Eh I don't feel like they should skip seasons, but at the same time... if Go-Busters didn't do well it's not likely the adaptation could do any better and regardless of the series being adapted, if it means it gets a proper full season, that's good enough in my eyes.

Ok,then what about the other facts? Would Saban skip or reorganize the sentai timeline? They never have before,and it mentions one bounty hunter.Last sentai series I know of that had one enemy was Gobusters.

I'm just saying that this is either fake or a combined series.I'm with everyone else on the thread information wise.I'm just trying to figure it out.

Maybe the Go Buster Rangers will be in the RPM ep of Super Megaforce & thats how the'll get them out of the way for this. Go Busters only has 5 Rangers. Dino Charge will have 10 Rangers.

I'm just not getting my hopes up that this is either real or just Kyoryuger.I do want Kyoryuger to happen,there's just things in the report that don't make sense.

Unexpected, Confusing, and yet, hopeful
 

A cute move if it is true, but with the condemnation of Saban's modern iterations, it calls USA Today's information sources into question. The name "Dino Charge" and its plot sound a little too cute for what we have been getting and sound a little Disney-ish. Is Saban and his crew remembering what they ONCE gave us and learning from what many have called their "mistakes"? Nah! But then again, it is possible, just not probable. Be that as it maybe, I could see Go-Busters leading into ToQger IF it is done correctly. Also, remember the Legacy Mechas during a recent ToQger reveal. If having toyline trains of various Sentai/Riders means anything for the show, then a skip of a Go-Busters adaptation would be much too harmful for Saban in terms of toy sales. Either way you go, the Zord-Builder playability of the US might have to take a back seat in favor of something more useable. One also has to consider the lack of viable villains in Go-Busters and a possible need for new ones in Kyoryuger. Just another reason why JDF should get his own Green Ranger Movie. Doing so would give us a quality US baddie that could re-appear in a Go-Busters/Kyoryuger adaptation. I would say Kyoryuger as that would be a suitable 25th anniversary especially when one considers the Kyoryuger/Abaranger/Zyuranger teamup (with Go-Busters).

In terms of reporting... When they say a dozen they are not really being completely accurate with the information. I mean a dozen means a lot it doesn't really mean an even 12 in some cases. Secondly if they just announced the production I am sure they haven't really hashed out all the details. They probably have a basic synopsis but in terms of fine tuning they don't. I mean what if they want to add extra rangers? Or knock off the extra zyudenchi altogether? One can never know with Saban especially this early in the game. We are just going off tiny article. I am sure once Super Megaforce begins we will begin to hear more.

This is going to be a very fun year. Between me whining about the Gokaiger adaptation, TRAINS TRAINS TRAINS and speculations about how they are going to go about changing our sambasaurs! I can't wait!!! *takes out a box of WHINE* I CANT WAIIITTTTTTT

Ok it could be said to be one bounty hunter but I am pretty sure he wouldn't be working alone. He would have minions. Unless they make a completely new villain because they don't want the statue of liberty attacking us. I understand they can't skip seasons but if this is true... either A they changed the contract or B they are going to somehow rework go-busters in or even C... go-busters is coming after. I mean what does Saban care about sentai timeline? Its not like its a direct translation. Power Rangers is its own machine. They just borrow the suits!

If they do skip a season, I'm surprised Saban/Disney never negotiated this before. Still, it would be a bit disappointing that they're skipping Go-busters, that material is simply perfect for any story they wish to concoct, since the footage is easily adaptable.

I figure with Kyoryuger, they'll just simply reuse the story since it won't be hard to translate it directly.

If this wasn't coming from a Major news source I would not believe it. But as it is a Major News source I'm gonna belive it. It's kinda sad that we're probably not going to be getting Go-buster stuff, still thought this adaptation sound interesting plus this put theme closer back to the 1 season diffrence.

If he does return, I hope he has some new inexplicable occupation that landed him in this mess.

Well judging from the summary isn't that a bit original? I mean I know little of Kyoryuger aside from watching the first episode so maybe it's closer than I think.

I think that's kind of the problem. Go-busters had a weird format that would've been hard to make a Power Rangers season out of (buddy roids, only four actual rangers). If they ever did decide to make it, I would assume that J would be a human and morph into stag buster.

It was also a much darker story. Saban would much rather introduce a colorful new team with Dinosaurs than try to forcefully adapt a more mature storyline with only a few characters....that being said, it sounds like they've taken a few liberties with Kyoryuger as well. "Bounty Hunter"? Could they possibly be combining the two seasons?

I'd be disappointed if he wasn't the new Torin. He could keep his zord from Dino Thunder and he becomes silver instead of Black...that could be explained fairly easily I would think, and they could make Kyoryuger a sequel to Dino Thunder.

I really hope that they just switched Go-Busters and Kyoryuger around instead of outright skipping it. I want a poseable Beet and Stag Buster, dag nab it.

I think the main reason for 'skipping' Go-Busters has to do with the toys. Look at the Buster Gear: both the camera and the binoculars would have to have massive orange pieces since they become guns (per USA toy law). Then there's the sheer number of figures: four rangers and four buddyroids, plus all the different villains. And on top of this what ungodly mess would they come up with for the megazords. I don't trust BOA enough to be able to be able to make figures of these zords. Zords with two to three modes a piece that all merge together? Nope, not going to happen . Maybe.

Seriously we have no idea what is going through their heads. Saban most likely compared Go-busters and Kyoryuger then decided to go with the 'light and fluffy' instead of the 'derp and gritty'.

Hmm it could be something with the legendary war that happens. I could see how they could incorporate that in. I mean I wonder if the old rangers will lose their powers once the battle is over. Ooo or what if Kyoryuger takes place in the future and he is like frozen or something and then is awakened with no recollection of who he is only to know that his mission is to help the new rangers. Then something happens and he is awakened as Silver and remembers his past. Honestly the possibilities are endless for him if he were to become Silver and their mentor. Aww but I would miss Torin.

I could see him as the new Torin or even trapped inside of Dogold to be honest. That would be awesome... although his imprisonment won't be like super long though unless they made it take place in the future.

I honestly thought that the Go-busters storyline would translate well in the PR franchise. I do understand where it would get too dark but that could be easily fixed. Which is why it could be possible that they could either combine it with Kyoryuger or even just wait and do them out of order. I keep saying it would be pretty funny if they used the Dobutsu sentai instead haha. That would be hilarious. But the alien ranger concept sounds plausible. It would give a good story arc and incorporate them pretty well. Then we don't have to wait too long for trains.

That makes me think lol. Although we haven't even seen Tokkyuger yet. How is that going to fly in the states. I mean trains are not really seen as COOL. I mean the villains enough. With the tommyguns I am not sure how that is going to fly over here.

But Kyoryuger has 9 guns for 9 rangers and a mini crossbow/arbalest for the other. How is that easier to adapt toy wise? And Kyoryuger had 10 rangers plus an evil 1, far more characters to worry about.

Though that would take effort. And with what we've seen of current Saban....

I could totally see the mecha from gobusters being parts-formers.I do agree with you on the camera and binoculars.Both series,Kyoryuger and Gobusters were made for toylines.(Gobusters more for roleplay toys then others),but if this whole thing is true,the next thought in my mind is why? What thought entered their heads to skip a series?

But yeah, this seems like something Toei would have approved. They do get some of the profit since the costumes and robots are their creation so they could look at Nickelodeon not letting a full year carry 40 episodes and say "これで地獄へ" and let Saban skip seasons just to catch up to the Sentai. I wouldn't be suprised if Power Traingers also goes the way of Go-Busters since no matter how much if a marketing genius Saban is, trains are not the most marketable thing ever in the West and while you can market Traingers in the West, projections and charts of the success of similar children's train franchises would have quite a lot of influence on the choices of any mogul.

Let's all pray to Zordon that Nossan and Candi are the Vrak and Metal Alice of Dino Charge lest Sentai level the entire mainframe with blind, uncontrolled hatred. ;) :lol

The only thing I liked about Go-Busters that would make it to PR are the suits. But the Megazords were utterly horrid.

Kyouryger isn't much better, but at least I can tell what the zords are.

You have a point about the 9 rangers. So yeah, I'm off the mark on that one. But the guns, there are only two. One mold for everyone but in two different color schemes. And the arbalest would be super easy to pull off.

If that's the case, maybe Saban can tell Nickelodeon to shove the "two 20-episode seasons per Sentai plus two Halloween/Christmas clip shows" idea up their butts?
