Well that was lifeless. I sort of understand why they wouldn't want to scream (Because kids might be frightened, according to Saban and Nick) but more passion wouldn't hurt.

How, Sad!
Okay, I also have to agree with everyone else on this. Way too much gum-flapping during the morph. It would have been better to at least hear Gosei's voice like we have been. That would have made this bareable. Also, the others are right. The kanji during the Wild Force change is left over (which Saban's crew should have noted and fixed; that kanji was excised from Wild Force; no care for continuity here anymore). And the morph does seem to correspond to the Gokaiger Ep. 2 change, which begs the question, are we going to get two monsters (Action Commanders) during the debut or just one? The lack of imagination is just one of the many factors that is killing this. Perhaps the writing/acting for the Empire's core members are better than this. Maybe we'll see some original footage of Vrak and Vekar. The original scenes of Vrak and Metal Alice were beautifully done.

It's funny right, I didn't have my headphones plugged in and I assumed as it was a twenty second clip I wouldn't need to plug them in to appreciate the clip. Then I proceed to read an entire thread bitching about the dialogue and shouting :lol I feel like I need to rewatch the clip with my headphones in, but I really don't wanna!
In terms of the footage, meh. Given how ridiculous some of the morphs have been over the years (remember how in Dino Thunder they leaped like sixty foot in the air, before crashing to Earth as a volcano erupted? Fuck yeah!) this real time transformation stuff felt fairly unexciting, especially as it seemed awkwardly edited together so it didn't even look like the smooth, convincing transformations of Rider or whoever. |

The current shows can't use that excuse anymore. Gokaiger and Goseiger were done by the time Megaforce was planned. |
The thing that bothers me the most is that these ADR are SO OBVIOUS, I really needed the actor to emote more to reflect what's on screen, at least have the actors watch the original show to match the emotions!

I think this might be an isolated exaple. I have a felling that we will get the team names (mabey the team phrase) after this. I think this was a speical red ranger mode morph and the others will not be as such.
Dont F*&^ this up saban. Pleease dont F%*^ this up. |
i understand saban wants everything to do with toys with sm but at least make it fun instead of making it difficult, when they take out their keys at least shout out your key team names before they morph so kids that's watching the show with their legendary morpher know what keys that are using.
that's what i hated in gokaiger, they didnt say they name of the keys like before they transformed, im hoping they correct it in sm. |

im not talking about morphers, im talking about the keys themselves. lets say if you watching sm with your legendary morpher, they say on the show let's use the ninja storm keys since they are out now in toy form, you find your toy ninja storm key, they morph and you morph at the same time like doing the morphing gestures. it's just a way for kids that know what keys the rangers are using next while they are watching sm with their legendary morpher toy. |

Call me the odd one out but since the entirety of Power Rangers is on Netflix I'm gonna make a prediction that most kids who watch Super Megaforce will know who the rangers are changing into and I think secretly that's what Saban is riding on. Though I have to agree with the guy on the last page who said this was an isolated event cause this is most likely from episode 1 and the rangers are testing out the keys. |

Still, I don't think kids will really know who the Rangers are. Netflix doesn't have that big a reach as we'd like to think, not even in the US, let alone the rest of the world where it's frequently unavailable. But maybe it doesn't matter as long as the Rangers look cool and distinct. :) |
Perhaps the biggest irony, is despite Saban bitterly shafting the Disney Era, if kids are likely to recognise ANY Rangers, it's going to be Mystic Force, OO, Jungle Fury, RPM. All DISNEY seasons as they are the latest iterations, other than Samurai and Megaforce. I'm pretty sure any children old enough to remember the seasons before Mystic Force - as they aired I mean - is in that "I'm too old for kids stuff" period of our teen years. So if this is the first, and last time, we see the suits used in this clip, goodbye child audience.
The sad reality is, kids don't care about MMPR or old Saban nearly as much as Saban does. And although Saban is ringing MMPR for all its worth, it still isn't getting in touch with its older fans like it thinks it is, as we don't have as much nostalgia for MMPR as Saban does either. Minus casual Ranger fans, it seems a pretty firm consensus from more diehard watchers that we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for MMPR but it also kinda sucks, and not in the good way. Saban is basically using Super Megaforce to blow its own trumpet, rather than celebrate the franchise, and the only person who wants to hear the tune is Saban themselves. |

what still bothers me about the super modes is that bandai didnt release a gosei morpher because if they are doing the triple transforming stuff for the next 20 episodes, at least for new viewers that they didnt see megaforce, bandai should rerelease the gosei morpher. i mean it is a super mode just like super samurai and bandai rereleased a second samurizer in super samurai. so bandai should do the same to super megaforce, not unless the writers changed it. |
