I think Jordan was just a one shot guy, sure he might show back up later but not in a main role, also, if he would be the gokai silver and he is a fanboy, don't you think that means he would have said more about the rangers previously?
|
Saban had the footage of that one building exploding, and I'm sure they must have got their money's worth by the end of the episode.

Not too bad. Only nitpick is Gosei telling the Rangers to use "these small Zords" long after Noah had the idea to use them. I literally said outloud "you don't say!" when Gosei told them.
The thing with Troy saying Jake's name, I'm chalking up to helmet to helmet communciation, telling Jake to hang back for a minute and then switching to public audio. I've actually had this sort of idea since Power Rangers aired and a Ranger said another Rangers name while in-suit. As for Jordan? I'm not sure. He seems maybe he'll be back later, but I'm not sure what capacity. Before seeing this thread, and reading the comments, I doubted he would be back in any way, but the show itself kind of made it a Jordan focus episode, which seems weird, but that's what it felt like. 4/5 Good ep. Jake reminds me of Link from the old school Zelda cartoons. I'm just waiting for him to say "Well excuuuuuuuuse me, Princess!" |
I found it a little strange to be doing an episode on a person pretending to be a Ranger this early in the show, but I actually quite liked it. I don't think we'll see Jordan in a major capacity again, but I would hope he'd still be around.
And Land Brothers so soon after Sea, huh? With half a regular season to work with, I guess they do have to move pretty fast. So I bet we'll be seeing the Sky Brothers next week. |

I'm treating this show for what it is and giving my reactions to it. |
Was it that soon though? I thought it was a few episodes in between.

I've decided this gets a great rating from me just because they really downplayed the card gimmick and only used it to do new things or summon zords. Come to think of it, I don't think they ever use the morph footage in this one either.
Anyways, everything else was solid enough. Troy's acting is getting better-ish. It's still not good, but he's at least trying. The plot is a classic. It works rather well here. Not much else to say. |
I'm giving it a 4/5 only because we were promised more civilian battles, and we've had all of one 4 episodes in.

next be sky zords be beioing to red , pinki

I really enjoyed seeing Troy develop training for his team. I think that shows some real leadership.
This was a really enjoyable episode. I agree that it could be a light set up for Gokai Silver, but you never know. If so, again it shows them really laying down seeds for future events. |

So you must have loved it a lot! |
Just caught the episode on Hulu and didn't mind it. Like others have mentioned, Troy and Jake were kind of jerks to Jordan. "To be a ranger, you need special training". No, you just need to be chosen by a tiki head and thrown into the fray.
Also, I liked the episode's plot. I can't recall any other series having a civilian claim to be a ranger (aside from Bulk & Skull, I think). I might be wrong about that though. |
another solid episode, really enjoyed it
kudos saban, you made goseiger watchable for me :lol |

Pretty good. Some much needed development for Troy and the red vs. Creepox battle that I enjoyed in Goseiger too.
Write it away how you want though, Troy calling Jake by name in front of a civilian was incredibly facepalm worthy. |
