To be fair, arguably, SPD was better than Dekaranger. Jack was cooler than Ban and Bridge was better than Sen.

I'd kinda like the series to be focused around the mecha because out of the few episodes I could stomach, that was the only stuff I enjoyed. They could be like some modern organisation that built giant machines to defend the earth and it follows two star pilots and one ace rookie, as they must battle against a terrorist organisation that exists to steal their tech from them.

That'd be an interesting route to go with.
Would the buddyroids still be integrated in due to the increased focus on the mechs?

They could be prototypes where they started, before they had dreams of full scale battle robots.

Oh? Huh. That'd be kind of cool.

And waaaaay too creative for Saban.

There could also be a whole subplot about militarisation, that they (the creators of the tech) originally just wanted to help mankind and the government twisted the sentiment, turning the Go-Bust Unit into a full on weapon rather than just a defender.

I want this to take place in the RPM universe, as a sequel season.
The powers from Go-Busters are retained along with the "you got powers from the accident" comcept, and it works because the Rangers are three teens from that school Ziggy and K started. The teens were mischievous and got ahold of Scott's "Cursed Morpher" and released Venjix again.
However, since RPM, the world has rebuilt to prevent Venjix or something similar from ever happening again. Venjix cannot destroy the world again.
But now he doesn't want to. The Morphing Grid, while impossible for him to corrupt because it's too "Absolute Good," did show him King Mondo and his rise to power. This causes Venjix to want to escape to the main dimension and join the Machine Empire.

The rest of the season is him trying to escape and eventually succeeding, because the Machine Empire will be continually hinted at along with the fact RPM-World knows about the history of the Main-World's Rangers. And while the finale destroys Venjix again, he pulls the same thing he did last time he was "destroyed."

Guess what this would all explain...

Remember that throwaway line zordon said about too much pink energy being dangerous? so what would the legend war be? a whole lot of color energy of every color...i could see the morphing grid overloading. would make a great starting point for gobusters...

Quantum and Time Force Red powers can exist at the same time, and don't covet the team-ups.
I think what Zordon was referring to was too much Mighty Morphin' Pink energy is dangerous. After all, the same thing happened with the White Dino Clone and Trent.

The only occasions there has been a power struggle was when powers were replicated. "Too much Pink energy" was referring that there couldn't be 2 of the same Pink ranger, and Trent and the DT White Ranger clone were still basing their strengths of the same Dino gem.

It's not too much power of one color, but one power being used by multiple users at the same time.

Or else Forever Red probably would've blown up the moon during that Red Energy overload.

The overloading morphing grid idea still sounds pretty cool.

I love Blue's since he is the caring older brother, with this monster inside of him that he doesn't want to expose everyone to. It's clichéd but it at least can be taken seriously. But then the other two... one sees a chicken or a rooster and freezes..? What?? And another needs to keep eating sweets...huh?..??

I can kinda get Yoko's, since its about her burning energy so fast that she needs to constantly intake sugar. Hiromu's needed more expansion to be anything more than silly though.
