I haven't seen Go-Busters yet, did it do bad in Japan?

I really hope they keep Kyoryu away from Go-Busters. |
Personally, I don't mind it being on Nick. I do enjoy not having to dig through my DVR's guide to find some horribly buried digital channel, when I can find it on basic and either watch it or record it and be done. The Hub is a REAL bitch to find on my current provider (TWC) and I know there's a guide search and all that, and I realize this probably sounds lazy and maybe it is, but I know where Nick is. It's always basic cable and I can switch to it no problem.
On top of that, IT'S BASIC CABLE. INCLUDED. Fortunately, The Hub is part of a small package that's only $5.95 extra, per month, which is not terrible. I'd rather buy a package than an entire tier like my last provider. Hasbro has done so many things assbackwards, it hurts. I hate to admit it, but Saban and Bandai are a winning combination. Hasbro and...Hasbro (?) just...terrible. I do believe sales of TFs would've climbed if the show was far more accessible to all audiences, not just spoiled children and adults who have more money than brains. Sure, Prime was an excellent show, overall, but they dropped the ball in the final season and screwed up Predacons Rising. Was it really worth it when everything tied to it ended up losing money? I don't think so. Hasbro's claimed in the past that they were seeking multimedia as a main focus. I'm starting to think the toys just don't matter as much as they used to. Whereas with Saban and Bandai, they're their bread and butter. Bandai makes great toys, they need Saban to pawn them off on children. (He does this well.) Saban needs Bandai to keep making great toys so we and the kids keep tuning in. (And great toys they do make.) Keeping it on Vortexx and Nick? Brilliant idea. Hasbro needs to take a look at Disney's missteps with XD and Jetix, because those were friggin' expensive and the numbers weren't there. Hasbro has dropped their quality on the toys, as well as made their media unobtainable to many, and just keep on truckin'. WTF, man? seriously. |
Not for nothing, but the Hub is available to approximately 72 million homes, which is 63% of all households with TVs.
That's not saying it's average ratings, but it's not as widely unavailable as you say... |

I could say "There's no way Go-Busters and Kyoryuger could work as the same show", but then again the same can be said for Goseiger and Gokaiger and they're forcing those two awkwardly together.

How could they tie GoBuster and Kyoryuger together, anyway? There's a yellow and gold ranger in GoBus, but only a gold in Kyoryu...

I'm hoping that gobusters adaptation only lasts a year, if nothing else for the sake of the toys. God knows how they will manage that mecha.
The number of mechs in kyoryuger I could see them stretching that 2 years. Otherwise it would literally be a new ability every 1-2 episodes. I'm way too cynical about this. They should just go back to 30 odd episodes a year. |

Let's assume given the evidence we have that each adaptation will take two years.
2013-2014 - Megaforce/SuperMegaforce 2015-2016 - Go-Busters (Spy Force?) There's hope, however slim, that when it comes time for Kyoryuger he'll put it on Vortexx and not Nick. |

Thought for sure that 2015 would be when Kyoryuger got adapted (Power Rangers DinoVolt?) and so on... Maybe Nick is a cocoon? |

I just hope that it isn't broken into two seasons. Unless it's DinoVolt Carnival instead of Super DinoVolt. |
I don't think the spy theme is so prevalent in Go-Busters for the PR season to center on that.
Heck, I can't remember the last time they used their guns in camera mode to gather information. |

Guess we can hope Dinovolt and Dinovolt Carnival pull a DS and wind up being the names. |

Is hating on Disney still a thing...really? Yes they threatened to cancel it every five seconds and yes they disregarded a lot of continuity. But despite seemingly never being all in, they spent more money than Saban seems to ever have, making even close adaptations completely their own.
People may be unhappy with the new stuff added, and fine, whatever but I'd still rather have new content that doesn't please everyone than straight adaptations done much more amateurishly and seemingly with no budget. Or adaptations where they just slot in two disconnected scenes of the Rangers stood about in their civilian form, before padding the rest of the episode out with sentai footage. Which is exactly what we're gonna keep getting, fucking wonderful. |
Disney hired people who could actually act. Say what you will but I'll take 90% of the Disney era cast over just about any samurai/megaforce actor.
And who says go-busters will be 2 years? 3 mecha in 2 years doesn't seem too likely to work for their toyline. I'd be shocked if they didn't bang it out in 1 |
Well, f***. There goes the Go_Busters adaption. My theory was correct. Haim Saban has been replaced by Satan.
