Here come the good stuff, until now I really enjoy the show but was a bit disappointed by the "breakdance is serious business" nonsense at each episode.

Now I'm thinking about Mai blonde doppelganger...Is she some kind of advanced bishoujo Invess ? Is Mai human to start with ? Did her human counterpart ate a fruit in the past ? All she told to banana guy, was it a beautiful desillusion ? Are the cracks the reason Yggdrasil originally take control of the town, because they happen there ?

Good episode. I'm liking that we're getting to see more of Zangetsu. That bit at the end with him and the lab monkey, that gave me a ton of Faiz flashbacks.

Unless said flashbacks involve the ending. In which case, I would agree to an extent.

No, not at all. It just reminded me a lot of the lab where the Faiz, Kaixa, and Delta Gears were created. I kind of liked that, actually.

Finally got around to watching this episode and it's still as funny and dramatic as ever. I laughed out loud when Kouta was interrogating that old lady all decked out as Gaim. And the fruit trap...hilarious. But like everyone else, I'm enjoying learning a little bit more about Zangetsu and theorizing what Yggdrasill has to do with Helheim, the Invess, and the Riders....The next episode can't come soon enough.

I have yet to see a KR show with character development as good as Gaim. The cast may be big, yet most of the characters have been fleshed out pretty well. As a result I don't have one character that I am not interested in. Good job writers.

Gaim is unnaturally good.

We're nine episodes in and it's hit it's stride and kept going solid when most shows usually take sixteen or so.

Yeah, it feels like they're using "Tons of Riders!" as a reason to have really deep characters, instead of as an excuse to only give a couple characters if any actual depth. I think Kouta is one of the best everyman-type characters I've ever seen anywhere, let alone Kamen Rider.

And as much as I love Wizard (hint: a lot), it is pretty nice to watch a Rider show that isn't just wasting my time with even-numbered episodes. I actually kinda wonder if the show's got a bigger budget than usual, there's been a LOT of action and characters hanging around transformed compared to ... every Rider show ever, basically.

Another good episode. Granted, it focused on a MOTW story but I overall liked it.

Huh? People are saying eating the fruit turns you into an Invess? I must have missed that. I watched the entire episode and the only part that suggests it is the factory guy at the beginning. I presumed Yuuya in episode 1 was killed by that Lizard Invess that Kouta defeated but he's Yuuya, I guess? I don't know how this really changes anything besides your perspective of what would have happened to the people if they ate the Helihem fruit.

There's actually quite a bit of story in this episode for being more of a one off. Obviously Zangetsu talking to Ryoma Sengoku, talking vaguely about the Genesis driver or even the energy lockseeds.

I am interested to see why Yggdrasil is killing those baby state Invess and burning the fruit. Kota says its because its the scene of a crime but I think its more then that. Also, Zangetsu and his cleanup crew can track down and manage Riders and baby Invess but they did nothing about the Fruit bat Invess. Are they keeping it alive for a reason or do they just not know? I heard a really good prediction that the reason why Yggdrasil came to this town was because the cracks appear there.

It doesn't just suggest that, it rather heavy-handedly implied, what with the monster being covered in the exact same clothes as the worker.

It means Gaim's been murdering innocent people?

I knew the invess/human thing would pan out. It adds the deep dark layer to this show Urobutchi has teased in the past. Now for Gaim to find out what he's been doing to people :D

Kind of like how Kamen Rider Wizard murders innocent dead people (AKA Phantoms)?

Yeah not really. The Phantoms weren't those people anymore. Phantoms lived inside humans with magical potential until they fell into such deep despair that the human dies. This leaves their body as a dead husk for Phantoms to inhabit and walk among humans. They aren't human at all at that point, just pretending to be.

Invess are literally poor unsuspecting humans who've eaten Helheim fruit and become the monsters.They're still deep down in there. So this is an entirely different thing. People who've been mutated into creatures with only the most basic of urges. Whereas Phantoms were completely independent thinking creatures with wills of their own. It's monsters that replace humans entirely vs humans who are forced into becoming mindless creatures.

i just looked up Helheim in norse mythology and its the land of the dead. So now I believe you guys.

Very funny and very good. Glad to be getting somewhere with the story. Cant wait for next week.

Absolutely loved this episode, Micchy is so intelligent and awesome. Loved Kouta and that the series is moving on to becoming more Kamen Rider-ish. Great to see both Kouta and Micchy's reactions to Zangetsu. Also great to see more of Yggdrasil.

So, is Wil. E Coyote writing for this show on the side? First we have Kouta driving off the cliff, now we have "Free Bird Seed" esque trap with the fruit while they hide in the garbage cans and bushes. I can't complain, I love this stuff :lol. And I'm digging the twist the the more advanced Invess are people who ate the fruit.

Gaim continues to grow on me. I love how the balance of goofy and serious has been handled so far and it helps the series entertain on several levels. But, as awesome as the episode was, the brief snippet of Date Akira in the movie scenes at the end was the icing on the cake for me. (Also, seeing Ryu and Akiko was nice, too.) The film might well be awful, but returning characters outside of suits makes me stupidly happy.
