They should totally make an Orren Arms.
Like, just make it a big version of his head, that folds into army getup or something. |
This was a pretty good episode, not my favorite but still good. I just love the twists that are just so simple but work so well into the story, Ahhh I don't want the writer(Gen?) to ever leave!
Now something I found out yesterday was that the actress that plays Marika is also the suit actress so that is really really neat in my opinion. Now the previews for next week look like we are getting Pine arms again! Since I actually really missed it. |
One thing I wanna know is: Where did that pot that hit Jonouchi on the head come from? :lol

Another great episode. Really starting to wonder who's gonna hurt the most when the truth of all Yggdrasil's background scheming comes to life.
Also, is this the first we've heard that Energy LockSeeds are Class "S?" That's higher than all the Seeds used by Armored Riders; proving once again that the Genesis Driver is capable of new levels of strength. |
Micchy is one manipulative bastard anyway. So is Ryoma for that matter. I kind of agree with his statement that Micchy may be smarter than Takatora, since everyone within Yggrassil always seem to pull one over on him, though that may be because he's so focused on his goal.
Micchy's conflict between not wanting to betray his friends and his duty to Yggdrassil was pretty neat to see. Judging form also week's preview I wans't sure how the fight between him, Gaim and Marika was going to be resolved, but I'm glad it ended the way it did. Glad to see Oren again after a while. Glad he doesn't put his status as Yggdrassil's mercenary over his honor as a pastry chef. I had the biggest grin during that whole fake lockseed scene. Where did he even have the time to make and record the sounds for that?! Marika's pretty awesome.I liked the fact that she was just kind of testing Micchy the whole time. Wish we could have more fight scenes with her. Although her smashing Gaim through the ground and into the lower floor was pretty awesome. As was Gaim shooting Oren out of a window and on top of that car. I dunno what it is, but I've always liked action scenes in which someone ends up crashing atop a car. Next week, it looks like Knuckle appears and I can't wait 'cause I really like that design! Quote:

Wow...what an AWESOME Episode.
I cant think of a single thing I disliked about it. Marika is so unbelievably Bad Ass and her fight against Kouta gets even more epic when you remember that her actress does all of her in suit stuntwork. And of course...the absolute highlight was the Oren Pierre Alfonzo Lock Seed. I crack up every time I see that scene. |
Just noticed Gridon and Bravo both have "final" Sengoku drivers, with silver straps, verses the yellow "prototype" strap.

What worries me about this is the possibility of very minorly different releases of the SHF's for these guys. Just with different color belts. Talk about trying to cash in but even I'm not sure I could compel myself to buy something with that small a difference. |

Such a clever way of showing a difference. Silver is official, industrial. Yellow typically reminds of safety and caution, as they're untested.
|
I want to know how Orren made that Lock Seed.

Or he just bribed Sid. |
Other than Kota, there is almost no telling who is truly good or evil and that is what I love about this juicy show
|
Something else I wanted to point out.
Anybody else get a vague Death Note-ish "L" vibe when Micchy is talking to Kouta through the phone with the deep voice? Obviously it's been done before but it was just the first thing that came to mind. |
Regarding next week's preview, thought I'd say this. It's no coincidence that Knuckle looks like a cross between Kurokage and Gridon, it makes sense, since their respective Lock Seeds are Class C (Matsubokkuri) and Class B (Donguri) respectively, while the Kurumi Lock Seed is a Class C+.
|
Damn. Micchy you are one glorious bastard.
|
Another thing I really liked about the Episode was Oren reminding Kouta that none of the other Beat Riders have managed to beat him without help.

Oh man, is this what I've been missing out on by not watching any Kamen Rider series?! Haha.
Also, I think I might be developing a fancy for Kouta's sister XD. We've never seen much of her before. Lol |

Gaim, Wizard, Fourze, OOO, W... Are you trying to say Kiva was as good as Gaim? |
All I take from this episode- Micchy is one conniving, smart, thoughtful bastard. I kept thinkin I was watchin Death Note and Light Yagami with all the behind the scenes Micchy was doing. Minato/Marika, she isnt that bad lookin or a fighter :lol

Or is that "not Kamen Rider good" some kind of elitist "any show after Kabuto isn't REAL Kamen Rider?" Because I hope not. |

http://static1.wikia.nocookie.net/__...M_Calendar.jpg (It also has Ibuki, Gamel, Shizuka from Kiva and other actors appearing in minor roles in both Sentai and Rider. The Sailor Moon musicals also have quite a bunch of Toku actors....) |
Well played Oren. Way to ruin his plan with... however the hell you did that. But still, it's nice to see Mitchy's Dark side cross with his loyalty, and I think Ryouma is quickly on his way to becoming my favourite character. Especially with Duke debuting next week. I may have to start pre-ordering his AC now if I want a chance of receiving it before it goes out of stock
|
Who else demands and arm's change Oren Arms? I want a frying pan to throw at my riders!

Just got around to watching it; I've been inexplicably uninspired to watch this episode (and yet I've watched two of Magiranger, a show that isn't even fit to be mentioned in the same thread with anything even half as good as Gaim). I think I figured out my dawdling, though: I really want to marathon this show. Gaim has a plot structure very similar to the early Heisei stuff and I watched most of those (Agito, Ryuki, Faiz, Blade) mostly in sittings of 2-4 episodes at a time. Watching a show like this just once a week is a lot harder.
But yeah, good episode. Poor Micchy is definitely going to a dark place. Oddly, when I first saw the suits for this season and we kept getting early information about all the characters, I assumed Ryugen was going to be pretty minor. Turns out he's the show's most complex and compelling character at this point. I am really, really curious to see where this goes with him stuck in the middle between Kouta, Takatora(bata), and Aguri... er, Ryouma. Also god damn, how awesome is Marika? |
You know, for an episode headling Marika's official debut, Mitchy was the real headline. He's doing such a good puppeter act right now. Working with Yggdrasil, but using Ryouma to let him do as he pleases at the moment and at the same time perserving his friendship with Kouta and Mai for just a little bit longer. That being said, I expect his working both sides while blow up in his face spectacularly because that's what happens when you trying both sides like that. Minato was fairly impressive in this episode, and her fight with Kouta was really good. But the real show stealer was Oren's fake Acorn Lock Seed :lol.
