I did not realize this had started already. Crap I need to catch up. Been wanting to check out Blade and I cannot think of a better excuse to than to watch it with you guys.

Episode 3: So, here's the exposition. Giant Battle of 53 creatures? Cool. But what's up with Tachibana. Is he just being a douche for no reason, or what?

Watched episode 1 on good drama and half of the second one until I couldn't handle the poor quality it had so I finished up on You tube and enjoyed it.

So finally gettting around to watching Blade, episodes 1 and 2-

Honestly didnt pay much attention to 1 because of the crappy quality, but it was there.

2 is actually pretty good, Garren disappears, but Im pretty sure there is no way he is a traitor, there was that part of the security footage with it blanking out during the henshin. Chalice looks badass, I already hope for an SHF of him to be made, just hope there isnt a bike 2pack. :lol

Watching 3 now, will post thoughts later.

Algo, dang you for showing me this. That is an awesome SHF! No wonder people go crazy over Blades Riders design, they are looking amazing!

I completely adore Blade's designs. Despite Garren coming with the bike (Thus destroying my toy budget for that month), I completely intend on getting all 4 of the main Riders' Figuarts (And if I can find it for a decent price, Blade King, too).

It is hypnotic...

So thoughts on 3-

Okay, half of this I got distracted rearranging a shelf, but for the most part I saw that Garren is apperantly a whipping boy for something. Also, must be because I never paid much attention to Libra in Fourze, but Im not seeing the similarity, that can also be added to the crappy quality I seem to watching Blade in. :lol

He looks exactly the same, it's kind of creepy actually. :lol

One of the Net Movies has Libra suddenly remember his time as Garren, it was hilarious. :lolol

Yea I saw that one awhile back, but having not seen Blade at the time, it was lost on me. Maybe I should rewatch Taisen and TaiHen just to get all the Rider references :lol

Needs that, but... but... no money :(

Considering how the Taisen team up thingies appear to garner a lot of flak and you speak of them having a large amount of references, are they the "'Movie' Movies" of Tokusatsu?

And yes uchihabro, there is a Santa Cl-er I mean 4th main rider in Blade. Who do you think will be the Rider themed after the suit of Clubs?

The 4th Blade Rider actually appears in the opening (Not in suit, of course).
And I loved the Taihen short with Garren. He's both Libra and Tachibana :lol

I dont think they have a lot, its just when I saw it the first time, I had only seen OOO, W, and half of Fourze, so most everything else was lost on me. :lol

I didnt realize the Card thing actually. So Blade is Spade, Garren is Diamond and Chalice is hearts?

Really? Outside of Chalice, I thought the card theming was fairly clear :lol
But yep, right on the money.

Oh, that's not me giving a spoiler warning, I don't know either. I do know his bug-theme is an arachnid to go along with Blade's Rhino beetle, Garren's Stag beetle and Chalice's Mantis.

Yeah, I did not know Chalice was a mantis. I thought he was a grasshopper.

Well, I guess it helped that Blade was my older brother's first Kamen Rider series (Back when I didn't really care for it), so I had seen a lot of Blade before I even really understood or cared for it.
2 plot points were spoiled for me long before I had gotten into Blade because of it, and I had seen a lot of the designs and saw the card theming that way.

Clubs is Leangle. <- Actual spoiler warning if you don't want to know the 4th Rider's name.
And I didn't catch Chalice being a Mantis until I got a good look at his transformation card, don't worry :lol

They are covered in their respective symbols, It's kinda hard to miss. :lol

I love the playing card motif in Blade, it was integrated so well.

I'm running behind, because reasons, but my thoughts and impressions pretty much mirror everyone else's comments so far.
Hopefully I will make time to watch the next three episodes before everybody moves on to the third week.

Finally got round to downloading Blade! This is my first LWW so I'm pretty excited. Just watched eps 1-3, not much to say that hasn't already been said: love the suit designs and the way the show starts straight off with catastrophe. Theme music's pretty awesome. I also have lots of trouble telling Kenzaki, Kotarou and Hajime apart! I can tell I'm going to enjoy this series...

That's about all to say for now hopefully should have some time to watch the next 3 later and catch up with the rest of you!

Don't worry. Hajime soon becomes pretty distinguishable thanks to his coat.
As for Kenzaki and Kotarou, just look for the one drinking milk. That's Kotarou :p

Yeah, when Blade first started and I was watching it raw, I kept getting Kenzaki and Hajime mixed up during the first few episodes. Episode 5 is when Hajime starts to really stand out on his own.

Never had a problem with Kotarou though, as he looks like he is barely 18 while Kenzaki looks to be about 24. Kotarou is also one of the few sidekick nobodies that is not overly annoying either from the Heisei KR era.
