I wouldn't mind the 5" scale- would almost prefer it- if not for the fact that it's out of scale with the season 1 figures. Oh well.

The problem wasn't the toys, it was the show. It just didn't catch anyone's attention from what I can see. Then again, I only tuned in at first to see that they traded Alpha 5 for Johnny 5

also doesn't help there is so much samurai stuff clogging the shelves, my stores never got the megaforce 4 inch figures, too much super samurai on the pegs

The fact is they sold like shit, regardless of reason. It's most likely a combination of factors. Factors could include (but not limited to): The show isn't as popular as Samurai, the designs suits being ugly, TMNT taking sales away as it gets bigger, and TRU having a 6-pack for half the price of buying them alone.

None of these things are based on the toys' quality. Quality normally has very little to do with it.

That's another factor. New scale (and probably price point) means new aisle layout that old toys won't be included in.

Could be the Megaforce figures didn't sell because you can't find them, and when you do find them all they have is Alata, and even then they're extremely overpriced.

Don't blame the toy sales on your opinion of the suits overall look when they are other factors to consider.

Still, the suit design (aka how the figures look) are always a major factor in these things.

And let's be honest, the Gosei suits aren't the prettiest around. :lol

Kids (and non-Gosei fans :p) just don't have the sense of Majesty and Wonder it takes to enjoy the Goseiger designs.

Ornate gold trim, bright white spandex on half the suit, embossed lips, it's sadly just not for everyone.

Huh, weird. The white on the costumes was one of the few things I actually liked about Megaforce.

Whoa whoa whoa, 80 bucks? That's a big jump from even the Megazord which I would have thought cost more to make. I guess they hate having this stuff warm on the shelf so they've built in the cost for units they expect won't sell.

I thought it was made illegal for gift cards to have expiry dates? Maybe that is just certain states but I would look into and maybe press the issue.

Dragonzord looks sweet. The tail obviously moves more than the original toy, but can the arms swing outward and stuff? On the original they could just move up and down.

The 4" figures look surprisingly good, not as roided out as I expected. I think the Gokaiger costumes help too.

Despite posting the news I realised I never commented on these :lol

The muscle-y look is a bit weird, but I think the fact they look really squat bothers me more about the male rangers. The girls however look great, and (although cheaper and less accurate) I'm sure in its own way Vekar will be just as good if not better than the Figuart :lol

I do really want the Dragonzord and Dagger, but if they'll be £80 each in the UK I can't see me getting them :/
