Just reading it laid out though, how the hell is the tripple change thing even gonna work? They have to transform three times before the fight even starts?

I assume by the end of Super Megaforce they will simply be turning straight to their "Super Mode" to save time to utilize that sweet, juicy Gokaiger footage.

They never even explained where the last headder came from. Just POOF there it is.

Nothing in Megaforce is explained. The reasons for why they were picked to be Rangers is paper thin, we've had zero character focus so we know nothing about anyone, their dynamics or relationships, the aliens just appeared, Gosei just appeared and so on and so on. It's just a big, flashy, artificial and hollow piece of nothingness.

That's probably the best description of Megaforce I've seen. It's just so hard to put into words properly, but Megaforce is halfway through already and it feels like I've seen 3 episodes worth of actual content and that's being generous!

Megaforce being nothingness is incredibly accurate and what makes me so sad that its going to be the Anniversary series.

It's frustrating as well because everything is THERE they just don't do anything with it.

Troy is the new kid in town, immediately thrust into the leadership role of a Ranger team who are already established friends and is also dealing with prophetic nightmares of a huge Ranger war. Does any of this ever come up or provide any conflict? NOPE.

Jake is smitten with a member of the team who barely even sees him, does he ever stop and think about this, does this ever get him down or provide any conflict? NOPE.

Noah is unsure if he is fit to be a hero, to be fair this has been dealt with pretty well but then they match him up with a Gosei Ranger who is a complete and utter badass so it's hard to really take his story line seriously where in one scene he battles with insecurities and the next scene he is basically stronger than his entire team.

Emma is a lover of nature, when two creatures are born from our polluting of the world, does it seem to have any impact on her at all? NOPE

Really the only person I have no complaints for are Gia as she is largely pretty well handled.

I know you're not a fan of Sentai (the genre, not the staff member, though who is a fan of the latter anyway?) but in Goseiger, the "Snake Axe" couldn't be hefted by Gosei Blue. Hyde (Gosei Blue) is more of the cool, calculating one, Agri (Gosei Black) is the badass bruiser, so to speak.

I didn't believe it either. I hadn't seen Goseiger before Megaforce and when I saw the scene with Noah not being able to lift the axe and drop it too, I thought it was new footage. The aforementioned is what I was told.

... Except there has been character devolopment.

Entire episodes where:

Noah learned what it means to be an hero, and believe in himself.
Emma and Gia remembered how close their bond is and both became stronger.

I'm sure there's an example for Jake to, I'm just not remembering. Troy.. I'm pretty sure he'd need a soul before he gets character devolopment. And they have gotten into their relationships. Like Gia and Emma, Noah and Jake, Jake and Gia. So we've had plenty of character focus.

Now, Megaforce isn't perfect. They don't go into the cave enough for my liking, Robo Knight's Voice and Robocop Wannabe Joint Effects. But there is so much to like. Vrax's Voice Actor (Who I think is one of the Joys of Megaforce, and should he heralded), Ciara Hanna, Noah (Who I'm honestly enjoying watching).

And just remember this: Even with all it's faults, even with the bad news coming out of Super Megaforce on the daily... It's better than Samurai.
