That's actually an excellent point that I hadn't picked up on. Gozyurex (Zyuranger/MMPR), ShinkenGokaioh (Shinkenger/Samurai) (which is part Gaolion) and Gozyu Drill (Timeranger/Time Force) are the only Saban-related Mecha powers. Magidragon (Magiranger/Mystic Force), Patstriker(Dekaranger/SPD), Gaolion (Gaoranger/Wild Force), Fuuraimaru(Hurricaneger/Ninja Storm), Gozyujin (Abaranger/Dino Thunder) and Machalcon (Go-Onger/RPM) all are related to Disney-era shows. There doesn't seem to be away around it without tributing Disney.

like really just ask yourself this would you spend at least a grand or more on plane ticket/hotel & accommodations for less than 3 days of working and get paid like 200 a day for a small cameo then return back home in a perspective as in have bills and things to pay.

its not worth losing money over that and I bet the actors would love to it do it for their fans and all.if Saban was providing the airfare and hotel then they turn it down thats a different story but I wouldnt call the actors greedy when they have their lives to deal with as well.as for them not asking the disney actors to return thats something else thats wierd

And honestly, I don't get this anyway. Look at Matt, look at Karan. Both say that Saban's pay is peanuts. They're not the first actors to say this either. Long, grueling hours, physical pain, and for what? Hardly any pay? I don't see what's so wrong about asking for more money if the circumstances call for it. Thuy, Austin and Walter all left Power Rangers because they thought they deserved more money. It's not an arrogance issue, it's the fact that most every actor is agreeing with each other that it's not worth it. Combine that with the obviously limited budget and what do you have? Anyway, yeah. While it seems many actors did enjoy their time working on a series (If their overall attitude at cons are any indicator), lots of interviews spell out plainly that they were paid dirt.

There may be licensing issues, but it all comes down to how theyre going to use the gokaiger footage. At the end of the day, theyre dropping 50 episodes into about 20, and introducing the gokai machines would require them to reveal a new mecha every three episodes. Maybe they'll just skip it. Maybe the rangers will have these powers without cameos, meaning that we'll see far fewer past rangers than gokaiger.

I think 2 things are certain, this is not going to be a fraction of the nostalgic rollercoaster of gokaiger. But its not meant to be, nor could it be. We just have to accept that this wont be what, in a perfect world, we wanted it to be. And lastly, if you dont like it, dont watch. Its not like theres not enough toku shows in the world.

Calm down. Saban has the rights to everything Power Rangers, including Disney Seasons. The thing with the Disney cast is so far, hearsay and has nothing to do with not showing them in Megaforce. It's like you heard something, and started flying off the handle and did a worst case scenario for everything completely unrelated. If Disney Rangers don't show, it's not because of Rights/Licensing issues. So far, we have Matt Austin saying "he isn't sure" but we have Jason Smith (Jungle Fury Red Ranger) on set with Ciara.

Lastly, the DVD thing has nothing to do with any of this. Nothing whatsoever. Shout! has the complete rights to everything Power Rangers on DVD except for Samurai, which is Lionsgate I believe. This has nothing to do with this topic whatsoever.

Please, stop panicing and thinking worst case scenarios. If we don't get anymore Shout! DVDs it's due to sales of the previous boxsets, nothing more.

^ This and then some. I have to agree 100% I just buy for the toys now. The merchandise (although not nearly as fun as the imports) is cheap enough that I buy it all and never regret a cent. However, the media is lacking on every aspect. Even the games for ios were all a sour and enthralling let-down. Let's hope that with Gokaiger coming over, we get a mobirate with keys and pray to god (I know it won't happen but...) that we get one that uses or can secretly work with the japanese keys. I think that'd be a great way to entice the fans.

I really hope that the "Power Rider" is just some vehicle and not Saban's attempt to taint Kamen Rider again.

Then again if enough people turn down this offer then Tzackor will be forced into doing a plot that doesn't rehash Gokaiger 100%. It's not a happy thought but at this point I have little hope for anything PR wise.

Have Zangyack be Genre Savvy and directly attack the Morphing Grid, which disrupts the Grid (to prevent Ranger interference) and causes it to explode scattering the Powers across the cosmos and say that some fraction of each team's Powers concentrated in a guest star's character.
Recycle in Space's Galactic Search plot as a framing device.
Make a MacGuffin that will help restore the Morphing Grid be the end goal.
Have the MacGuffin be powered by past Powers.
Have the big 199 Hero Battle be the climax of the season.

I want to know what Saban's side of the story is, because realistically, that is the only way we knew for sure if they are just being cheap or if the "actors" are just being babies.

Something that mattered to you. Judging by the way the actors talk now, most of them are in better places than when they were on Power Rangers. While I'm sure a portion of it might be because of Power Rangers, it's a very small portion.

This isn't like the Man of Steel and his WoW addiction nearly costing him the lead role as Supes, they're not waiting around all day for a call. They're doing stuff that matters, to them.

It is. The whole thing satirizes the accidentally racist casting of Thuy Trang and Walter Jones as the Yellow and Black Rangers and how, in universe, an ancient space wizard that sees all should know better, but apparently doesn't. In fact he's quite awful. But hey, Zordon sends teenagers on dangerous quests to distant places and yet can teleport people on a whim, so maybe Zordon was just an asshole. :lol

And if Disney's run actually does all takes place in that alternate dimension, Tommy raises a lot of questions...
