Btw, this episode rocks. Watermelon Arms, that's the vehicle Kamen Riders deserve to ride! Kouta, from now on you give Ryugen the lame dirt bike...at least until you get that horse. |
Another awesome episode down. Some great stuff here. Bravo being Bravo, DJ being evil, Suika being incredibly badass. The Suika/Melon armor is by far the best execution of the pseudo sentai mecha for riders concept I've ever seen. Way better than Power Dizer, Wizardragon, and all that.

For a brief moment, I thought it was going to be revealed that the DJ is actually Zangetsu's father, the head of Ygdrassil. Kind of disappointed it's not the case.

Really liked this episode. Bravo continueds to be awesome. He defeated the dynamic duo, but I figure they'll just cough up some more money and by more Acorn and Pinecone lockseeds from Sid. It's not exactly like those are in short supply.
Bravo's generally attitude about the Invess Games (despite not knowing anything about 'em) is pretty interesting as stated before. I like how he saw potential in Baron and gave him his lockseed back. Guess Baron's views on strength are reflected in his fighting style, which was enough to impress Oren. Okay, I figured the DJ would be in on the shady Yggdrasil stuff, but not that deep into the inner circle. I wonder how much power he exactly has since he doesn't seem at all phased by Zangetsu. Also interesting is the guy ranked above them all, though not much to say about him for a moment. but yeah, look's like Zangetsu's starting to fuck up. He'll probably confront Kouta about where he got the watermelon arms at some point. Speaking of Watermelon Arms, that was pretty awesome. Kinda weird how it can just be...sliced like that, but whatever. Nice to see a pretty fun tag team battle with Micchy and Kouta. |

It was a good episode but nothing happened. I thought Pierre was less annoyingly flamboyant and creepy this episode.I think we learn all of 3 things in this episode, non of which are the most shocking of revelations. 1 Pierre knows jack shit about this Invess game. When he drops the locks, I almost facepalmed. You have been in the military right? Well, maybe you should have studied the tactics of each rider and how the lockseeds work instead of going into battle with no knowledge. What solider goes in not knowing everything he can currently know in order to combat the enemy? 2 DJ dude is working with Yggdrasil. 3 Mai cares about asshole Baron and flamboyant Bravo but not nice Micchy. I also feel really bad for juice bar guy as he played Goro-chan, Kamen Rider Zolda's butler, in Ryuki and now he is in a series with the exact same premise LOL. |

Love to see how Bandai is gonna handle S.H. Figuarts Water Melon Arms
I want them to go FULL OUT with this line. The various fruit armors don't need perfect transformation, or even transformable at all - give us removable and swappable armor so I don't need to buy a million Gaims, but ALSO give us a separate fruit in fruit mode that can fit on the head for mid-transformation look. Give me a transformable Melon arms (Figuarts x Soul of Chogokin style!) The bikes I don't care if they transform, but partsforming into lockseeds would be awesome |

Bigger and Better sculpt + articulation, throw in some Tamashii stages too for the hell of it

Rewatched it with subs and I'm still totally in love with that episode.

I loved that freakin episode and I am such a fan of Oren Pierre Alfonso.
I almost died laughing during the fight between him and Team Gaim. That Guy is just hilarious. |
Man, I am so in love with this show that I watch this before any other Toku show. The fight between Bravo and Gaim was interesting, and it shows that Gaim can hold himself well in a fight, abeit with a much superior armor. I wonder if Takatora will now know who stole his lock seed since the watermelon shows up with his kid brother. Also we are getting more info regarding the inner working of Yggdrasil Corp, which is nice. It's no secret that they are conducting some kind of experiment with the drivers so it's only a matter of time before we'll know what the experiments are for.
And after initially swearing not to get into AC line, I have just purchased two of them from AmiAmi. The armor switching gimmick is too hard to resist. Damn you Gaim. |
I don't think Takatora knows that Micchy is Ryugen, as he blew off the report from Sid, and I doubt he pays attention to what his evil corrupt DJ is doing.
|
With this episode, Im really tempted to buy the DX Suika Arms from AmiAmi :lol
|
Voting a 5 for this show is pretty much obligatory now :lol
So much great stuff here, but one of my favourite bits was seeing that the Beat Rider guy is part of Yggdrasil. VERY interested to see where that goes. And yup, I need Watermelon arms now. |
There's a poster in the background of the Bravo/Gaim/Ryugen fight that's all in English. It states:
"WE - right side - Trust men and they will be true to you. Trust them greatly. They will show (can't read) greatly. - left side - Peace is not a relationship of nations. It is a (???) of men (??????????). It is also a state of (?????????) Camera seems to focus on it at the start of the fight while Gaim talks to Bravo. |
So….anyone care to take a guess how Kouta pilots the Watermelon Arms in Melon Mode and not get motion sickness? :lol

Come on! Hamster Arms! Knight of Rolling! |
Probably the best episode of the show thus far!! This episode was nothing short of brilliance as it was funny, it had drama in it, and some nice character development.

My thoughts on the last two episodes:
I didn't like Bravo/Alfonso to start with: he just seemed like a douche, but I've rewatched the episodes a couple of times, and he's grown on me. I still don't like him; he trying to impose "super evil" rules on what's supposed to be amateur fights. Also, he's a theif. Nuff said, but I don't hate him anymore. Mainly coz he handed Kaito's ass to him on a platter. Also, Gridon/Cornac(Meh.) joins Michhy as my favourite riders of the series. And the theme song is pretty good, meaning freaking badass. |
I have to say, baron is my least favorite charter. And trying to sell him a a Fighter on top of the weird cross dressing thing is just wrong. I have high hope for this show. Pick up the pace already!
Although watermelon is awsome! |

Also, "Nuff said" is possibly the worst thing anyone can say. Quote:
And why, exactly, can't gays/metros be fighters? |
This show just continues to impress. I didn't expect DJ Sagara to be in on the Lock Seed/Driver plot, and especially in a role where he seems to have more influence than Takatora. Oren/Bravo definitely proves to be a be a threat. He takes out Kurokage and Gridon without even trying, downs Baron and three Invess monsters with ease, and chances are he might have beat Gaim and Ryugen as well if he hadn't let all those Invess monsters out. His igrorance of the Invess game is also a big threat because if Kouta and Micchy weren't around people could have been killed by just dropping all of those Lock Seeds. And the debut of Watermelon was neat. Can't wait for episode 8, because Mango Arms looks great.
