Even as my favourite Sentai.

-Genta AKA ShinkenGold was rubbish.

-The series had pretty much no direction and would be plot heavy and filler heavy in random chunks that were impossible to define.

-The Super Labcoats were somehow even crappier than the cardboard shoulder pads of most super modes.

But the villains were awesome and well designed, the fights looked great and everyone had really cool powers and personalities. Plus even in the sillier, more fillery episodes there aren't bloody fart powers.

I really don't like Shinkenger suits, there's no way I could get into it.

Juzo is my personal favourite out of the villains!

ShinkenGold especially looked tacky as ass.

I loved his fighting style, but they made no attempt to weave him into the narrative before or after his introduction. He just kinda appears...and is just kinda there. Plus he's unnecessary comic relief who saps all the tension out of the scenes.

I liked Genta. I named my plant after him and Ryuunosuke, too. Those two also had the best suits, in my opinion—the helmets seemed like the most practical as visors. Also, ShinkenGold reminded me of Goldbug/G2 Bumblebee in design.

He was the only one I thought looked okay XD. Well actually when I think about it, I only liked his helmet.

Oh really? I really liked the suit designs for the Shinkenger, I couldn't really tell you why...but honestly there aren't a lot of suits I really dislike in honesty.

I really didn't care for Genta. He just showed up as Takeru's bestest friend who was never mentioned or brought up prior to, his acting was terrible (It was so horribly over the top I couldn't look watch any scenes with him), and he was just kind of...There, after his intro.

Yeah, Genta was kind of like a "What if Gai Ikari had everything that made he likable taken out of him and turned into the Sentai equivalent of Jar Jar Binks!" Thank god Gold was fixed up a bit in Samurai.

It's kind of ironic that Antonio was the best character of Samurai.

Dayu wasn't bad either.

I thought I was alone! Genta was a total disappointment. One of my least favorite 6th rangers.

All this talk of shinkenger reminds me that Ive only seen the ep that takes place while Tsukasa is in Shinkenger world, due to the fact that i was watching Decade while OOO was airing and wanted to see the continuity that shinkenger brought to that crossover.

Let's face it: Nobuo Akagi is the most serious Super Sentai character ever created. He is beyond serious about his knowledge of the Super Sentai universe, right down to small scenes and songs used only once.

The second most serious character is Mitsuki Aoyagi, as she was completely serious about mastering her martial arts skills to the point of actually joining a delusional group to hone them in her imagination. Now that's true dedication.

I cannot argue with this flawless logic.

Carranger is pretty serious. :lol

The scene in episode 1 where Dappu loses his home planet is depressing.

You should watch the begining of Fiveman sometime. It tries so hard to have a dark "our parants are dead" backstory, but the cheese factor is so huge it's hard not to laugh. Fiveman's awesome that way.

Now I'm super curious about it :lol

These are my thoughts exactly, what makes it worse for me is even after they just randomly throw him in there, they still don't really make any attempt to make him part of the story so rather than seeing him bond with the others the only unmorphed scenes he gets are walking through quarries with his cart...for some reason.

Probably one of the best actors too...

I actually met the Samurai Actors at Comic Con a couple years ago, they are some of he most awesome people you could meet, except the Blue Ranger he didn't say much. He was one of the nicest ones.

I did, but I cried more on Carranger.

I'd say almost anything from the 80's or 90's was serious. But out those, I'd say Liveman, Jetman, Dairanger, and Time Ranger are the most serious.

I don't doubt that the actors are wonderful people. Their skill is what leaves something to be desired :lol

Every thing 90 on wards is hesei and what ever season of we tai came out after black RX is heisei era sentai

Everything '89 on wards is Heisei. The series after Black RX is Turboranger.

So yea everything 89 onwards is hesei for sentai we have not got a neo heisei yet for sentai due to they haven't change there start date like w onwards did as in both shows need start in September

Yumeria Moegi is very serious about her cosplaying hobby, as well as her love for yaoi manga.

Hiroyo Hakase was completely serious when she set out to create a Super Sentai-themed cafe. And look at the hard work and dedication of Kozukozu Mita - especially in episode 5, where she presents Yumeria with a birthday cake.
