I'm wondering how they will explain the keys, i find it hard to buy that Gosei has manmade ranger team keys like Lightspeed or SPD.

Really liking the promotional poster, just wish all the rangers are holding the weapons instead of just Red, Blue, and Silver.

Yup, i read it with my eyes, im wondering in the 9 episodes how this depth is presenting itself? He does his little training exercises, has premonition dreams and.... what? So far ive seen zero depth, development or interesting character traits other than the fact he's a loner, thrown into leadership, which is the most overused trope in adventure shows i feel.

We obviously disagree on this, so im not going to argue the point at length with you.

I also said, in the same post, that the pacing of the series doesn't give much time to explore the character either but that doesn't mean it isn't all there.

A character who is new in town and suddenly he's a Power Ranger fighting aliens, leading a team who are already established friends. He wasn't even able to find his footing before that, with the premonitions and we know something happened in his past, which may or may not, be the reason he is such a great fighter now.

This could create lots of interesting stories, dynamics and tension but the show is just moving too quickly to explore this in any meaningful way.

Three words: Universal Morphing Grid. While Lightspeed, SPD, RPM, etc were designed by man, the powers still come from and are stored on the Morphing Grid. The Ranger Keys are just a new connection to previously created links to the grid.

Magic and time travel? Two things which have been commonplace in Power Rangers since the beginning.

From the data available, the grid is probably some kind of multiverse singularity to explain RPM. Multiverse singularity means it's a constant in every universe, meaning if it changes in one universe, it changes in all universes within the multiverse.

SPD is much easier. SPD was around as early as 2001. The link has already been made. The 7 main SPD rangers even time traveled to Dino Thunder's present and used that link. This probably left an imprint of those SPD powers in the past. Same for Time Force.

I'd have to look at Jungle Fury again and I will if I can ever get through Ninja Storm (it's so boring I keep falling asleep). Eitherway, I think it'd be the same result. hacking in would still leave an imprint.

I still don't understand the point of separating this series into two years, especially since all of the anniversary stuff happen AFTER the anniversary.

So what? Decade was before the anniversary (2009-2000=9, not 10) and Gokaiger was after the anniversary (2011-1975=36, not 35). Super Hero Taihen even commented on it. It happens all the time.

This is one of the reasons I actually liked the Disney seasons. The show runners kept the grid in mind and used it when needed.

I thought the Disney seasons were better in general.

Gokaiger wasn't based on years. It was based on seasons. There was that year that Spider-Man took all the credit. Gokaiger is officially the 35th Super Sentai series, which happens to take place during the 36th year.
