A Rider show where a belt doesn't make a hero?! Whoa calm down Kamen Rider Gaim, don't get all progressive on us. I think if Kouta continues to feel this human, and this well written, I may have a new favourite Rider of all time on my hands!

Kouta aside though, I'm still not exactly sold on this show, I'll be honest. There is so much going on at once, that barely any scene is allowed to play out to a point of satisfaction. Big is great but it isn't always better, and there are a lot of times where I wish they'd just reign it in a little, because right now everything feels so compressed, there is no flow, it's just clunky and jerky.

Zangetsu was hella cool though, I wish the suit wasn't so boring.

Talk about a great episode! We didn't see a lot of Mitsuzane before this, but his character just solidified in this episode. Ryugen looks really cool with the Chinese motifs and would only be better if he wielded a sword.

My favourite part of that episode was Zangetsu giving Gaim the beatdown, and how it really scarred Gaim. I too would be terrified beyond belief, I would have thought this was just a game, not an actual battle for life, as he said. Poor Kouta is stuck with it now.

Ryugen debut was great, all the characters get their moment to shine, and the concept of the inves games is tearing apart.

The warring states concept is really starting to develop. I just love how the story and themes are slowly unfolding.

Ryugen's suit looks great in action and Micchy is coming into his own as character. I was afraid the other riders wouldn't get much chracterization. But everyone seems to be shaping up pretty well, even the Invito and Raid Wild leaders. Ready for Gridon and Kurokage!

Really dug this episode. Where last week's episode bopped along at a break neck speed, this episode took it's time and was rather plot heavy (which is a good thing, IMO). If future episodes are like this then I think we are in for one heck of a show. Too bad we have to wait until next week for episode 5...the wait is going to kill me! :lol

Now that I have seen the episode with subs I gotta say I really enjoyed it. Zangetsu is one evil bastard and I liked that Mitsuzane finally got some character development. I can totally see him going bonkers in future episodes and turning his back on his friends.

Especially if Mai is somehow threatened.

I think she will be a key point in his future. We already know that he loves her and we can assume it will stay one sided. I would guess that one day he cant handle it anymore and will join Yggdrasil and his brother and thats why they are allies in the future rider war.

So Mai falls in love with Kouta (or is already with the way she doesn't shut up about him), Ryugen gets butthurt, his brother is like 'lol let's kill him together' and he's like 'okay cool' and then that big fight happens?

Well if they really want to be like old heisei rider they dont need more reasons xD Back then the only reasons they had were "I am mildly annoyed by you...lets kill each other!"

Now that I've sen it subbed, it was excellent. Baron is cool, Kota is a great character, Ryugen is cool, Mai was even more understandable, Zangetsu was cool, and the plot thickens.

Just watched the subs, and I'm really liking Ryugen.

That was really good. Even the stupid fruit heads didn't detract from this episode. I'm really starting to like how Ryuki 2 is developing.

You see, I had the choice to either watch this or do my A.P. World History homework. I think I made the right decision. :lol

I like how Zangetsu is more dead inside than truly evil. He obviously cares for his brother, but everything else on the battlefield is just something he needs to burn. At least, that's what I got from him.

Eh, episode was ok. Definitely wasn't bad, and I liked the battle between Gaim and..melon dude. Wish Ryugen's debut was a bit more spectacular, as I actually like the direction they are taking Micchy with this.

Also, no new episode next week sucks :[

I enjoy this ep (and all the previous ones) immensely. You can see the change within Kota, going from happy to lucky to one that is more matured and subdued. It never dawned on him that having the driver means you are constantly exposed to other Riders' attacks and it's not what he signed up for in the beginning, so I understand his reluctance to stay in the game.

You can totally tell Mitsuzane has a crush on Mai and it's one of the reasons why he decided to become Kamen Rider Ryugen. It'd be interesting to see how other teams deal with 2 Riders, particularly Baron.

I think this is going to be a great, and festive year. With fruits and carnivals! <3

So far Gaim is everything I hoped it would be and more.

Mitch is a very interesting character. He wants to be his own person but he also wants his family's approval and he's not above using the family influence to get what he wants. There's a lot of potential there.

As for Zangetsu... dang. Baron may play to win but he plays fair. Zangetsu will fuck you UP.

Its also a remarkably refreshing turn that the Driver doesn't automatically turn you into an unstoppable badass. Kota's been severely traumatized by what he's seen, almost the way a real person would react to this. It's excellent. :)

It's amazing how after 4 episodes this is shaping up to be my favourite Rider series I've watched. This was just another brilliant episode.

Between Zangetsu, Kota's mental breakdown and the direction Micchy's character seems to be going in I couldn't have really asked for a better episode. I think I'm going to refrain from judging the suits until I see them properly in show too from now on, because much like Baron Ryugen looked utterly fantastic once it debuted.

This is going to be a very good year methinks.

I did really really enjoy the second episode, and the first episode was okay. But I've found the third and fourth episodes very meh.

Ryugen's first henshin was cool. Really loving the show thus far. :D

Gaim is definitely turning out better than I was expecting. Hell I even like how the dance teams were integrated this year, it actually fits unlike that stupid samba crap that Kyoryuger has going on. So my one big concern actually turned into a positive here. The whole sengoku/warring thing with the battles between the troupes and alliances and whatnot is an obvious, but still somewhat clever metaphor.

And the fruit thing has grown on me.

Mitch is becoming one of my favorite characters.

He's the guy who couldn't get the girl, isn't good enough in his family's eyes, and felt kind of discarded/neglected about being on Team Gaim. So when Kouta is freaking out about living/dying, Mitch decides he wants to step up and be the leader and uses his family's influence to get himself a Warring Driver, and transforms in to Kamen Rider Ryugen.

Next episode has the future two riders with Kamen Rider Baron going all out on Kamen Rider Ryugen, only for Kamen Rider Gaim to save him and team up on Baron.

Absolutely loving this show. But where's the jailbait girl in white? She's been gone too long.

She appeared when Gaim first transformed, and when Baron first transformed.
She'll probably appear early next episode(Ryugen didn't get to do a whole lot this episode).

Well she is the same actress that plays Mai so really we see her every episode. Fake Blonde hair or natural black :p

Ya know. My initial reaction to Baron was that he was a dick. But good lord , Zangetsu sure took the cake with that title. It was said before and better by others. But Kota cowering in the corner was refreshing to see after somebody nearly took his life. The last 4 episodes of Gaim have been way better then I could have ever anticipated. I am definitely a fan.

Ryugen is really interesting me, I like how he essentially blackmailed Sid into giving him a driver.

Damn this episode was good! So, the bikes are like the Delorean (Back to the Future), Zangetsu's an asshole, and Kouta is scared out of his freaking mind. And then we get Ryugen. Now, how much for the AC figure, where can I buy it, and when's it out?

The guy was almost slaughtered because of something he thought was a game. And it wasn't with a big, scary monster—it was another human being. Frankly, it's quite logical for him to get freaked out by this experience.
