In a twist, I hated Marvelous, but I love watching Daigo.
But I am afraid of Daigo not growing or changing, keeping his eternal optimism.

You like Goseiger, you love Daigo.. Who are you and what have you done with Matrix?!

I like Daigo because he's a subversion from normal Sentai heroes. He's not the quiet stoic bore, nor is he the fireball of energy. He's close to one, but does enough to not seem like a complete idiot like Ban or Jan.

And Gosei had it's merits.

That's exactly why I love everyone in Zyuden. They're close to what you expect, but twisted just enough to be interesting.

However, where as the fireballs had grown throughout the series to be a little smarter, I can't see where Daigo can or will grow as a character, and that's what I'm afraid of.

Well, I happen to like Marvelous (isn't it obvious?) and I like Daigo a lot too. Daigo's a bit on the overly optimistic side, some would even call it naive, but that's what makes him so endearing to the audience. I hope he'll never change.

Bingo. The other thing I liked about Gold's sequence was while it probably will get old over time, it felt like something that would potentially come out of his time period. The samba is just there because samba, it has no real relevance whatsoever.

The person who says ZAN, ZANDAR and ZANDAR THUNDER for Kyoryu Gold's weapon sounds a lot like the person who does the voice for the OOO driver and the medajaribur.

I could be mistaken but it did sound different to the person who does the voice for the Gaburevolver and Gabutyra.

You're spot on regarding Daigo's "middle-ground" characterization. Recent Sentai Reds have usually been boneheads (Jan, Ban, Kai, Sosuke) or "I'm too cool for this world" types (Marvelous, Takeru, Hiromu). Daigo is interesting in that he has that genuine good-natured optimism without becoming a total idiot. While he's a buffoon at times, he has also shown himself to be very resourceful and a good strategist, leading the team well in battle. There's no doubt, he's a good leader and a good-natured person.

If Akira Kushida voices another rollplay toy, I don't know what I'll do.

Hiromu is anything but a smug butthole.

This show just keeps getting better hope to see him trying to fit in to normal modern Japanese society

Do you think it'd be better as a quick gag or if it should be an actual plot?

I think an actual plot, I think he will have normal clothes soon but will adapt over the time to get used to this time.

This was a very awesome and fun episode, I love Amy and Souji's time together and Maru is pretty sweet.
