Yes she was.

As a MASSIVE Magiranger fan, I was really worried when I watched Mystic Force that I wouldn't enjoy it because of personal bias (its not as good, but that's completely irrelevant to my argument). But credit where credit is due, Mystic Force did a really good job of pulling apart the core themes of the Sentai, using its themes/footage/mecha while having an almost completely original setting and story and characters completely different from their Sentai counterparts (in the case of Chip and Vida, drastically so).

However Madison is the odd one out, she's a complete non-character. Her only two memorable moments where getting turned to stone and (as you reminded me the last round she was in) freeing Daggeron. While every other character got to be fresh and original, she was lumped with Urara's scene from Magiranger with all the development that came from it taken away (If you haven't seen it, her and Magishine get married at the end of the show). Even if I hadn't seen Magiranger and know the relevance behind it it's still something that added very little to her as a character and only served to move the plot forward.

It was like the writers didn't give a crap about Madison at all, and it really showed.

Justin isn't as bad as people say he is. Apart from the Turbo movie where he's worse :p

I can't even justify voting for Madison in this round , no matter how hot I think she is. I love me some Flynn and he would take this fight.

I voted maddison because she's cute and she could beat Flynn maybe. Alright it was a sympathy vote because she's cute and it's not like my votes going to change anything. I just wanted to save some of her dignity.

Think of a team full of nothing but Carters.Or a team full of nothing but Tommys.(Which is funny cause it is possible).Sure,it'd be amazing to start with but how long would it last.A perfect team needs a perfect balance.It just wouldn't work.

Oh and don't tell me about how it wouldn't be boring or whatever.This is about forming the perfect team through fights and personality.Half the tournament has been decided by personality.The other half by popularity.

I honestly am starting to see how the rest of the tournament will turn out.Billy is gonna make it to the finals.He is just the best all around Blue.When it comes to Grack,Tommy or Ziggy.And thats based on the whole "I remember him/he has a good personality" trait going around.Pink is still in the air.

(Oh and I don't mind Justin either,my only problem is I don't think he "deserved" to be a ranger.He only was made one because he spied on them and found out about their secret)

"Badass" works in different ways.
A team full of Carters is different than a team full of just overall "Cool" characters. Bruce Lee and Batman are both badass, but they're not the same person. They won't make the same choices, they don't fight the same way, they don't do the same things.

The problem is that your declaration of a team of badasses relies solely on everyone acting in the same manner.

Billy rides on nostalgia, not ability, skill, or intelligence, but nostalgia. Nothing more. For other categories, there are strong characters, popular characters, underdogs, etc, that could go either way.
It's rather reoccurring for someone to declare "I know how things will turn out" and then the winner of the round proves to be quite the opposite in these threads.

Never saw RPM, so I'll go with Madison.

Better actor than 4/5 of the previous cast, underwent this thing called character development, and while he could get mary sueish at times, he never reached Billy "I built a flying car using an old junker and my hubbleflux neutron hyper-capacitor at home" Cranston levels.

If it came across as "declaring",my bad.I just think thats how it'll turn out based on how the voting is going so far.As for Billy,it's a personal opinion.He grew in the series,lasted quite a while(probably longer if not for backstage problems),and for him to have lasted as long as he has without a special mode or weapon just proves he's a good fighter.

I just have a problem with how it went from a tournament to find the ultimate team,to a contest to see who people like the most.Some votes are based on memory,some on popularity.Others on personality and strengths.I think the latter is what we need to use to vote on.That's why we have the wiki links one the first pages,to see how they'd match up power wise.

But you can't look at things from a pure power perspective, though.

Characters don't operate like robots. They fight in different ways, and that leads to them using their abilities in different manners.

Connor has super speed, for example.
From a strict power standpoint, that's a huge bonus.
From a character standpoint, it doesn't weigh in at all, as he essentially never used them, outside of two or three fights, all unmorphed.

Same can be said about personality,which is why Flynn is winning right now.

He showed quick thinking and ingenuity by using the post-morph explosion as an attack.
I know that's only one example, but it shows him taking a more limited power set and making use of what he has.

I really can't think of what Madison ever did in a fight beyond fire lasers.

Which I think was Dino Thunder's greatest mistake.

Has anyone mentioned the fact that Flynn was a policeman, firefighter, and general of a tribe of native New Zealandamericans, in addition to being one of the few Power Rangers to say the word "die"?
