Until the subs come out, please avoid spoilers by using the [ spoiler ] and [/ spoiler ] tags.

You know what I noticed? Sigurd's Cherry Energy Lock Seed's beat. It's all preppy, sounds like hip hop. After finding out his identity, it makes total sense. He's the one who pretty much enabled the Beat Riders to use the Inves. Why not have the person "closest" to the Beat Riders have a beat that makes us think of them?

Would have expected subs by now. The hell Aesir?

Subs are up.
Edit: And this season just keeps on topping itself. It manages to feel like it is in a constant state of end-game scenarios and I love that about it. Some "big" reveals, despite basically being things we all already knew or figured out because..well they were incredibly obvious even from the start (such as Yuya's fate), but it definitely amps things up and sets up some big moments later (again as has been mentioned with Micchy having some very powerful leverage against Kouta, something he could use to just completely destroy him). I am loving the energy riders too, cannot wait to see more of them next week. |
The problem with this season far is that the poll need a new entry :
- 6 f***ing bombastic |
Daaaamn... Wonder how long Micchy's going to hold this new bit of info over Kouta?
I know it all seemed likely but I was still denying it until that scene... it's just so morbid to have killed your best friend and not know it. I am loving this show so much more than I anticipated. |
Bloody hell, I'm beginning to hate this show because it makes me WAIT ONE WEEK EACH TIME!
Seriously that was an intense episode. I don't know how they keep this momentum up but I hope it doesn't die out. Incidentally: http://imageshack.com/a/img21/337/0r7k.jpg Never seen such a high approval rating before. |
Did no one seriously not notice the girl that works in the fruit bar just pulling out a broom when Hase transformed there?

Maaaaaan, even knowing a few spoilers going into this episode…I still found myself on the edge of my seat. Holy shit!
And I just realized what cleaver and horrible play on words Sid's name is… |

They say SHEEDO Which sounds an awful lot like Seed. |
Ahhhhhhhh, okay. That's what you mean. I've already forgotten about that.
|
This episode just left me with a big "WTF!" in my head and I like that with the show right now. :D
|
Damn, another great episode. Gaim just keeps chugging along.
|
So, uh, so much for the spoilers about not-Mai a few back, huh? About her having saved Yuuya and Baron, and Giam saves Hase?
|
Wow, just wow. I don't no where to begin =, but Mitchi's reaction to Yuya seems like he is going to hold a grudge towards Kota in some way

Ahhh, my head. Watching this with subs was almost worse than watching the raw, despite having talked so much about it already. Cried my eyes out again... whoa.
|
This was so good it feels almost redundant saying the best episode yet because I seem to be saying that every week. This show just gets better and better.
As someone familiar with Urobuchi's previous works I don't feel that a lot of the twists were particularly unexpected, I'm just blown away by the fact he's able to continue his modus operandi in a kids show. It's great to see Sigurd is actually Sid - he's already proven to be one of my favourite characters and I've been secretly hoping he'd become a rider. Didn't expect it to actually happen though. REALLY looking forward to seeing how Micchy is going to use his newfound info/leverage. |
Kouta why didn't you fight?! Why did you just roll about in the water, as Hase was getting killed?! After everything this episode, that was just pathetic!
Meh, I don't care much either way. I didn't know Yuuya or Hase, so my emotional investment in the whole situation is only that of a base natural human to human compassion level. I think Butcher handled his characters so much better in Madoka, and that series was only short. Actionwise it was once again a fairly weak effort. Hase's Invess form was really obviously a costume, and when they look that cheap it pulls you out of the whole thing. That said the arrival of the Four Energy Riders was extremely badass. I know this was a crucial turning point of the series, but I also think it was one of the weakest as well. |
So then, is Kurokage like the new ZECT Trooper or something?

Cool episode. I was half-busy when watching it, so I may need to watch it again to make sure I didn't miss anything. Normally spoilers don't bother me too much, but I sorta wish I hadn't read this ep's beforehand. Still didn't bother me too much.
I'm happy that we'll be seeing more of how Yggdrassil Corp. operates wiht this and presumably the next few episodes. Interested to see what Micchy does with this news too. Knowing that it was Yuuya he killed in his first battle on top of what happened to Hase might crush Kouta's desire to fight. At least against the Invess. Sid was my guess as to who Sigurd was from the start. But I was always hoping he'd become a villainous rider anyway. When they'd covered up Sigurd's identity at first, I wasn't sure. I dunno how that led to people thinking Hase wold be Sigurd though, I really don't. Well there's certainly no confusion now... Hase might've not been the most important character, but he's serves to Kouta as the first person he personally knew (that he recognized) that had turned into an Invess. I wonder how he'll fight them in the future, especially if he finds out what happened to Yuuya. Sid'll make a pretty cool villain, I think. He defintiely has ulterior motives related to the forest, I think. Takatora is probably the only Yggdrassil officer/Energy Rider who actually believes he's doing soemthing for the greater good. Can't wait to see more of Sengoku as Duke and be introduced to Marika. In the preview for the next ep she's seen beating up Kaito, I wonder if there's a reason or if she's just kinda sadistic. Also interesting next ep is DJ Sagara having a chat with Kouta. Wonder what that's about...? |

The last words Sid said to Kouta right after he killed Hase...man he is really enjoying the whole killing part isnt he? :lol
The fact that Sid killed him gave me the creeps when you think about that he was the one that gave Hase the Driver in the first place. |
And it was Micchi who brought Hase to Helheim where he fought Zangetsu who destroyed his driver.
And Jonouchi dumped Hase when he needed him the most... Onore, half of the main cast! |
I guess after Sid spent so long giving everyone else the chance to be a Rider, he was just happy to finally put the shoes on himself. Especially as he got to skip the prototype stage and go right to the real deal.

So the scene with Miichi sneaking around the base.
Was I the only one who thought Metal Gear Solid? |

Even the music they used for that scene sounded like something from a Metal Gear game. |

My goodness. I spoiled myself beforehand but seeing how everything played out onscreen was still awesome.
If they are getting at the Apple = Forbidden Fruit thing, I like how they're subtlety working it in. Hase is now the second human turned Invess that tried to eat an apple first out of all the other 'human' fruit in front of it. Also, are we being led to believe that all the 'basic' Invess in Helheim are animals from the 'Human World' side of the rips that wandered over and ate the fruit? If so, it makes even more sense then that the more 'evolved' Invess come from the more 'evolved' creatures; humans. |

I was wondering who was the *1* person who voted "2"... well I was just "daaaamn" the whole episode...Now one thing I wonder Kota was struck by Hase while unarmored...isn't that how the people in the hospital got infected? So is he now going to explode in leaves? Den-O, check your crystal ball on that... |

If you click the number, you'll see my name there, I have no qualms.

Oh man that episode was heavy and it looks like things are about to get even worse. I also think Rat's going to end up an Invess or at least growing leaves like the other hospital patients. I do wonder if all the Invess that have been seen so far are humans/rats/other creatures or if they're a native species to Helheim.
