Though the blurry hero in the corner lends me to believe someone tried to pass it off as an actual reveal... |

So glad im not a role play accessory collector, i kind of liked the Gaburevolver thing (not the dancing, although Torin's air guitar was funny), but this looks a bit weird to me. Are they going to fight while wearing these things? Cant see fights lasting long when they have an almighty club on their arms.
Tokkyuoh seems like it has appeal, im betting as the series goes on the additional vehicles will be more fantastical. Im hoping the relative simplicity of the look means there will be money in the budget for plenty of auxiliaries. Right now im not in for these, looks like i walked away from sentai mecha at the right time, but the suits are not the worst ive ever seen, kind of goofy and im sure i'll nab the figuarts some day but ive just gone mental over a toyline involving fruit armour so im not a good judge of what i will or wont waste money on. |
Concept artists are at it again! This could be the next combo form:

I am also unimpressed with the Tokkyuger line thus far. I will buy thechanger an X Tokkyuoh for completion sake, but thus far I doubt I'll go further then that.

I doubt thats how its gonna look though. His drawings for Kyoryuger were not accurate at all 90 percent of the time. |

Plezuon and Raiden Kyoryuzin were the only ones that kinda looked like what was in the Show. All the other Combos werent even close.
His Gokaiger drawings back then were much more accurate most of the time. |
I don't like how simplistic the stylings have been getting. Like kyoryuger's mecha had to really grow on me and I doubt I'll get the BOJ versions. Gokai-Oh and Gosei Great are examples of how I like my mecha @_@ The train looks so oddly proportioned.

I really wanna know how TokkyuOh looks from a side view. I could see myself liking it if its not too flat.
|
Not being a huge toy collector but I admire how they are integrating the individual train robos into the roleplay toys instead of the other way around with Kyoryuger. I felt kyroyujin was hurt a lot but those stupid battery ports that stuck out and it being so stupidly massive to accomidate the electronic gimmick.(If you can't tell I hate Kyroyuger) I expect roleplay toys to be intresting and look super odd to accomidate gimmicks but I have a very defined line when it comes to the mecha.

I still think the two best mecha in the whole franchise are Dragon Star Lord and Buster Ace. Dragon Star Lord because he was beautifully streamlined, and didn't have all that boxy, flappy crap that dominated the mechs at the time. And Ace simply because he actually looks like a proper giant robot.
But to be honest with you, I think the earlier the robo the better the design, I actually really like the old boxy designs because at least they weren't just sticking random crap onto the designs wherever they could fit it to simply sell toys. The first decade or so of sentai mechs actually look like robots. |

This is just my opinion, but I guess one of the things I really like about TokkyuOh is that it feels like a robot to me. Even the awkward proportions feel like something humans did their best to accommodate in designing. |

I'll...just wait for the next train thank you...

I wont be able to afford the dx mecha most likely but i will definetly try to get the candy toys. I really love the almost showa-era mech look it has.

I am going to be getting TokkyuOh. I may also get the other trains if they are going to be as easy to get as the Jyudenryu. I am going to have to see how the changer works before I decide if I want it. Probably not going to get the weapons.
