No one is even exaggerating here either, it seems that Saban plans to keep inviting actors up to the day the shooting starts - and perhaps afterwards - and then be surprised when people can't just step out of their lives at literally a moments notice.
Maybe Saban has got so wrapped up in Power Rangers he's forgotten that not everything in life is a jump cut away. |
Or maybe Saban is forgetting that these aren't inexperienced newbies, but people who have dealt with his BS before...

Civil and polite answers do not include veiled barbs or outright gripes about a former employer. If someone makes you an offer you don't like, where I'm from you either say "no thank you" or you come back with an offer of your own. I don't know what planet it's acceptable to publicly declare "they did a shitty job of preparing their offer, so it's their fault that I turned it down." That just seems like pushing the blame for one's own decision on to someone else, rather than just owning it themselves. As I said, there's a number of good options, so it's saddening to see so many choose to pass the buck. Simply repeating a mantra of "it's all Saban's fault" helps nobody. It does zero good. If somebody screws up at your job, do you simply say "it was there fault" and refuse to help solve the problem? I sure hope not. Whether it's your boss, a subordinate, or even somebody outside your company, in the real world you're expected to pitch in to fix it. I don't know what kind of world you live in where it's preferable to sit and pout instead. You keep calling me a kid, but one of these days I hope you'll learn that being a responsible adult means often being responsible for more than just yourself. Okay, so Saban screwed up. We acknowledge that, and the ball is in the actors' court. And they don't have to lift a finger if they don't want to. But they know full well that the Power Rangers fandom is watching. And I'm not trying to guilt trip them into accepting a bad offer, but as a fan, I'm kinda disappointed to see some of them make that choice not to do anything. If even one person was watching me, I'd at least like to show some effort for them. |

Since you have all the answers, please, go be the mediator and use the precious social media to tell everyone what they should with their lives and the best course of action since, you know, you have it figured out. You go be responsible for having the actors clean up Saban's mess. Go on, be responsible. I hope you get your way. EDIT: I want to add that you do realize that the sentence I bolded is widely the reason the actors aren't going. They're too busy taking care of other people, their families, their lives. The same damn thing I've said since the beginning. They're not worried about running off to play superhero one last time. You've negated yourself. Again. And come full circle. Again. Post editted for abusive language. |

While you've continually tried to make this whole debate about me, you're awfully sensitive yourself. After insulting me in just about every post and then flying into a rage when I point out how much differently the real world works from your version of it, you don't exactly look like the perfectly reasonable one here. It's not like you know the personal schedules and family obligations of every former Power Ranger, so I don't know why you continue to insist that participating or even entertaining the idea of dealing with Saban would amount to an instant abandonment of everyone else in their lives, but that's not any more accurate now than it was the first time you pulled that one. |
Hey guys.
I haven't had to give out a single infraction in over a year. I refuse to let it happen today of all days. Agree to disagree and move on. No need to take this onto a total personal level and levy insults back and forth. |

And fly into a rage? I was calm until your last post. That's when I "flew into a rage." Also, you seem to be missing that no one else agrees with anything you're saying in the thread but you only respond to me. One guy told you that your outlook about the average Joe was wrong. Quote:
I have been saying the same thing the actors have been saying. Nothing more. I'm not pretending to know anything. I already gave you the reasons why they won't come back and they're by and large at least six different reasons. Money, expenses, running their own lives, taking care of their families, removed offers/not invited or refuse to go back at all. Damn. I'm tired of this. You already cancelled everything you said by your last little comment about responsibility for others. End of. |

Move on. You've lost. You've negated yourself, you've questioned yourself, you've been wrong on multiple levels, it's insane. No one lives in the world you live in. No one. |

Once again since you totally ignored it the first time, the majority opinion is not always the correct one. Last I checked, I was still allowed to voice and defend my own opinion, as blasphemous as you may consider it. So you may as well get used to it and cue up the chorus again. |
For the sake of everyone, I think this thread has run it's course. Continue it privately if you'd like.
