This is exciting news. Not only do I love Akibaranger, it is just about the best thing when it comes ot kick starting older Sentai getting Figuarts and that makes me happy.

I wish Akibaranger were a definite, yearly phenomenon, like Sentai and Kamen Rider. The 13 episode arcs they give us are never enough. I fully support a season 3 though. I cannot wait. I hope all goes well. It's about time they introduced a new ranger.

Maybe we can finally get those Malshina and Aoi Figuarts...and finish Boukenger and Jetman... :/

Kinda hope this leads to a fourth season, would be nice for them to get the same number of episodes, more or less, as an official sentai.

Hopefully as people have said this will kick start other figuarts teams too.

I'd love to see them doing an arc on 6th members leading to the release of the missing ones like bouken silver and the 2 busters plug the gaps for a good reason.

That would be awesome, and I can kinda see it happening. The show was really unpopular, but the toyline was a huge hit. I can see Bandai trying to recapture some of that.

No. I don't think so. You seem to be missing the point that there would be hardly any usable footage at all for the US. From the sexy purple haired villainess, the gratuitous hero panty shots and cosplay, the very adult themed and sometimes creepy characters, the whole otaku cultur exemplified by things like nudie peel back DVD cases from Season 1. This show is for the adult sentai fan. I can't see any reasonable way a Power Ranger adaptaion could be made that wouldn't be an utter train wreck. How would they even explain something as common place i nthat show as an anime school girl that transforms you into a hero?

I just can't see it happening. And it would legally be bound to Saban because of the footage featuring Legend Sentai characters. This show could only survive a US release as a dub or official sub. I don't see a feasible way that it could be reshot very easily.

Rather than have a U.S. adaption of Akibaranger made as some have asked here, how about just a release of the show on DVD to U.S. with subtitles. I'd like to see the show in its entirety.

I can live with that. And who better to release it than Shout! Factory, the DVD manufacturer that's releasing all the other seasons?

I always thought that they should've had some new members. Do what the official three-man teams do and get another two folks in there, y'know?

So you are saying it takes over a year to do one 13 episode show? I'm pretty sure AkibaRanger S2 did not start being worked on until Jan of this year and was out in April.

The show is ins't even in production yet dude. It's still being negotiated. They have literally nothing to do right now other than negotiate what they want to do with Toei. After season 2 there wasn't even a clear indication a season 3 would happen, until literally yesterday. It takes time to negotiate these deals. And if they're still negotiating then there's no way they could get it ready to go by April. So instead they probably shoot for an April 2015 release date to go in line with the releases of the first two seasons.

If they were filming it literally right now, then yes, it would be able to be released in April. But they aren't anywhere near that point yet.

I'm going to speculate what teams we might be getting. Or, I hope we're getting.
