I REALLY hope they can keep up the momentum.

What I loved too was just how strong Baron is - he was holding his own in a battle while essentially fighting one-handed, due to the other hand being busy holding the Inves locks.

Puts him on a whole other level.

You can really tell that Baron trained every single day since he got his driver. Thats what I like about Kaito he always talks about his strength but he is the sort of person who can back it up. He never resorts to dirty tricks and yes you could argue he cheated by summoning the Inves but its still a function of the driver the others could have used too.

That was his henshin in this episode, I just find it ridiculous about how much of a badass he is...then that falls down. And look at Ryoji and Hideyasu's faces :lol

Grape Squash = Epic Win. Sadly though the fight scenes feel oddly clunky, I don't know what it is about it, just something doesn't flow right. At least until Kouta transformed and then it admittedly got really awesome, Ichigo Arms is pretty damn cool, although not quite as cool as Pine Arms. So glad I have this set on the way, can't wait for my Gaim to throw knives of friendship.

Although I really didn't like Baron's suit at first, I've grown to love him simply for how badass he is. He's clichéd as hell, but I also can't deny how cool he is, despite wearing banana shoulder pads. I mean he even broke the tired old tradition of waiting people to transform, sure it didn't actually work, but he tried.

Sadly, Ryugen has really let me down. The suit is still my favourite but Micchy SUCKS and he wasn't even a good character to begin with. I just hope that with the way they've positioned him, he'll go down the whole loss of innocence arc and grow into a real badass from it. Guess I'll get a Baron AC instead.

I don't even mind the fact that fruit falls from the sky as a part of their henshinn. Part of me wishes that I didn't learn so much about the show before going in.

Just finished the episode. I have to say, Micchy may just be my favorite character.

You don't get used to it, you simply try to ignore it.

I actually think Wizard's Henshin is way worse. I know the henshins here are ridiculous, but they are kinda fantastically so. Haruto's driver was just annoying, and was never intentionally ridiculous.

Giant fruits falling on them doesn't drain the tension out of a scene, because they have in universe characters going 'dafuq' to remind us we aren't supposed to be taking it seriously (we're to take the action seriously instead) but Wizard would set up a hugely dramatic duel, Haruto would be poised to henshin, you'd be on the edge of your seat...then the fucking thing would start singing and it'd pull you right out of the moment.

I know, I was just comparing the main protagonist Riders from the past series to Gaim's overall henshin idea :lol

In the sound department Gaim is soooo kicking Wizards ass right now. Everytime I hear Barons trumpets I get goosebumps.

You guys over-think these henshins, because I never had these problems. And I'm the guy who thinks cosmetics companies are out to get us! :lol

While I won't make a comment about Wizard, I love Baron's trumpets! They're just so epic. And so nice to see that Gridon has them too.

I think, so far, Baron's henshin has the best voice.

Well it's been 5 episode, and I gave it time, so now I can feel confident in saying...Mai freaking annoys the crap out of me. She is such a headache.

Didn't expect to see 2 new Riders this episode, that was a pleasant surprise. Looks like Sid is working for Yggdrasil and has some discretion he can exercise. I can see that ending poorly.

Maybe she's written to purposefully be annoying and bitchy. Maybe if Ryugen bites it she'll get some character development.

I hope she gets some form of development. Because at the moment, I'd consider her the worst character.

Well, according to the Wiki for Gaim...Gaim, Kurokage, and Zangetsu are all Japanese influenced, so it makes sense. Baron and Griton are both European inspired, and Ryugen is Chinese.

Makes sense to me.

Maybe it's just me, but I really enjoy the "COME ON!" part of Barons, and Grittons henshins.

I like that Griton is listed as a viking.

Didn't see Gridon and Kurokage coming, until Jonouchi got handed an Acorn, anyway.

I know one of this series' goals was to break away from the "two-Rider" thing, but it almost seems like overkill introducing 7 Riders in 6 episodes.
Almost, mostly it's just awesome and exciting, like the show in general.

I can totally see Kurokage or Bravo ending up being Gaim's very own Scissors, though, too many Riders at once could easily lead to cluttered writing. But it does help the whole Warring States theme, I suppose.

Be cool if the end was indeed one big battle between all of the riders.

An amazing episode. Kouta's "deciding to be Gaim again" moments were well-played and you just felt like he had renewed energy as he broke through the ring and attacked Baron. And Michy looks to be a decent ally to Gaim, but no where near the same power.

You could say that this is the one instance where bringing a gun to a sword fight isn't all it's cracked up to be :lol

Well, the thing does fire grapes as a part of its finisher. It's a miracle that it's as lethal as it is.
