I just do it because I noticed when watching some Sentai subs that the subtitles would be colored for each individual ranger when they were fighting. So red would have red subs, yellow would have yellow, etc etc. I just figured it would be an easy way to be able to tell everything apart when doing the ranger scenes, especially since I don't always put blah blah said/talked/asked/whatever after a piece of dialogue.

I flat out stole the idea from OOO :lol

I'm thinking of having another go at a Rider series, I'm thinking of basing the concept around a sort of Fate/Stay Night, Shaman King sorta idea. Where the Riders get their power from Spirits who make a contract with them. Not particularly original, granted, but as my first series I think aiming for something I could build upon would be better than trying to make Kamen Rider Citizen Kane.

That could work. So long as you put a unique spin on it, I'd read it. :D

Doesn't Super Sentai have more to manage? What with having 3-5 main characters that all need to be fleshed out and diverse as well as the mecha and how they're integrated into the world and such?

Yeah...but it's better then having to juggle a shit ton of different forms.

Not all riders have to have different forms. All the riders from Ryuki through Kabuto didn't. Oh well, to each his own I guess.

Personally a story with only one hero is pretty tough to manage in my eyes, it's better to have something with at least 3-5 people.

Yeah since I'm using a sort of Shaman King Fate/Stay Night sort of mold for mine, I'm gonna have several Riders all with just one form. Although I may give the hero a new form down the line.

The first episode is plotted now, just need to flesh it out.

I've literally been writing solidly for the last like four hours and finished up the first chapter of my new Rider idea. Hope you guys enjoy.

Yeah, that could be an issue...

I Just read the first little bit of it and I would recommend backing up a little bit to establish who the characters are, where the story takes place and what's going on before getting into the meat of things. Take for example in my Xtreme series, I start of with a big "WTF" moment with only two lines of dialogue, and then back up a bit to establish who the main character is and a bit of the supporting cast. Hell, Xtreme doesn't even transform for the first time until near the end... Just a bit of advice, other than that it looks pretty good.

Going to finish Access 21 for ModRanger tonight, and start writing the first part of "Kamen Rider X Kamen Rider- Xtreme X Magica: Movie Taisen Zeta", Magica's segment, "The Resonant Phantoms."

I thought I'd start it in the action, then pick up the story in the second episode, that way they can quickly get what the Rider is about and come back to find out what the show is about.

Replace "Access 21 for Modranger" with "Episode 9 of Xtreme" and "Magica's segment, "The Resonant Phantoms"" with "Xtreme's segment, "Mystery of Fate" and that's what I'm doing. :lol

Alright, just giving a bit of advice is all. :D

Aside from Modranger, I've been reading Kingdom Hearts: Road to Twilight. A fanfic that's as My Little Pony X Kingdom Hearts crossover. It's really good. Sora doesn't show up, and neither do other KH characters. Twilight's Keyblade being Oathkeeper kind of bothers me. I wish the author gave Twilight her own unique Keyblade.

And I am grateful! I just want you to know where I am at, stuff like Lily cracking the Monsters mask for example are important and will play a part in the coming episodes.

Ah, planting the seeds of what's to come... Always a good sign. :D

Yeah, I find that's biggest issue with fanfiction. Unless it's based on something popular no one wants to read it, and if it's an original story with it's own characters but set in a pre-existing franchise that's even more difficult.

I just thought to use the line 2's company 3's a crowd at the end of the first chapter of Xyger when they finish off the first monster.

And I worked in 20% Cooler into the newest episode of Xtreme. :lol

Yeah that is the thing and if you haven't got people reading it then it is hard to have the motivation to keep writing it. Even if someone came in, said it was complete shit and listed a hundred things wrong with it, at least I'd have something to build upon and know it caused some kind of reaction.

Yeah, I feel that a bad response is better than no response at all. That way at least you know that someone cared enough to read your work... On that note, would you mind checking out my Xtreme series when you get the chance? Who knows, it might give you a few ideas. :D
