If the fruit could transform then the figures wouldn't be able to retain the aesthetic as coherently as they're presented in the show. Even in the show, after the fruit folds open it pushes inwards so that it's a tighter fit, and if they did manage to make it work in the Figuarts, something would have to be compromised. And of course future fruit armours may not work for the base figure, and once again, more compromises. As fun as the gimmick might be, I think it's better that they're not bothering with it for the Figuarts, especially since it allows the figures to maintain a better look than they would otherwise. Of course, this also means that Bandai can release all the armored forms as full Figuarts rather than just the fruits that turn into the armours like the cheaper alternative can.

I must have Baron and his mighty Banana Arms! Lol

For once the 'B-Line' of the toys is actually better...for me at least. Wizard's gimmick didn't really add anything to the Action Please line, but they were solid enough to make them a worthy option against the SHF line, until they made improvements with the Dragon Releases where they basically made the Action Please line redundant.
But since the AC allows you to actively utilise the in show gimmick and play around with all the Rider combinations, I can't really see the purpose of getting the SHFs unless doubling the price for slightly more detail and a bit more articulation is your thing. I still I'd still rather have fun using the show gimmick and for less money. |
Seeing as I'm gonna display Gaim more than actively play with him, I'd rather get the SHF.

I'm planning to get all the AC and SHF line of Gaim characters.

In the Figuarts case, I can very easily see how someone would value the appearance and superior articulation of Figuarts over the AC line. Especially if that person does not intend to collect every single armor and is fine with the base (Orange Arms) Gaim. |

I'll probably stick to just Gaim and his bike and AC everyone else. |
I like wise will probably get all the AC's for the fun swap and playablility but I much prefer the attention to detail the figuarts will have. So I'll get them as well.

Mine will be treated better than Den-O's, as they go in jewel cases, while Den-O's sit out in the elements where rabid Kentucky raccoon can get to them.

Woah man, those are the worst.
I'll just have to settle for looking at pics of the FiguTarts online. :lol :( |

See unlike Kicky here I have an entire room dedicated to toys. I own so many figures I'd have to buy at least 10 detolf cases at one time to make most of it fit. Once I have some free cash these bad boys and girls will be nice dust free detolfs :thumb: And the raccoons were only at my old apartment dude! Got none of that shit in my nice new house :D |
Clearer pictures are updated in the first post thanks TagHobby.com

Ah, so Gaim and Baron are coming out the same month? I guess that makes sense since they're coming out much later than the usual new series Rider does.
|
What is AC?
And yeah, not too pleased with them coming out in May as by then the show is nearing its final arc, plus, who knows if I'm even going to be watching the show still by then. |
