The plus side is that peg joints are easier to fix then ball joints provided you got metal rods and super glue handy.

Once you have it in hand you'll know what's wrong with it.
Lanky proportions, a head that's a bit too small for it's body, legs that connect to the hips in such an odd way that it leaves unsightly gaps when posing anything beyond standing straight, bowed legs, gaped armor detailing, etc etc.
The Kabuto SHFs aren't bad figures (Hell, when first released, they were heralded as some of the greatest Kamen Rider figures ever), but as SHFs evolved and grew in quality, the errors with the Kabuto (And The First) figures became extremely apparent.

As for the new hand system, as long as the wrist isn't just a hinge, I don't have any problems.

It looks great but the price I've seen is heavy. Also I'm not a fan of the figma style hand system, I like the current one that allows you to choose between an up/down tilt or an in/out one.

I agree on the hands. I think there is nothing wrong with them the way they are currently. In fact, those hands look like the pegs are going to be fragile as ****. Plus, it means you can't interchange hands.

The only difference besides the hips are he is thicker. The head is only appropriate size because his body is too. Unless they plan to redo ALL of the Kabuto riders in this style, this version is pretty much pointless because he won't match with the others.

This is my thought. I could think of 5 other riders to fix first.

Again these hands could still be on ball joints. The only difference being that instead of swapping the hands over those thin ball joints you'd be plugging the entire assembly into the forearm. Soundss perfect to me.

And on price ive seen rumors floating about that it could be upwards of 5000 yen. Totally unsubstantiated right now though. That price would be pretty steep, but i cant say I wouldnt pay it for such a superior figure when compared to the original.

Honestly, I really like the new hands. In addition to what most people are saying about it lowering the chance of breaking, it also just looks a lot better, directly connecting to the wrist instead of having this awkward ball in between. And I know a lot of joints look awkward on figures, but the ones they can cut back on, they should.

I mean, take a look at the Shingeki no Kyojin figmas that are coming out, instead of using the typical figma hand joint, they are using one a lot closer to the typical SHF hand joints, and to be honest they look horrible.

I love the new hands style. Ball jointed wrists are more trouble than they're worth.

I'm iffy on the new hands until I see them in person, but the rest of the figure looks downright awesome. Give me the rest of the Kabuto riders redone with this body and we'll be in business. A Sasword would be fantastic.

Well the way people are talking makes it sound like they can not do the same thing.

And yes, yes I do think they look more fragile. As much of a pain the wrist joints are at times, I never feel like I'm going to break the ball on the joint. On those, they look like they are easy to break like they are on the Monster High dolls.

Well, if they just do them for Kamen Rider, that is fine but I want the rangers to stay with what they have so I can continue swapping hands if I want to.

I assume that would be the case anyway unless they give the Sentai figuarts a new body type.

Anyone have any idea why this kabuto is more expensive than your average shf?

I know that some changes have been made to how they design this kabuto, but, is there that much of a difference between this kabuto and all the other released and soon to be released shf that does not cost 5000yen.

Hopefully the raised price means better quality.

I hope not. I actually like the rider feet without the diecast, honestly. The diecast doesn't really make them more stable (it helps, but does not guarantee it) and it makes it feel like the feet are going to break off when posing them due to the added weight.

I think i might not order this kabuto when it is release for pre order, i'll wait until it is released and see what people are saying about it first.

I think, should any Kabuto character get a renewal next, it'd likely be the Hopper Hell brothers.

I think Gattack has a better chance. Yes, Dark Kabuto would just be a redeco, and the Hopper Hell Brothers have neat enough designs, but Gattack is more popular as a character, if I'm not mistaken.
