In general I don't think I've ever listened to any before. But I love being a part of discussions, especially over things like this. Hence my interest in participating.

Im gonna guess Kickback has a list of people already for the podcast. But! If youbwere to do guests- I will be down for that! Seriously, I can tall about anything, Toku to Transformers to Country music! :lol

Pft, that's nothing. I once gave an inspiring lecture of doorknobs that lasted at least 60 seconds, all while refraining from saying "ah" or "um."

And I thought my trying to explain Kamen Rider to a buddy was interesting, I wanna hear this! :lol

The thing about that lecture is it was made on the fly, since it was part of a game. I can only remember concepts. My band teacher ight have a recording of it, though.

If not, there's always that improvised speech I made about why the cytoskeleton is the most important organelle in a cell. I know for a fact that my biology teacher has a recording of that.

With that comment alone, I say that the TokuNation podcast needs "The KRX Science Hour" (although I would prefer "The KRX Science Minute," since I'm still a student).

As someone who been producing a podcast for a few years, and has been on a different one for a bit longer, I'd be totally interested in a Tokunation podcast.

I'd like to have a recap/roundtable format. Each week we get a summary of the newest episodes followed by a commentary. Open with emails, close out with KRX's Science Minute, put silly bits in between the episodic stuff.

You can get a "lead" for each show who would do the synopsis of each episode to provide continuity.

I use Audacity and Skype to do everything. It's actually quite straightforward once you practice with it enough. Powergrammo is good for recording Skype calls as well, and there are a few levelling apps out there which will help keep everyone's levels even.

If you are interested in making a podcast, I recommend listening to this episode of Two True Freaks. It's a lot of practical tips from some veteran podcasters.

...I'd MUCH rather hear a "what we got this week" segment ala WTF@TFW rather then KRX's science minute IMO.

That would make a great part of the opening, "yuck it up" time segment. Bring the show in, go around introducing yourselves, then, "Okay, did anyone get any cool tokusatsu stuff this week?"

Trust me, having segments and bits will help you produce and build a show.

We could probably follow WTF's format and go:

Things the hosts got that week, 1 front page news article of the hoster's choosing/round table discussion of big news announcements, listener questions and emails, intermission, then close out with episode summaries and discussion.

That way, no body gets spoiled if they wanna listen to the podcast.

I'm always looking for stuff to listen to at the gym, I think it's a good idea!
I'm sure if you asked via twitter/Facebook you would be able to get some old power rangers alum to get on for interviews. JDF would probably be really easy to get on board for an episode.

I would be quite interested in listening a TN podcast. I'd also be interested in being on a TN podcast, but it seems like every 3rd person has also said that. My main possible qualification is that I buy far more toys than I should, so I'd usually have something to contribute to a WWGTW segment. :D

I'd be interested in it. But I agree with the idea of not doing it weekly. Monthly would probably be a better way to do it, as it gives time for you guys to gather more news and stories to talk about at one time then having everything kinda scattered.

Plus if I ever got my hand on a mic, I'd enjoy crash...I mean being a special guest ^o^

Monthly would make it very difficult to have current coverage of any weekly shows, though.

So it boils down to what do the producers want as content?

That's actually what I was thinking concerning holding the show monthly.
I feel once every 2 weeks would be fairly good to start with, so any given show can't advance in a major way while also letting the speakers talk about what new toys they may have gotten in.

After so long, you can adjust it more or less shows per month depending on interest and talking points.

Every two weeks sounds like a good idea.

I'd be down for a Tokunation podcast. I don't go out of my way to listen to podcasts, but when they are part of a site I'm on I'll listen to them. Just make sure there is a .mp3 version for smaller timers like me :lol
