Yeah, with the demand so high, it's hard for wholesalers to properly allocate them. CSToys has a ustream where they announce their weekly shipments. They're also uploaded to youtube. So everyone knows what they have in stock before they're activated. Usually there will be 2 activations. One on Sunday and one on Monday. "Activation" just means when stock becomes active for sale on the website.

Got my shadow moon from muteki , shipped from New York. Got to me within 4 days like promised. The site said they dont ship from one specific place so who knows how that works with other figures. My experience was good though. PayPal was an option , so that made me feel better about the purchase in the first place.

Hey Meteor, have you been to Anime Pavilion's store in Fairfax, VA? I was wondering if it's worth the trip. You live slightly closer to it than I do, so I thought there might be a chance you have. They have some SHF on their site(nothing rare IIRC) but I get the impression they don't put everything on their site, they go to a lot of cons.

Buahaha! I finally got a DX Beat Chaser/ Gouram! Just scored one on Mandarake for 3500 yen. I'm sure that at this point we'll never get a Figuarts release of this bike so I'll take this one :D

This is a pretty stupid question, but with Mandarake are the items all used or new? I keep hearing "I got X cheap on Mandarake" and kind of want to get in on that since I'm ballin' on a budget...

They're used in that they're all pre-owned, but most of the SHFs I've purchased haven't even been opened, and those few that have been actually used, are still in excellent condition.

How much do they usually charge for EMS shipping for 1 Figuart in the regular thin box?

Thats not really how it works. They dont ship them in those flat brown shippers boxes if thats what you're talking about. They use their own boxes of varying size depending on how big the item is. For one Figuart the box is probably gonna be 6X6X8 roughly. And since the shipping is based on weight its rough to determine. You can usually estimate about 1500 yen shipping for one figuart.

When I said thin box I meant just a regular Figuart - for weight purposes, since Ryuki is obviously heavier then say Decade. I'm eyeing that 1500 Yen Dekared... would that translate to around 40 dollars shipped?

That sounds about right. $45 just to be safe.

I never sold anything to BBTS before, they recieved my item today and offered me the store cred they promised in 1-4 buisness days? But I have no idea where it shows up. Can someone help who's sold something to them before?

It shows up on your my account page. Trust me, I've sold them tons of collections before, and they always take more than 4 days to pay me. Whether that's in store cred or cash. They got a new Vintage Department worker (Sara) earlier this year who seems to be a source of problems. Dennis was the guy I always dealt with. If Im being completely honest Sara has NO clue how to do her job. And the entire process has gotten ridiculous since she started handling buys.

She has flat out told other users on this board that BBTS is on a buying freeze or that the items someone wants to sell "aren't worth our time". And then they turn around and buy at least one collection a month from me. Expect some kind of delay getting your payment Sentai.

Especailly since it's been Sara I've been dealing with.. Least I know now where to look, whenever the heck it shows up.

So I just had my first bad experience with Mandarake ever. After over 100 orders with them I just got shafted. I ordered a DX Murphy K9 D-Bazooka from Dekaranger last week as a Christmas present to myself. It arrived today just in time for the holiday. It was listed as opened but unused on the item page. Which in Mandarake terms generally means dead mint.

However what they failed to mention on the item page is that the whiteish gray plastic has faded terribly, some of the chrome is chipped and there's some kind of brown gunk and stains on the toy in various places.

If something is faded/broken/used/anything Mandarake always tells you up front in their listing. They go the extra mile to make sure you know what you're buying. In this instance they made no mention of any of these problems. I've never had a problem with them before, and I'm a very good customer, I'm not sure that they do returns or refunds but I've requested one to see what happens. Who knows.

So I'm on the fence about ordering from Mandarake. Found some cheap Sentai Figuarts which are around 1000-1500 yen all from the same store but a bit hesitant to confirm an order because I don't know how much shipping will be. Any experienced buyers able to give a possible estimate for shipping costs of about 4 S.H.Figuarts figures? I know they have the estimate based on weight but since I don't buy them often I can't really say. Am I wrong to think it should be around 2000+ yen?

Anything else, add 600-1000 yen. Also bear in mind if you're buying figuarts with preorder bonuses in separate boxes those will add to the costs.

It's really hard to say for sure. I'm halfway convinced AmiAmi and Mandarake stick their thumb on the scale when they weigh these items for shipping. HLJ always ships far cheaper than everyone else, and are the only one to offer FedEx(which prices based on volume not weight and is therefore harder to fudge). It's too bad their initial prices always work out higher.

I don't know about Mandarake but AmiAmi stuff the hell outta their box with papers and their boxes are also larger than what I think is necessary to accommodate the paper stuffings, so that adds almost a pound to the weight if not more.

So guys, is Mandarake the best way to get DX toys after their run (such as the early Go-busters mecha)? I'm tired of fighting others to be the early bird for AmiAmi, HLJ and other stores, and eBay is just too expensive.

Damn it! I ordered Red buster during the HLJ sale. Turns out they still have my shipping address from over 3 years ago :mad: And they already shipped my package. All their offices are closed until the 7th for New Years as well. So now I'm screwed aren't I?

If you chose SAL, HLJ doesn't use RSAL so you can just say(truthfully) you never received the package and get your money back, or a new one. It'll take a while though(I think you have to wait two months before they'll count a SAL package as overdue). And its possible they'll receive it back themselves before then.

Not an ideal outcome at all but it's better than nothing.

if you used EMS it's probably not shipped(I don't think EMS starts up again until the 6th or 7th). If it's FedEx they can contact them and reroute it perhaps.

There is someone at HLJ's offices, they're processing orders. Just very very slowly. Worth a try unless they told you its shipped.

They told me about 2 hours ago that it shipped. And I did go SAL. I've tried contacting every e-mail they have and they all say their closed til the 7th. I fail to see how they can process and shipping orders if all of their offices are closed.
