I havent fully watched it in forever. Just goin by what Ive remembered. Dustin and the BMX thing never bothered me, Shane mightv got a bit annoyin since they just tried to make him Tony Hawk with a Morpher. Tori, I never had a problem with at the beach. I love the megazords, the Wind Megazord not as good as the Thunder, but those two together is nice, along with the Samurai Star, combined into the Hurricane, that was a great one. |
To me, only the Thunder Megazord looked good. The Wind and Samurai ones looked terrible, and their combined mode made Samurai Ha-Oh look well designed.

Been watching Timeforce and SPD lately on netflix. I forgot how much I had enjoyed Timeforce and man I really like Ransik his actor does a great job playing the role and even though he's not a sympathetic villain he is much better than a lot of the others in my opinion and he does look pretty freaky too.
As for SPD I'm enjoying though I think they went a bit overboard if they were trying to make Gruumm having a split personality at times He's just kinda meh villain in my opinion. The team is great though I'm always wondering where the heck Crouger's snout goes when he morphs into the Shadow Ranger considering the character existed in the sentai as well. |
Zeo, i'm enjoying it more than i thought i would.
|
i started watching lost galaxy again. feels like the fist time though, i was so young i hardly remember it.
|
I've burnt myself out on Power Rangers for awhile. I've been meaning to do another run through MMPR Season 3, but I just can't seem to get the motivation.
Instead I've been watching Digimon, haha |
High Five
MMPR S1 E2 I'm laughing hystarically right now watching a mini space shuttle fly to earth, with Japanese markings, and zoom down Tokyo streets.. because I cant believe I bought this as a teenager :lol Still good though! And I forgot about Bones.. Which is sad because he has to be one of the best looking early villians, and that voice is emaculate. The unmorphed fighting scenes weren't bad either. Shame Trini comes off as an overbearing nurse mother because of her fear of heights. Shamefully though I did enjoy her in strech pants. I'm a shallow husk of a man, I know. Just ask my girlfriend :lol And I swear I just heard Billy say "Morphitudinous" ... I'll give you morphinominal but maybe we should end it there :lol It is amazing though how much Zordon sounds like Gosei, or Gosei sounds like Zordon. Is it the same person? And now a new monster shows up, from another episode of Zyuranger, because Zords :lolol God Saban... This whole episode just left me confused :lol But I enjoyed it. |
Teamwork!
MMPR S1E2 Does anyone know what happened to Bulk's 80's reject girlfriend that appears in the beginning of this episode and then just disappears? The beginning of every Save The Earth episode ever done by Power Rangers through every season, right here. But atleast it introduces Kaplan, who's alot more memorable than whatever his name is in megaforce. The science teacher.. guy.. person. One problem I have is instead of sending Jason and Billy to the girls to help out, he has them delivered to the command center! "Look guys! Girls can't fight loooooooolz..." That Minotaur though.. Something about the first season of Power Rangers, they had such memorable villians. I remember more about the first season of villians than I do about what I did yesterday. I wish I never knew that in Zyuranger, Yellow was a man. Because now it's very obvious that Trini not only loses anatomy on her chest but gains one a little lower. And Zordon.. "Maybe it's time I reveal to you the secret of your Power Weapons." Why didn't you before? "It amused me! YOU ALL EXIST TO AMUSE ME!" Watching the original Live Action Gattai though does bring me much nostalgic happiness and joyjoy feelings. OMG.. Trini's stunt person in the american only footage is a man to! And she gained four inches in height. It's Moune/Gia all over again but without the genderswapping! I bitch but I enjoyed this episode to :lol |

I had no problems with Turbo :I
|
Turbo is the first Power Rangers series (Chronologically) that I can declare is good without vomiting a little. It honestly makes me little a sick to my stomach that whatever the fuck Zeo was is considered "Power Rangers at it's finest."

I have as little faith in Power Rangers fans as I do sentai ones.
Disney is repeatedly hated, and despite having good reasons to hate it like the fact they held an axe to the throat of the shows entire run, the "fans" always hate the run for all the wrong reasons. And for some reason let Saban slide with stuff that Disney can't. I can perhaps give MMPR a less strict sentence as Saban were still working it out. But all the stuff after that, Saban has no excuses. |

"A Pressing Engagemtn" MMPR S1E4 Two things. What the heck. Jason is doing bench presses, going for the record, while Ernie is cheering him on... eating a meatball sub and drinking a milkshake. And Kimberly in that gymnist leotard. Yup, that happened :lol How exactly, though, did Bulk set the record anyway? King Sphinx, another excellent Season One monster. Zyuranger had some excellent villians.. and I feel like I say that alot. But damn their awesome. But uh.. I can't quite explain why he needs to do the chicken dance to flap his wings.. And something else they never explained. Goldar had wings.. and now he doesn't. But then gets them back, and Zedd says they were taken away. But they never showed him losing them! ... So... The Megazord's crawler mode has to be one of the greatest things ever. And the simplicity of the Megazord itself. And this would be the one and only episode it used the crest laser, I think. Which is also a shame. But, eh, what can ya do. They had to work off the source material. All in all a decent episode. |

Now a days a monster randomly appears, the villains go "OOO THIS GUY DOES THIS", it attacks, and 9 times out of 10 the Rangers just morph in to battle with no briefing. MMPR Season 1 RITA: AHHH MY MONSTER! WITH ITS LOLZ ATTACK THE RANGERS ARE FINISHED! ZORDON: Rangers. This is the LOLZ monster, that has the LOLZ attack. If you are hit with it, you will LOLZ uncontrollably for hours. *fight starts* Rangers: Remember team, we have to avoid the LOLZ attack or we're finished! Megaforce MONSTER: AHHH I AM LOLZ MONSTER TIME TO GO TO WORK VRAK: Excellent. Rangers: Stop right there! Whoa, what is that? I GOT HIT WITH A BEAM LOLOLOLOLOLOL |

Just finished Zeo today, and tomorrow I'll go on to watch...
Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie and Power Rangers Turbo. *Screams internally* |
Watching the Turbo movie now. Wish me luck.
*Still screams internally* |
Unpopular opinion time.
I think the Turbo movie is far more watchable than the original PR movie. When I rewatched both seasons, I could barely sit through the PR movie :lol |
I'm only 30 minutes in as of right now, and ho-lee crap I forgot how foxy Divatox was.
I also forgot how annoying of a villain she was, too. |

I still like her, though. Below Zedd, but definitely above the Machine Empire (Not sure if I like her over Rita, though. My opinion tends to vary for her) |
I was never a fan of the MMPR era villains, I know goofy fun was kinda the point and the show never takes itself too seriously but as Ninja Storm proved if you never have a serious moment in your entire show, then the show is boring. And sure there were "serious" moments in MMPR but it was still so generally goofy it only ended up feeling more like a parody of a melodrama than genuine seriousness. Zedd was a doofus, Rita was annoying as all fuck, half of her generals did nothing, Goldar was cool as hell in like his first two episodes, then they changed his voice actor and made him into some comic relief idiot. Bleh.
|
Almost done with Turbo, just need to watch the last nine episodes today.
I'm going to be honest; I've never watched much of In Space, or any season after it until Dino Thunder. |
I've been contemplating grabbing a Lovefilm subscription so I can marathon through In Space and Time Force. Especially In Space, as it's a season I barely remember but I see huge praise for on here.
|
18 episodes into Power Rangers In Space.
WHY THE HELL DID I GIVE UP AFTER TURBO WHEN I WAS A KID!? |
Quote:
Zordon, I guess. |
It's official, Zhane is my favorite Ranger now. :D Just three episodes after his debut and already he's the best Sixth Ranger.
|
Just discovered that netflix has Time Force... so I've been marathoning it. Thirteen years later and it's still awesome! (except for Uniquely Trip, that episode can go die in a fire for all I care)
|
Finished In Space. Best season ever so far! I still can't believe this was at one point considered to be the last season. If it was, Saban did a bang-up job making the Zordon Era end on a high note.
Now if they could put the same amount of effort into Megaforce and presumably Super Megaforce like they did with In Space, then maybe I might forgive Saban. |

I really loved In Space but they got to that point of "What do we do now?" Specifically the after the Silver Ranger's issues are taken care of until the Psycho Rangers appear.
I know there's that whole Andros/Karone storyline that pops up for an episode or two, but there's filler ... and it's kind of boring. |
