Well to use any of the 555 Gears you need to have Orphenoch DNA in you and even then the Kaixa Gear eventually (or not so eventually) kills any non-Orphenoch who uses it. And the Blade powers have a lot of downsides, too - to use Chalice you have to be an Undead, Leangle's Category Ace overrides the user's personality, and Blade's King form can turn you into an Undead if you overuse it. Neither show would be my first picks for what powers I'd want.

I don't know enough about Faiz. I love Wolf Orphnach, but Faiz's mono-eye.. that still bothers me aesthetically.

Blade's power load out is just...Eh.
I like them, but there's just too many burdens to them (Though Garren's is perfectly fine. In that case, it was just the user who had the baggage :lol)

Also, fearless isn't the same as being brave. Bravery is overcoming fear, not being oblivous to it. Fear motivates.

Decade. Why have one power when you can have ALL THE POWERS! All you have to do is befriend/help out/kill someone who already has the powers you want.

Secod choice would be Ixa (2008 version). A sweet looking suit with some really neat weapons.

I'm going to have to go with OOO also. Random combos were horribly under-utilized in the show. I'd love to give a whack at actually thinking about which skill sets to use to overcome a battle. Especially if you include the medals like Imagin, Shocker, and Kangaroo.

The idea of such an easy-going life sounds great too. Aside from the saving people everyday part.

He's Kuuga. His whole thing is that he feels no fear, and no pain.

Also, seeing this thread made me realize that a lot of henshin devices have a lot of downsides.

Kiva: User needs to have Fangire DNA
OOO: If the user isn't careful, they go into a blind rage
Faiz: User needs Orphonoch DNA
Blade: King Form, if overused, can turn the user into an Undead.
Den-O: Not as much of a downside, but you would need to deal with Momotaros, Urataros, Kintaros, and Ryuutaros constantly fighting.

Don't forget Ryuki requiring you to participate in a war, Double needing a partner, and a good chunk of the Showa powers needing you to undergo massive body changing surgeries.

Oh yeah...Ryuki...there can only be one. Does the Lost Driver have any downsides?

Yup. The only thing that he can do to riders that came after him is split Double into CycloneCyclone and JokerJoker.

You know, if he screwed that up in anyway it would not be pretty.

And then there's Kuuga and the fact that Ultimate Kuuga can easily overwhelm the user and turn them into an unstoppable monster of rage with potentially world-destroying power.

Really, it's one of the core concepts of Kamen Rider that the powers are just as much a curse as a blessing.

Unless you're Fourze, and the powers are just there for you to use. :D At least, as far as I can ascertain.

Well, in SHT, he suddenly busted out the powers of Ichigo. And in Movie Wars 2010, he used Side Basshar and G4's missile launcher. So I always figured he wasn't actually limited to the previous nine Heisei Riders but just tended to stick to them because they were the ones that appeared in his show.

On another note, anybody that picks Double should specify whether they want to take Shotaro or Phillip's side. Also, would they choose their partner, or would they get whichever one of the two they didn't replace, i.e. if someone chose to be Phillip's side of Double would they be teamed up with Shotaro?

Then how can he be a hero if he doesn't fear loss or feel pain for others? How can he be compassionate yet care nothing for those around him.

Fear is more than fighting a big bad guy. Pain is more than getting hurt in a fight. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that in the actual show Kuuga does show pain and does fear something.

I thought that was just with the purple cores. OOO seemed plenty in control most of the time as I recall.

That's a loaded question, as either Philip or Shotaro would make awesome partners. If only FangJoker could form swap.

That's not the only downside. Using a pure combo is also extremely taxing on the user.

Not exactly,movie war megamax showed Eiji could go through all his combos in rapid succession and not be affected.

Maybe Eiji just got stronger after using the combos so much during his show? Or he could have retained a few pers from almost becoming a greeed.

And no one knew what Decade was doing in SHT. Not the characters, not the writers, not the actors. That was a literal plot point :lol

By the end of OOO Eiji was doing that.
It's more that it became less taxing for him. Any new user would still be exhausted after one non TaToBa combo just like Eiji was at the start.
