Honestly? If Sentai takes a few years off and MMPR needs material? I'll be hoping for original stories.

I heard the reason of Sentai rating getting bad is because it aired at the same time with Pokemon, which more popular with kids. |
Pokemon is probably having a huge impact on the ratings at the moment too, there's a lot of excitement for the new games and each show might have new information being announced (which is actually unlikely, but it won't stop people tuning in, hoping to see a new Pokemon).
It also might take kids a few weeks to realise there's even a new show on. Once more merchandise is available and more of them see other kids playing with it, things might pick up. It's a bad start, but I wouldn't count Kyoryuger out just yet. There's also the fact that poor ratings aren't that big a deal for Sentai, if the toys prove popular enough. |

It's troubling, but given that GoBusters sorta cratered, it's gonna take time to stop the bleeding and reverse the trend.
If worst comes to worst and it takes a few years off? Well . . .wouldn't be the first time for Sentai. Having a decade or so rest meant we were pretty pumped for the return of the Metal Heroes, so . . .look at it like that. :) |

Since JAKQ and GoRanger wasn't Super Sentai until Ohranger (Was it Ohranger that first counted those two as Sentai?), Super Sentai had technically been playing continuously since '79. |

I'm not sure when Goranger and JAKQ got grandfathered in, but 1996 sounds about right. |
