I can't wait to get her, she looks great. Although to be honest, the pink seems a bit dark. I would've thought the same pink as Gokai Pink or Deka Pink would've worked better, but maybe I'm remembering Ptera Ranger wrong. |
Could always be the image editing process.
|
Looking very nice with those additional photos!
And totally called it being Tamashii Web. |
Oh, the bow looks nice. Good to know she's including an arrow for it, too.
Just might pick one up. |
The pink looks off, almost like it's a "hot pink".
|
I assumed that they would go the 2 pack route like the Boukengers for the other 4 Zyurangers. Not that it really matters either way. I am just curious about how or when we get the other 3. Fingers crossed for Zack next!

Cool, can't wait for the Bluefin release!
And on the whole Tigerranger/Yellow Ranger debate, I think it'd be nice if they made two versions, though that would be too idealistic (not to mention expensive). At the very best, they'd make Tigerranger a bit more skinny than the other male rangers. |
I get up, check the site, and :lol at PteraRanger being announced and everyone started debating on TigerRanger/MMPR Yellow being a guy or girl :lol Just to add my two cents in: It should be a male-mold, if the want to include an optional skirt piece, then thats their choice.
But, Until then, I will be glad we are gettin PteraRanger/MMPR Pink released, I cant wait to pose her and Tommy :lol |

Besides, these are SENTAI Figuarts, first and foremost, NOT Power Rangers. If you want a female yellow ranger, go buy those steroid MMPR figures Bandai released in 2010. |

Need proof? Just ask a Bluefin employee. I still don't think they'll make a second Yellow though. Waste of time/resources. Yellow Male body is screen accurate anyway (for the first season and the first half of season 2 at least.) |

Mega Man. Dragon Ball Z. Daft Punk. MMPR/Zyuranger. NONE of those things would have happened or have continued if it wasn't for the demand overseas. Mega Man D-Arts were a huge flop, as were the first DBZ Figuarts. We matter more than you think. There's no need to underestimate it. This is starting to get off-topic however, so perhaps we should just swing back to the matter at hand, yes? |

They're still Figuarts, they're still Zyuranger figures released by Japan, they still come with Sentai-exclusive accessories, they still are packaged as Zyuranger in the country where they are being made, they are still representing characters that were originally made for Zyuranger. They're still Sentai, aren't they? I feel like you're replying to something that wasn't actually in Dr Kain's post (such as an implication that import wasn't a factor). |

EDIT: I know it seems like I'm talking out of my ass on this whole ordeal, but as lame as it sounds it's amazing what you learn when you are in the right place at the right time. |

Also, I would not want a skirt/female buck for the Yellow Mighty Morphin' Ranger, because that is not how she looked in the show. I am buying that figure to represent Trini Kwan, not Tigerranger, but I still want it to be show-accurate! |
People are all like "these are Sentai Figuarts", but I'm pretty sure the US releases are getting PR packaging.

I must be in the extreme minority but I never liked Kimberly.

The Gosei Red thing doesn't apply, since that's the current show. They probably don't think there's an adult demand for SHF of Goseiger in the US because of the lack of the nostalgia factor. I mean, they're wrong, but from their perspective it makes far more sense to do Zyuranger figuarts because the MMPR fans in the US are all adults hungry for nostalgia merchandise, whereas the vast majority of Megaforce fans are still children and not the market for SHF.

Don't be mistaken, there is a big fan base for Zyuranger in Japan. Pandering to this market is the next step. A sentai Figuart will always be a sentai figuart first and foremost because that's the market it's meant for at initial release. For BOJ and Tamashii Power Rangers is definitely secondary. |

Plus when I was a kid I really couldn't understand most of what Kat said. Quote:
Still, the lines between Power Rangers and Super Sentai for me are somewhat blurred to be completely honest. It's all the same shit with different names, and admittedly most of my arguing about Power Rangers/Sentai is just semantics and nitpicking to my preferences... |

The Power Rangers Anniversary has definitely helped with the release of these, I don't think we'd be seeing them so soon without the massive US fanbase.. But again, Zyuranger was also a huge show in Japan, it's been promoted recently in Akibaranger, they're still being released first there, Tiger Ranger will be male and the accessories are obviously more Zyuranger than PR. Nothing about this makes me think they've been at all designed as PR figures or for the PR fans. It just so happens that they also have a big fanbase over here that they can take advantage of. When we see the Titanium Ranger or Lord Zedd made, I'll take back what I've said. Until then, let's just enjoy the releases, no matter what name you want to call them. |
So does anyone think the individual weapons will combine?

I could see them having the ability to combine. When Tyranno comes out we'll know. It's also a good possibility that they could include 2 versions of each weapon for each ranger. One for standard individual combat, and an altered "combined" weapon. Probably a little smaller with added tabs to build the Howling Cannon. Bandai has taken to releasing 2 versions of weapons quite a bit recently. Like Gosei Knight's Leon Laser or Bouken Red's Javelin.

Sooo going through Bluefin's twitter feed: I suspect that they'll be revealing Tiger Ranger next, which means he'll probably be going up with July's batch of pre orders.
That just leaves Black and Blue. Now, unless they do the two pack route…I'm going to suspect that they'll either be going up side by side in August, or separated and put up in September. Either way…it's very feasible we could be seeing the whole team by late December, early next year. |
I am very much looking forward to this. Though that begs the question, if we end up with all five, will the weapons combine?

God I hope we get Zeo, which is probably not very fucking likely unless the USA sales are mindblowing. Hahahahah, Ohranger. |

I just hope when Tyranno is released we know for sure :lol |

And the rest of Jetman And the rest of Dairanger AND the rest of Hurricanger:lol If Id' have to guess…Hurricanger or Jetman will be the ones to get releases after Zyuranger is done. Y'know, due to Akibaranger and all. |
Bluefin just posted Pink on their facebook page. I'm somewhat conflicted. I will have to look at the pricing of the US one vs the exclusive. While there are no differences in accessories, I have ordered the JP versions of Red and Green. So if I get any of the US ones, I will have inconsistent packaging. I don't know how much that matters to me right now though.
