Personally, I'm most interested in hearing who the producer, writer, and director are. For me, those are going to make or break the season way more than the designs and gimmicks.

Agreed. But then, some people have proven they can be great writer and have a terrible series while others can be terrible but come up with a great series.

Just look at that Inoue guy. He has done great things with Agito, Kiva, Jetman and has done awful things like Decade, the second half to Hibiki, and Shougeki.

Even Kobayashi is a mixed bag (although, she tends to be more positive).

Unfortunately, next year's Sentai has fate stacked against it as every other Sentai series has been good ever since GekiRanger. Geki was good, Go-On was bad, Shinken was good, Gosei was bad, Gokai was good, Go-Buster was bad, and Kyoryuger is good.

True dat. I had a lot of high hopes for Kyoryuger given how much of its production team came from Kamen Rider W, but I ended up hating it. Still, if Naruhisa Arakawa gets announced as the writer I will be incredibly excited. I've loved everything that man has touched (Dekaranger, Kuuga, Akibaranger).

As far as head writers go, I wonder if they'll take a page from recent Kamen Rider series and mine a writer from a popular anime and/or manga series.

I'd love a fresh take on Sentai, along the lines of Kazuki Nakashima's Fourze and Gen Urobuchi's Gaim.

Heads up peeps. Dukemon is hitting the usual spots letting people know that the official reveals will indeed happen tonight. Current time in Japan is 8:42 AM. Supposedly the TV Asahi Press Event started at 8. So stick with us this evening as we (hopefully) bring you some concrete info.

While I don't think Kyoryuger is down right amazing, I definitely think the show has been great for the most part. It has been energetic, has a diverse cast of villains, and seems to be more story driven. The only problem is, Daigo is too perfect so he has had no character development, the villains are not doing anything to change up their diverse dynamic, and the filler has been medicre to down right terrible. Plus, I think they ran out of their budget because they just keep reusing previous monsters from earlier in the show.

But they're reusing them as a part of the plot....

I honestly couldn't be happier if Tokyuger goes in completely the opposite direction of Kyoryuger. More of those big cinematic fight scenes, please! But please mature the tone, it doesn't need to be GRIMDARK but Kyoryuger is just juvenile, even if I was sentai's target age I'd feel insulted by Kyoryuger and can we please have a more balanced team next time?

But they are using some of the same ones over. We have had the ice, meteor, and virus dude like 3 times so far.

Plus, they are using monsters from 5 episodes ago. And last week had a grunt for a monster. Talk about lazy.

I like all the trains.

But where's the freighter? I like those more than passenger trains!

The suit looks much better then the toy does,but it still doesnt feel right.

The ranger suits look a bit better now that the silver on them is more defined, but they still don't feel right. Maybe I'll change my tune once I see them in motion.

Tokkyu-Oh looks terrible in the show. That suit looks like a cardboard cos-play outfit. And the black lining that hides the actor is really noticeable. Plus, the toy's arms and the suit's arms are completely different. The hell?

As usual the more and better images I see, the more I love it. The suit for Tokkyu Oh looks really great and I've quickly warmed up to the Tokkyugers suits.

The suits still look cheap. Not retro, just cheap. Tokyo-Oh though looks better then the toy, so that's something. Still needs a damn waist though.

Hey, at least the waist area has more definition now. I think what you mean is you want it to have a belt or something.

I'll admit, it still looks a bit cheap, but I like Tokkyu-Oh well enough. Plus, I'd imagine it'll get more interesting with all new additions as the show progresses.

This whole sentai is looking to be the most eye-searingly colourful yet. I'll have to remember to break out the sunglasses when watching the first episode.

I should've been clearer :lol I meant the toy, the toy needs a belt. Something black or different colored so it's not all straight lines down the toy.

The suits I just don't like.

The suit actually looks pretty nice. I thought the promo images of the toy were mistransformed for a second but I guess it might look a little closer with a perspective change. But yeah, the suit is infinitely better looking. Still could have done with hands though.

It has made me more hopeful for the minipla. Elbows seem to really help the design so hopefully the minipla has them. They also sometimes tweak proportions slightly, so it has the potential to really look better than the DX. I'll wait and see though...

Still don't like the ranger suits. Here's to hoping they get a cool team upgrade =]

I look at the TokkyuOh suit and man it seems simplistic. Also, WhY mY SHoUldErS HuRt?
