Magi dragon is pretty awesome, but I wish his wings were bigger.

Still would have loved if Tamashii Nations made the aux parts like the Magi Dragon for the SRC GokaiOh, we were teased with some at one of their shows but just never happened

IMO this is the worst combo of the DX. I'm also biased because Magiking is my favorite DX toy. The BoA version is an improvement, but still.. Plus wings out of the fronts of GokaiOh's shoulders always looked silly to me.

I don't know how to feel. I mean, I like the idea, but I don't like the idea of a magic xenomorph popping into my giant pirate-robot. it really screws with one's day(telling from experience).

are Magiranger/mystic force any good? the costumes REALLY turn me off to wanting to coatch either one, though the mecha are pretty cool

This probably the first time I've seen this up close. I missed a lot of the detail the DX BoJ has, not bad! When it comes to these types of toys that have a BoA version, if it's not exactly an add-on toy or Zord I like, the Americsn version will do. I always like supporting the PR line as much as I'm able by picking up the stuff I really like.

It's an interesting dragon, but for the most part is underwheling design wise. I agree with those saying the BoA version looks better. Mystic Force is one of the few PR shows I missed that I'd like to watch some day. Too bad it apparently won't be released on it's own. Just in that box set. Though it might be for the better. If I were to become a big fan of it, I would start looking into trying to get the Megazord... which I can't imagine being fun, or reasonably priced...

While I love Gokai-oh himself, the add-on zords were definitely hit or miss I think. I was never into Mystic Force, but I always dug the zords from it. And this just..doesn't quite hold up to that IMO.

Need all of these.

For the sake of the gimmick I can see why they reduced it but part of what made MagiKing impressive was the wingspan. I liked Patstriker a bit better but the other power ups worked better (at least for me) cause the designs overtook Gokaioh, a true form change.

An interesting add on, a little funky looking though.

This is without a doubt one of the silliest looking pieces I've ever seen, either Japanese or American.

Magi Dragon looks really cool, but, like most people have said the wings are a tad too small, it sort of makes it less intimidating which for me shouldn't happen when it is a dragon.

I can only imagine if BoA does this guy, how butchered it'll be.

Eh, it could be worse. Neutered gimmick but the proportions are a bit nicer, it just a shame he has almost no paints apps whatsoever.

Wow. I didn't even notice that BoA had a version already made. O_o It looks a lot more 'bland' for sure compared to the Japanese version.

I will agree that the BoA versions of stuff tend to have better proportions, but it'd be nice if there was an in-between... The great features of the Japanese versions with the better proportions of the American ones.

Outside of the wings, I always thought that the Magi Gokai-oh was one of the combos that BoJ got right. It's not my favorite, but I can't say it is one of the forms I never display. Plus, when not with Gokai-oh, you get a little pirate dragon to display and who can say no to that. He also only goes for 1000-1500 yen.

I kind of want this, if only to end up with a complete Gokai-Oh. Honestly, I have little interest in the gimmick, I just want to display all the supplemental mechs together. For that reason I wish it wasn't so stumpy in legs and wings. I understand why it needs to be designed that way though. I'll grab it, but it's pretty low on my list of Gokai-Oh add-on parts.

For being the first of Gokai-Oh's Legend add ons Magi Dragon's not bad but the later additions are somewhat better than him. Still he is a red dragon and he's different enough from the first MD that he stands out more than some of the others, the Go Onger add on notwithstanding.

But what I'll remember most about Magi Dragon is a review on YouTube that made him Mr. Burns. :D

It looks alright. The P.A.T. STriker is still one of my faves, along with the Gao Lion.

It's the coolest power-up in the series, too bad it was overused in the beginning of the series and forgotten for the rest of it.

For me Magi Dragon is the weakest of the Aux Mecha in Gokaiger. The arms and legs look fine when combined but the chest...oh god the chest.

That's what made me hate this toy, Why couldn't they make it more show accurate.

I guess it's because the show cheats with CGI to give it that wingspan and size. No toy can fit all that dragon into the body, it's physically impossible.

It's not, actually. It would just require the head being able to fold and deconstruct.
It would make it ugly as hell, incredibly complex (And we can't have Gokai toys be anywhere near complex), and much less show accurate due to the panel lines that it would cause, but impossible? Far from it.

I dont know I just dont think Im in love with the Combined forms of this zord. Love magi dragon separate though :/

DX Gokai-Oh looks pretty sweet, but some of the auxiliary mechs just don't work for it. Looked good in the show, just not on the toy.

I'm still baffled by why it's so red, the one colour that the original Magidragon wasn't so much.

So much? Aside from some on it's head, did Magidragon have ANY red whatsoever?
