How do you explain the Dairanger keys then?

thing is if it was just for the marketing teaser, they could have easily put all prezyu teams in there, there's no reason for dairanger to be in there and for that to be a key, if they were just selling that key for money for older fans, im wondering why they didnt bother making all prezyu team keys then?

Why not? It's an easy thing to explain that there are lots of past Rangers and we haven't necessarily seen them all.

Dairanger's not Pre-Zyu, so there's still no real reason for them to have Pre-Zyu. I think the best reason for why Dairanger would be included is because Saban's lazy and Kibaranger was only used once without being alongside the other Dairangers in Gokaiger. Its easier to have one line saying they're past rangers or something then shoot all new footage of Kibaranger and they wouldn't want to not have Kibaranger in it, because Tommy fans and all that jazz.

I wonder if Jetman will appear as well though, surely they'll have to keep the scene on Animalia in Super Megaforce and there's not a lot of ways for them to survive falling from the sky without lots of new footage, plus they have the Figuarts so it wouldn't be a total waste of advertising potential.

i really hope those suits have nothing to do with magna defender. they go with his aesthetic even less than the regular LG suits do and him having a team takes away from his loner bad assery

But why? It makes no sense at all to have them. Especially when they all change with the Kiba/White Ranger costume as well. They gonna write it in like White Ranger has his own team that no one ever knew about?

This season is trying it's damndest to do things just to do them and leave explanations at the door. And that's killing me.

I think they'll have Noah spout exposition as they change into the Dairangers and leave it at that.

It's okay for them to appear, but as the original team of MMPR White Ranger.

But why? How can that be explained and make even a degree of sense? Tommy's white powers were created just for him to use so there wasn't a whole team. Are they going to say Zordon and Alpha created an alternate set of powers for the rangers but never told them? Why would he then have hidden that fact from them? I don't see much logic in using this kind of footage.

It's kinda sad as well that people are making excuses FOR Saban, this is supposed to be a POWER RANGERS tribute series but Saban being the lazy, unimaginative, money hungry suits that they are decided it'd be both more profitable and easier for them to just leave in any of the sentai footage they couldn't be bothered to edit out.

If we even get an explanation for why the DaiRanger suits are even in the show you can thank your lucky stars (although it'll probably be like 'other dimensions duh' or something equally stupid that doesn't answer anything) but I think it's about a one percent possibility that Saban will do anything interesting with these new suits.

Super Megaforce looks like a steaming pile of turd that is 'for the fans' in like saying I punched you in the face because you're the fan of my fist. But I at least had something to hold onto, that they were redoing the Legend War but that doesn't mean that you can just edit that five minute scene and not edit it for the rest of your show. Hell the shows only twenty episodes long, I'm surprised you have enough time to dedicate to the actual Power Rangers let alone throwing in random unrelated sentai suits.

Grumble grumble grumble.

Well, of course we have to come up with the explanations. It'll be better than any reason Saban will present.

there's probably going to be no logic, even when the white rangers were created in mmpr 2, they never explained where the suit came from and saba because it's not a zyuranger suit, which im guessing is from planet where they had the dairanger powers/suits and alpha had transported the suit, created the coin and put the powers in the coin, so if dairanger is used there's probably going to be no explanation.

it's just something you have to learn for yourself.

Actually they directly explained in MMPR that Zordon and Alpha created the White Ranger Powers for Tommy because the Green had faded. They used the last small portion of the Green power and created the white. Billy even watched Alpha working on the suit itself in the sub-command center. So that was explained, pretty decently if I'm honest. They even explained that Tommy had Saba to help control the Tigerzord and his new powers.

bottom line is what's so bad about dairanger being in pr? for adults it might ruin the seriousness of everything, for kids it's another cool power up and toy to buy.

why is pr have to be geared for adult satisfaction and perfection?

Because they keep saying it is for the fans? That this is meant to be a celebration of twenty years of Power Rangers? And now they are using Sentai only suits?

If you can't see what is wrong with that, then you're a lost cause.

It's not. No one is wanting it to be.
Just because an opinion on the series is coming from an adult doesn't mean that person isn't taking into account that the show is still a kids show.

Saban has played this season up as "being for the fans". A true anniversary season of sorts. So the nod is there for adults, one would hope they explain things a little bit better than "oh well it's in the footage." The adult fans will definitely notice the inherent problems of this season and complain, as a lot of people are doing already.

However it's also a show for children primarily. But children aren't stupid either. Just tossing stuff like this in without proper explanations talks down to your audience. Children in the target age range are gonna be smart enough to realize something is off and they'll ask questions about it. Like Megaforce Black being Super Green. White Ranger magically having his own team of rangers. The Legned War footage that features WAY more sentai heroes that they have no clue even exist. And when their questions either aren't answered properly or no answer is given....

You can see where I'm going with this. It's lazy and sort of a middle finger to your adult and child viewers to not at least try and explain things better. Makes it seem like it isn't worth their time to do it for either group. I'm simply pointing out how it's an issue for both demographics but I don't personally watch Power Rangers much anymore.

I'll be honest, I think this was just whatever footage they could throw together for the marketing teaser. Now why they have the Ranger Keys? Probably just the same thing with the cards and they're doing it for the adult fans. Besides, we've had plenty of figures and vehicles that never made it in the show before. In my opinion, if they're going to add a team that never existed, why not add ALL of them in? I just don't see the point in adding the Dairangers.

Its world building and theres nothing wrong with it. Kamen Rider and Super Sentai do it regularly when they introduced movie exclusive rangers, zords, riders and other elements that would never appear in the show, one off appearances never to be seen again. THEYRE STILL OFFICIAL. Why shouldnt the western adaptation employ similar elements to fill things out (rhetorical question, i dont need any snarky replies to this). If theyre using Dairanger in merch then its likely in the show. Anybody with a problem there can bitch till doomsday, Saban is not listening and the kids dont care what we think.

Id kind of like the idea that relatives of Megaforce (parents, aunts, uncles) be revealed as the Dairangers, i think that would make an amazing episode and go to the core of what the show is about in terms of the life after being a ranger.
