Did they ever follow-up on that "not-100% Sam" thing in Season 2-3?

Yes, in the "not" kind of way. =P

Okay.

So, I began coming up with a Supernatural-themed parody of The Lorax. I could only get one line.

"I am Castiel, and I watch the bees."

It's been three seasons so excuse my ignorance but is 'The End' still happening?

That was set at the end of 2014, right? And it seems most of Supernatural's timeskips have been ignored as season 8 has confirmed it's 2013.

I'm just trying to remember how The End...ended and how any of it will fit considering all the story that has happened since then that clearly didn't happen in The End's timeline.

Well, while Lucifer did possess Sam, Sam ended up jumping into the cage along with Michael/Adam. I would assume that since Adam's resurrection was not a part of the timeline for "The End," "The End" will not happen.

Was Lucifer behind the Croatoan virus as well in The End? Or is that still coming? Because from what I remember that was what caused most of the damage.

Ah okay, so it looks like The End has been averted in a big way.

Does anyone else think the new episode feels like one of the older ones? Before the show became a tumblr sensation? Because this is one of the best episodes they've produced yet. Don't get me wrong, I've loved the seasons after the fifth, but they have been pandering to that particular part of the fandom for a while now. If they return to the older quality, I won't mind, but I hope they stay in this direction.

Probably because their back to hunting things we're familiar with. (Ghosts)

The last two seasons gave us a bunch "new" characters and things to familiarize ourselves with.

Season 7 was mainly focused on The Leviathans and how to stop them. Season 8 gave us "rouge" Reapers, a Golem, their other Grandfather, and Men Of Letters (Lair/home)

Even when they gave us familiar characters, they shined them in a new light for us.

We got to see how Hell Hounds look. :D

So taking a break from dealing with fallen angels and seeing them break-out the salt and grabbing an iron poker, is a sigh of familiarly. :)

I tend to agree there. I've still watched the show and there were some very memorable episodes in recent seasons but season 5 was a fitting ending (as was the original intention). I don't like that they retconned established elements from the early seasons. I think where they went wrong with season 6 and on was thinking that everything needed to get bigger and bigger. They should have gone back to normal hunting instead of inventing silly new big-bads. This season does feel different in some ways.

10 seasons. Wow! 2005 seems like only yesterday. :D

Nope. It just looked that way. It was not the program. It was a ghoooooooost.

… Huh.

It was, in all honesty, a pretty weak episode overall.

Eh. I thought it was pretty good.

It had its moments but it just didn't click with me. Then again, I tend to like the episodes some don't so I don't imagine my taste runs parallel to a lot of folks. :lol

I just really like the vengeful spirit episodes.
