I wish I could get more excited about this figure, but I think the chest looks like the worst Figuarts has done yet. I know the design doesn't make it easy to articulate this team, but what's the whole left shoulder of brown/black? It looks terrible, and it looks like his arm should be placed higher than it is. :thumbdown

It's this sort of attitude that irritates me about the whole thing. We've known for years that Figuarts line is completely sporadic and we get curveballs thrown to us all the time. Expecting a figure to be completed before a series is over is generally a swing and a miss.


But... but... Beet and Stag just aired not long ago. Your previous comment implies you expect the figures to be out while the show is airing, yet that didn't happen with Beet and Stag. Which one is it?

You have to remember that it's not up to you what is and isn't important. Sure, the other team members could be released, but so could Gosei as well which is equally important for other people.

It's this sense of entitlement that I just don't understand. We should be thankful for what we receive, and how in such short time what we have received. It wasn't long ago that Figuarts were pretty much just Rider based, and in the grand scheme of things, there's been some figures in that line that have waited far longer than some of the teams you mentioned.

I have not watched this series, but he has a great look. Very striking with the gold.

Regarding mixing up which Rangers get released when, I don't mind them releasing folks from different series as it gives both a break between purchases as well as more anticipation for the release. For example, I am eagerly anticipating the balance of the Boukengers, but I don't need to drop $120 or so on them right now. I don't mind getting them one or two at a time.

But that's just me.

I have literally no understanding of what you're complaining about. That shoulder looks pretty spot on to me. He has a black sash area just under that shoulder pad. On the figure that area can collapse inward towards the chest to give it a better range of movement. And it's definitely black, not brown.

And what else could you have expected them to do with the torso articulation? People would have complained if the joint only followed the edge of the chest plate so they made it even wit that red flap on the bottom left. This is the best alternative to preserve as much of the spandex look as possible while giving him appropriate and even articulation.
This guy knows what's going on. I'm just happy to keep getting Figuarts. I realize that while a show is currently running that the figures won't come out until at least the mid point or near the end. Hell Even a year later like Gavan after his crossover movie with Gokaiger. I just want my Beet & Stag that's all. As long as they happen I don't care what order they come in, or any other figuarts for that matter.

The way I see it, they're just trying to play this massive game of catch-up while trying to remain profitable and still provide great figures at the end of the day.

Because I want the series I care about most first. :D After all, my post is my thoughts and views and no one elses. My posts are my wants, my opinions, my likes, my dislikes, etc. I don't want Beet or Stag right now because the show was subpar and is over. They had their chance to get Figuarts, so they go to the end of the line and wait like other series are. It is the same with Goseiger, they had their chance too. Bandai had no problem bringing out all of the Shinkengers and then jumping right into Gokaiger (outside of Knight), so obviously Goseiger wasn't that important to them like Go-Buster wasn't.

But whatever, again, this is all my opinion. I won't fault any of the series that aired when Figuarts did not exist, but they really should start catching up with the shows. I mean, even though they started late with Wizard, the only form coming out after the show ends is Infinity, and that is most likely where the Wizard stuff will end (which sadly means no effect set for Hurricane and Land forms). I just hope they can start releasing two Kyoryugers a month after red is out, especially since Pink and Cyan are the only ones that will need different bucks, the rest only need new helmets.

Your opinio, though it may be, on this whole thing? It's wrong. That's not how Bandais business model operates. I'm sure you're jumping for joy over Ryuranger and Kibaranger but they would not exist as of now if they hadn't been featured in Akibaranger Season 2. That show was created specifically as a marketing vehicle. We wouldn't even have the Dekarangers, Jetmen, Boukengers, Dairangers, Hurricangers, etc that we do now and are coming soon without that show to promote them further.

So saying silly things like I want all these teams that modern buyers won't care as much about right now is just that, silly. There has to be a demonstrated demand for certain figures to be produced. Like how BOJ is partially catering to the North American market with Zyuranger figures while also doing the same for it's domestic market via Akibaranger marketing. You can't just demand the teams you like and get mad when they focus on other teams that were started first.

It's ridiculously childish to say that a show is over and it had it's chance so those figures can wait til the end. You might want to walk all over shows like Goseiger and Go-Buster but there's a decent chunk of people, myself included, who love those shows. I'd like to see a couple more teams be completed before they go off and make a bunch of early 90's teams. Though I lover Carranger I'd rather complete the in progress teams first.

I will agree there. THey do need to complete the teams they have started up now before doing more. So Zyu, Dai, Bouken, Deka, and Hurri do need to be finished.

I'm hoping when they are done though, next year they do Aba and Kaku since it will be the 10th and 20th anniversaries for those series. Hell, even get Bioman in there for their 30th.

The biggest issue I have with your posts is that you consistently remain inconsistent with yourself. It's fine to have an opinion, but... "get the teams you've already started out, but be Gosei and Go-Busters be damned" and "they need to make figures during the run of the show, but Go-Busters is over so they can wait in the line that doesn't really exist to Figuarts in the grand scheme of things."

I think it's great that the Figuarts you're wanting to come out are, but there are others as well. Just because you're not interested in them they should just be forgotten about.

Lastly, Figuarts isn't a "one at a time" production. Bandai makes many molds and produces them after approval. The appearance of a new Figuart is a singular event of course, but it doesn't mean they aren't working on others at the same time.

EDIT: I wanted to add that it just seems like your posts are "this is what I want, get it out, and get it out now, and if you release something I don't want, that's time wasted on stuff I do want." That's the sense of entitlement I'm referring to. Instead, each Figuart should be a celebration, regardless if it's something you want or not. How many toy companies do you know that on a consistent basis put out figures with the adult fanbase in mind and continue making improvements (New Den-O, Decade VE) and rereleasing those hard to find ones (Hopper Bros.) to please the fans?

I really haven't been follow Kyoryuger, but that is a nice looking figuart.

It's pretty boring and was overhyped for a while but it seems people are really losing faith with it.

Kyoryuger has been quite awesome thus far. We get villains that feel like they are from the 90s era of Sentai, there is a bad ass red ranger, each ranger is diverse, but most importantly, the show has energy and more plot than Go-Buster had in its entire run. Gold is my favorite character in the show too as he is by far the best sixth ranger we have had in many years. Probably since Shurikenger (unless you count AbareKiller or GekiChopper as 6th rangers). IT's still not anywhere near as great as Gokaiger, but the show as a whole is running very strong.

I know it's being used to give his arm more range of movement without being interfered by the shoulder pad, but jeez. That looks terrible.

I can't wait to see if he is compatable with the bike that was released in the the regular toy line. I wanted this to work last year with the Red Buster and the transforming Nick, But it was too small. I am so pumped about this figure.

I haven't been keeping up with the fandom's general opinion on the show. I personally love it. King is easily up there as a favorite toku character.

Do you honestly feel the need to bash Go-Busters EVERY time you talk about Kyoryuger? We get it already, you didn't like it.

It's not really. Go-Buster was a great show that not enough people gave a chance. Kyoryuger is fun and zany and wacky, but the sense of urgency and danger that Go-buster had is absent. I do however like the show. Kyoryuger has alot going for it when it's real plot is moving forward. The one off episodic bits can be boring but overall it's an enjoyable show.

That is exactly the reason why I enjoyed what I've seen of Go-busters, admittedly I'm only like a quarter in, and couldn't stand Kyoryuger - I gave up when Gold was introduced.

Kyoryuger was willing to sacrfice everything for the sake of gags and that included making the show interesting.

Go-Busters had the same flash, the same great characters, even better mecha action and light hearted moments but it also had an actual plot, actual direction and actual tension and reasons to get invested.

Go-Buster has THE best mecha action. They really changed things up with their mecha battles. Everything about them was a step above the rest.

Especially the individual mecha battles, which for once didn't feel like a tacked on necessity. Really basic stuff, like shots through Ace's cockpit and outside and scenes with it being worked on by mechanics, really helped create a sense it was a real mech and not a dude in a costume.

I watched Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters in its entirety as it aired. I found the show to be a bit too slow at points, but things picked up when Beet Buster and Stag Buster arrived. In fact, they became one of the primary reasons I kept watching the show.

With Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, I watch it because it keeps me interested. It uses its weekly schedule and eccentricity to its advantage, and it has fun characters to further this advantage. I am wary of the Power Rangers adaptation, though, since it seems like Tzachcor isn't leaving anytime soon. Its gotten to the point where I've begun conceptualizing my own version.

Go- busters is like Sofia vergara and kyoryuger is like Kate upton.

They are both super sexy , and share common attributes. But aren't alike at all.

Go-Busters was last year's series, so yes, I have to always compare the two. Just like how I compared Go-Busters to Gokaiger, Gokaiger to Goseiger, Goseiger to Shinkenger, Shinkenger to Go-Onger, Go-Onger to GekiRanger, etc. Next year I will be comparing whatever the series is to Kyoryuger (and given Toei's track record, it is bound to be meh).

I personally, and just my opinion, found it a snoozefest. I couldn't get engaged with a show with no tension or drama.

You're missing the point of what he's saying entirely. You go out of your way to bash not to "compare". You use every opportunity available to you to bash Go-buster as a mediocre show and simultaneously uphold apparently every show of the 90's as the greatest shows ever that deserve all the attention and nothing else. That's not a comparison, and please try to respect other users opinions of shows. There's no reason to bring go-Buster up in unrelated thread.

Honestly I dislike Power Rangers almost unanimously, and while I do discuss the reasons why from time to time, I don't go into every PR thread here and trash other peoples opinions on the franchise. Everyone likes what they like but we have to be respectful of one another.

Nossan, Ramirez and Ian were the only characters I liked out of the whole show. I probably wouldn't bother buying any of them, but if they do a Ramirez I might consider it for the right price.

Ramirez I'd spring for just because I like him so much.
Maybe Ian, but he'd have to include something special or unique to seal the deal.
