Honestly,I have nothing against Halo,but when it's done so many times that you can easily tell what the storyline is going to be,then yeah,it's time to move on.

Props to Sony for remembering how to make a video game console. Even if they still don't include backwards-compatibility, which makes no sense to me.

PLus, the consumer said they don't care about BC. When I worked at Best Buy, the general response was, "Why would I want to play my old games when I have the new ones?" or "THis is my first game system, so I don't care about playing the old games."

Actually…all of Microsoft's games during the press conference was pretty much the exact same. Sony had WAY more variety.

They're supposed to be compatible, so I don't see characters being exclusive. At least not a huge one like Mega Man.

I was all ready to say "meh" to Megaman in Smash Bros. but he looks pretty cool after watching the introduction video.

Will definitely be buying a Wii U soon so I can buy both versions of the game.

Kind of annoyed that no worthwhile third party 3DS games were announced. I'm not overly enthralled by what's out now, so the promise of almost nothing novel is kind of leaving me bummed. I mean, you can't go wrong with more Mario or Smash Bros, but it's still rather lame that there's nothing else other than Sonic and SMT IV.

Man, there are going to be some salty Marvel vs. Capcom fans. :lol

I agree. While having backwards compatibility is nice...the way I see it is just: Don't sell your old console, and save up a bit more for the new one.

How are you so sure? I don't think it would've been showed off at Sony's press conference if it were also on the Xbox, and keep in mind, 1 and 2 were exclusive to Sony consoles, so why change things up?

Ok, but Sony is not requiring it. It is up to the developers on whether or not they want to do it. Yes, Sony themselves won't do it. However, if a game is going to be on the Xbox One, and is also going to be on the PS4...why would they change it for the PS4? Unless the PS4 version is being produced first...but wouldn't they be made simultaneously? I don't know I guess we'll know when the PS4 comes out.

Wow, I hate Geoff "dbag" Keighley, but he is bringing Reggie to task about the lack of 3rd party games and all Reggie has said (6 time thus far) is, "Only on the Wii U can people play Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pikman."

With that said, the Nintendo nostalgia in me needs a Wii U and that DKC game!!! I sense a Wii U in my 2014 future.

BTW, NO game publisher will have the balls to actually do DRM restrictions after how badly MS just took the hit. The only way I can see it is if it is an MMO game, but that is it.

Maybe I'm just not well versed or whatever when it comes to gaming, but considering when I bought my PS3 on Black Friday of 2012 I stopped using my PS2, and the PS4 has no backwards compatibility along with being the console to replace the PS3 and subsequently have the PSN stop supporting the PS3, it kind of makes me feel depressed and unsure about what to do with the revelation of the PS4.
