ketaros because HLJ had him on sale. I think it was their Christmas sale, I can't remember because it was years ago. But I had a few of the original SH figures before that.

My first was VE Decade. He's not the greatest, but I think he was a pretty good start. Even if his foot is really loose.

I'm holding out for SiC Decade, because of the foot.

If you're gonna hold out on SHF Decade just because of that, you really shouldn't. Brainchild's Decade's foot sounds like a random QC quirk, and you really shouldn't base you purchases off of a problem that's only been reported once.

Unless his foot being loose is common and I just don't know about it. Still, it's entirely likely that SIC Decade could have some problems too.

I'll wait. But mostly it's because I like the SiC better. He's not as skinny.

I started with Shinken Red as it was more easily obtainable. I was impressed and Shinken Gold followed suit. Now I have all the Gokaigers and all the OOO forms....

well mainly how visable they made the hip jpits and how less hidden they made the tail joit it just put me offf but i do want him due to it comes out before charizard but it be for the mew

My first was Kamen Rider W Cyclone/Joker, although he was not technically the first I ordered (That's GokaiRed). Pretty good figure, all things considering, the metallic paint is still attractive to this day.

The first one I bought was Wild Tiger(artbook exclusive). But the first one I ever actually held in my hands was Sky High(Tiger was in SAL hell).

The figure that sent me tumbled down the rabbit hole is: Kamen Rider Ryuki! It was the dragon, I've always wanted a good dragon toy, and the sheer articulation of the Dragedder made it a must have for me, and then I discovered the Figuarts, and suddenly I understand why people blame Vangelus for introducing them to Figuarts, and the rest is history :D

I still pride myself in being one of the few who was a KR fan before Vangelus :lol

It was either Goku or Piccolo that got me into Figuarts

For me it was my brother, a VHS of Couga (Kuuga), and him trying to get me to watch Faiz.

The first one I got was Gokai Red. I originally had no intention of following the line, but a hobby shop gave me a deal I couldn't refuse on second-hand Gokai Blue and Gokai Green.

I take pride in not falling into that group :lol. What really pushed me down the rabbit hole was IXA. I was so excited that design was finally getting good 6 inch toy. Then I saw they were making CycloneJoker and I thought "Why not?" since I was enjoying W, and the rest is history.

I blame Gokaiger. I was well aware of Figuarts for ages but it wasn't until Gokai Red was announced that I caved and preordered one. Then the wait until September 2011 was so hard I had to buy Shinken Red in the meantime to tide me over. The rest is history :lol

Similar story with me too. It's all Gokaigers fault. I discovered it , looked up toys on eBay found the most expensive action figures I've ever purchased at that point. Got them , looked up SHF's and bought Ryuki and black Rx because I watched both American versions. Got the 2 shinkens even though I didn't like samurai. Got OCD about it and had to finish the team and then I liked how ooo looked and bought him....oy vey

i resisted Figuarts for over a year after i started collecting sentai mecha, then i saw DBZ Trunks sitting lonely on the shelf of forbidden planet, and that was it. 20+ figures in a month.

If so, what Forbidden Planet are you looking in that stocks Figuarts??

It was Manchester, they had one and it had been there forever apparently, or at least as long as figuarts trunks has been out (or close to it), the guy behind the counter said it had been a trial to see how it sold, it didnt for a long time, so they doubted they'd ever import it in again.

I dont know how they managed it, but yes, i bought a figuarts in forbidden planet

i know, was so excited when i spotted it as id been thinking about dipping my toe in the figuarts water, got it home, loved it, went back to see what else they had in stock/were getting and i get utterly destroyed by the bad news.

to be fair, i get most of my figuarts express from Japan and it costs half as much
