And have some riders to ally with Kiva! Like Kengo can be Knight instead of an IXA user. Shizuka can be a witch. Have the Arms Monsters be devil arms to Kiva instead of living monsters in the castle. Fourze: Instead of "who's the zodiarts of the week", better have 52 episodes instead of 48, we need more zodiarts! I hate the zodiarts in two episodes. Turn the KRC members (Miu to Tomoko) into zodiarts in order for Gentaro to save them and gain their friendship. |
I have a lot! In order of release...
First off, as a random Showa thing, the Kamen Rider ZX movie definitely needed more buildup. The opening minute or so just tells you in narration who the lead character is, and how he ended up becoming a Rider. This would work if this was a movie for an existing TV show, so it's like a brief summary to get newcomers up to date, but this could've EASILY just been the first, I dunno, 20 minutes of the movie. As is, it feels like I walked into the middle of a movie and am being told what happened so far. I dunno, just seemed like an odd writing choice. With Ryuki I would want to alter the monsters a bit so that the only ones are the Contract Monsters, since the regular ones in the show kind of feel like an afterthought. The monster-of-the-week trope could still be applied by making a Contract Monster of some Rider go on a rampage, feeding on humans. The big reveal is who the monster belongs to. With Faiz I'd remove all the love triangles and unnecessary rivalry and miscommunication and-- y'know, just rewrite the show entirely. But seriously, I can't put it any other way. The lead character has a great personality and progression as the show goes on, but almost everything else about the show is iffy. Inoue is not my favorite writer, something you'll learn about me. XD Rewrite ending of Hibiki. Just, fix that ending, guys. It takes a detour from the somewhat consistent theme of "Work hard to pursue your dreams" and ends up with "Well, you might not always get what you want, so... have a Plan B?" - In some way it sounds like it makes for a nice twist, but knowing the production side, it was not clever writing, it was messy writing. Decade's Hibiki, of all things, was closer to a better ending. Kiva's a rough one. I don't like the protagonist's personality and all, but I understand if that's just me. I kind of want to take his shy, meek personality and make him more of a brooding artist. He's lonely, and shuts himself off from the world because he's tired of losing people. Similar to Faiz in that regard. A lot of the story would probably stay intact, it's just him I had issue with. I'd need to rewatch the show to remember any other things. Decade.... On second thought, let's not go there. At this point it's best not to touch. OOO's finale needed to be one episode longer, for sure. It felt too rushed for my liking. Fourze could've used more consistency and (again IMO) more focus eps on the individual Kamen Rider Club members. Yuuki's personality in the Aquarius arc was cranked up to ridiculous levels when she was perfectly eccentric as is. I also felt JK's DJ persona came out of nowhere, in a sort of "We just came up with this idea on the spot" way, some foreshadowing to it earlier on would've been nicer. I like a lot about Fourze, it just needs some tightening in some areas. Wizard could've had a much better plot for the Dragon forms, though I'm not sure what - as is, it seemed like they didn't have many creative ideas on how to introduce them all, and the use of the magic stones was largely the most uninteresting thing in the show. It all just felt too obligatory and too focused on selling toys (moreso than usual), when it had a perfectly cool story and setting it could've been building upon during that time. Taking cues from Kuuga, I'd also want the Phantoms to be successful once in a while, and have the police force actually do more useful things, like keeping Wizard alerted of any monster activity or developing artificial magic weaponry to fight Phantoms themselves, possibly so they can eventually stop relying on Wizard. I'll always say that Wizard had a lot of potential it didn't make nearly enough use of. |
I'd say for Wizard, stop saving so many people and let some become Phantom generals for Wiseman. And Haruto should become the Dragon Phantom later on when Fueki takes things too far.
Phoenix, Medusa & Gremlin were too less. Have more show up! Let some gain hope and let some fall to despair (like Kazuya and Naomi for example). And let Koyomi story of her body as a shell and her Phantom escaped be true. Quote:
Make Kiva Dante and Dark Kiva Vergil. |
Actually yeah, to add to my Wizard post, I would have liked to see more clichés from Dragon and Chimera. I'm serious. Clichés aren't inherently a bad thing, clichés become as such for a reason and one thing I always loved about Shounen manga, was the dark hero, the dark evil force lurking within that allowed them greater power at the loss of soul.
How cool would it have been, to have Chimera take over Beast's body, turning him into a giant monster? Or to have Haruto beaten to near death, only for the Dragon to take the steering wheel and tap into powers Haruto never knew he had? That shit would have been epic! |

The chimera phantom would have a sort of lion hear with sliver, black and golden color scheme all throughout along with the Chamelon and Buffa mantles on either of his shoulders and the falco and dolphin mantles forming a a split cape with orange on half and blue on the other. He also has access to the weapons Beast had along with the powers of the mantles (flight, healing, super strength, invisibility) Haruto would then fight against upgrade Gremlin, get his belt destroyed, have Gremlin run off. Haruto would soon fall into despair. The Chimera phantom in human form (AKA what would have been Nitou) comes in and Haruto would ask him to destroy the dragon since he doesn't know he's no longer Nitou or Beast. But Chimera would be a dick to him with Haruto going "Please.... help...me." Haruto falls into despair and becomes the dragon phantom, which looks like the CGI dragon phantom with the mostly gray color scheme and the red eyes. He would also have access to the SwordGun, Inifinty Axe and Dragon Timer. The rest of the endgame would consist of the chaos of the Sabbath, the supporting characters being confused about everything, the Chimera and Dragon Phantoms being dicks to each other and fighting. With an eventual team up between the Chimera and Dragon phantoms needing to defeat upgraded upgraded Gremlin and remembering they fought together when they were humans. The final attack to Upgraded Gremlin would consist of the voices of the Wizard and Beast Drivers shouting, "PHANTOM STRIKE" and the Dragon phantom growing the tail, wings and claws from the dragon forms doing an epic rider kick and Chimera phantom having all of the other 4 animal heads on his shoulders and shooting a big golden laser. Now this ending isn't considering weather or not I remove the other plot device Wizards or changing or removing other characters. .....Did I just write a fanfic? |
I like your ending to the series way better, Powerman.
Consistent haters of Wizard have been going mad for Wizard's climax but me, an avid fan of the series, has been pretty consistently disappointed with all the out of nowhere revelations, half arsed explanations that actually tell us nothing, emotional cashing in to characters we have no connection too and epic fight scenes rushed to the point of meaninglessness. My best version of Wizard, would be that these climactic ten or so episodes, would have played out over the whole series. |
Wizard certainly could have done with the dragon actually taking the reigns at some point, especially since it was being all "be careful how you handle this power LOL" when he got Flame Dragon.

That is why I stand by the fact that Haruto should have just been the Flame Wizard, with the other three elements being other Rider's who can give Haruto their power to become All Dragon. Then Haruto, being the protagonist, is the one who summons his own internal power, not leant to him by his Phantom, in the form of Infinity. |
I never really understood (story-wise) Haruto got the unique costume while the other three were left with the same Mage powerset, despite them all being the same means to an end. Did Fueki just decide at some point he was too much of a loose cannon and gave the other three powers he could control?

That is why I wish White Wizard didn't spend the entire show off screen, because this apparent tragedy that led him to dark magic, and mad science, sounds really interesting in all the exposition he dumps that comes with no visual prompts at all. Quote:
I would have made Tajador the final form. |

White Wizard gave Haruto the power to harness four elements...then went away and created three new Wizard's...why...you just created the DragoTimer...why not just use Haruto? I don't understand...

Yui Kanzaki is a fucking terrible character. She's whiny, she has no character development to speak of, she's annoying, she has no personality to speak of and she doesn't do anything to help out the protagonists.
She's a void of the character that the entire Ryukiverse is based on due to the Rider powers being made to give her a new life. Her shittiness as a character is so bad, it affects others around her. I look at Shinji, Ren and Shiro, at their developments as characters and what they aspire for and think to myself, "This was all going to be squandered so one person with no motivation or personality could live." Ren had a fiance to save so he could change his life. Shinji wanted to save others and went outside of his normal boundaries in order to do it. And Shirou wanted to save his sister so badly that he created this sick game, kept trying to accomplish his goal despite death and realized he was wrong in his intentions. Now look at Yui, does she change? No, is worried about her brother in the same way from episode 1 to 50. Does she help out the main chracters? In the first 2 episodes, she saves Shinji from being killed by Ren and told Shiji how to use the deck. And the story gives her the beginning of a subplot of revealing the truth about the nature of the Rider War, but that was given to Reiko from ORE journal. She becomes more of a burden later on with the Alternative storyline and her planning to comit suicide. Even characters that don't do anything like Hina from OOO, they still have a personality. Usually when a plot happens, there is development and payoff. Yui is the pay off of all of the bloodshed, change and death throughout all of Ryuki. She affects every other character by making their contribution to Shinji and Ren's character development have the shittiest payoff I have ever seen for any sort of plot I have seen in any sort of Fiction so far including the Rider series I have seen And this is what I believe was Kamen Rider Ryuki's biggest flaw, Yui. You can't fix a problem like this in an alternate ending. She's still fucking whiny and useless in the movie. This character needed to be rewritten. I'm not saying she was a bad idea, I mean her existence creates the interesting dilemmas of Alternative and Shirou it that she was poorly written and acted. |

Unrelated, but I had an idea that once a Rider had used the Survive cards, they got another contract card and maybe Shinji captured Destwilder and Ren capturing Pyscorouge instead of destroying them. |

I demand a total rewrite on wizard! Bring koyomi back!

When did this thread become the "Let's hate on Wizard" thread
|
Did the OP say that Ryuki is one of the worst seasons of Kamen Rider? Pfffthahahaha.
Anyways... Ryuki, just shave off pretty much the last..10 minutes of the last episode, basically the stuff after Ren dies in the hospital. W just needed to end one episode sooner, rather than bringing Phillip back. And Fourze should have left Kengo dead. Gee, pretty obvious what my big issue is with all the seasons I've watched. |
It would be better if Kaido became Kaixa in the final battle against the Orphenoch King instead of Kiba.
Kiba would've been better off as a dark counterpart/opposite of Faiz instead of being Orga. Orga would've been used by someone else like the king. |

Rewrite Wizard entirely?
How would you rewrite Wizard? And giving it a happy ending?
As for the Phantoms, there should be more generals than just Phoenix, Medusa & Gremlin. Including more riders than just Wizard & Beast. They should have a 2nd rider before Beast. Someone who works for Kizaki and are working on how to beat the Phantoms and Kizaki assigns the rider to team-up and work with Wizard & his crew. Including to keep an eye on their activities. |
I would give Decade an ending.

What shows would you want to have more riders in the show? |
#1 for me...Give Faiz 3 more episodes...2 for the Orphenoc King and 1 for a proper resolution...
#2 streamline Kabuto slightly...lose Drake, build up and flesh out Dark Kabuto a bit more...and explain where the hell the Hopper Zecters came from... #3 give Accel a movie trilogy like New Den-O had... #4 as weird as this is going to sound...Switch Imperer and Verde in Ryuki...Verde I think was worth his own story and Imperer was fine for the one off special... |
I'd take the Drago-Timer out of Wizard to keep eps 21-31 from turning into the watchable-but-not-as-great-as-it-should-be Showtime Sentai Phantomger. I hate that thing so much (not really, but still).
I'd give Decade some actual long-term planning instead of throwing scraps of paper with words on them at the producers and calling it a script. And finally I'd get rid of that 5-second long scene with Crazy Crab-lady Orphenoch at the end of Faiz that completely invalidates the otherwise serviceable finale. |
For Wizard get rid of the episodes:
36-37: Shunpei & Rinko fighting 38-39: A soccer player's girlfriend blaming Haruto for incident |
Wizard needs more mages. How about this...
- Wizard is the first one. A second mage named Druid appears as a secondary rider like Kaixa, Knight & Garren. And Beast is the third. As for the last three who became mages: Mayu, Yuzuru & Yamamoto. Give them their own wizard forms not "Mage". For White Wizard, put his name as Arch-Mage while Mage are a lower class. Mayu is Witch: http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...08-d6yafct.jpg Yamamoto is Necro: http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...08-d6zq0k4.jpg - Druid works for Kizaki, reporting him Haruto's activities through phone in hopes of how to forge magical weaponry against the Phantoms. He's like Nicholas Wolfwood from Trigun since Haruto is like Vash the Stampede. Though he fights alongside Wizard, he struggles with the Phantoms when he helped them once drown one or two people in despair in releasing Phantoms, like Kazuya and Naomi. Haruto blames him but eventually Druid redeems himself. While Wizard's final form is Infinity, Druid's final form will be Magna. The Phantoms: - Phoenix, Medusa & Gremlin shouldn't be the only ones. How about Pegasus who'll be the last general. Though he serves Wiseman/Fueki, he has a secret agenda. He'll use any of the generals for his goals. Satisfied by Wiseman's plan, he intends to use that plan of his as his own. So he kills Wiseman after a loss of energy during his fight with Wizard & Druid and steals his driver, rings & flute to become the new White Wizard. He'll be like Nightmare from SC and his weapon will be called Damnation. As for the last episodes and NO DECADE!: - Haruto should be drowned in despair after Koyomi is gone. He'll become the dragon phantom. But before Haruto is completely gone, in his mind Dragon would tell him that he waited for this day and that he'll bring Haruto back somehow with the Philosopher's stone and save Koyomi. Drowned in despair the dragon phantom was born but can still use Wizard's powers. After granting Sora's wish in being human again, Pegasus just destroyed him anyway as he served his purpose. Pegasus, uses the stone and White Wizard's powers to conjure up another ritual and making Phantoms and mages as his personal army. Dragon and Pegasus fight each other as their mage forms. Pegasus impales Dragon with his magic infused sword, but didn't expect Dragon to do it on purpose as in bringing Haruto back but can still transform into the dragon phantom. Eventually they fight as wizard vs wizard. Pegasus ends up defeated when Haruto steals the stone from him. |
